Back in the second grade, I saw a boy I really didn't like with a Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. I decided that I couldn't let him be better at reading then me, so I asked my mom to get me a Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. We went to the bookstore near our house, which has since closed. I bought the third book, unaware it wasn't the first. I had never read a book as bog as that before, but I was determined to try.

Once I started reading it, I couldn't stop. I bought the whole series. I once read the whole first book in less than an hour, still while I was in second grade. I started looking for other books to read, and here I am!

I became my school's best reader. One year, the principal asked me to read to the kindergarteners! Then, in 4th grade, I read The Hobbit. Reading is now my life, and I'm very pleased with that.
