I just realized that I've been writing The Serissa Chronicles completely wrong. I've been writing it as a single novel when it should be split into a trilogy. The first book should be dedicated to world building, character relationship building, and start of the real plot. The second book, the real adventure and action begins with rebellion and all that stuff. The third book should be the conclusion, with tension and the highest stakes and stuff. Crap, I've already written like 10 chapters of it. Well, this explains why it feels rushed to me. I was writing it entirely wrong. 

Welp, I'm going to go open a new Google Doc and start re-writing. Wish me luck.
