-Leliana Pov-

After what seems like forever, the Nuckalvee Grimm falls. I weakly slump against the wall and lean my head back. My arms feel like lead, and my entire body feels heavier than it should be, as though someone filled it with cement. Looking over, I see Team RNJR give out various congratulations to each other. Velvet and Gideon are holding onto each other after making sure the other is okay, Nora and Ren hug after she angrily asks him what he was thinking. Ruby apologizes to Crescent Rose for it being damaged, and then Jaune slumps down next to me, and rests his head on my shoulder.

" Are you okay," he asks nervously. " We already used a lot of the medical supplies on Qrow. If you got injured, then all we'll be able to do is wait until we get to the next town." I smile weakly, and then kiss his cheek to assure him I'm fine, and then the two of us hold onto each other weakly, gasping for breath.

All of us gather around, and then begin to talk about how we all are glad that everyone is okay, as well as comfort each other. Ruby rubs the back of her head, and then she sighs. " I don't want to be the one to say it. But, we can't stay here. We need to push on into the next town." Reluctantly, we all nod when she says this, and then we nod, and help each other out, leaning on each other for support.

As we stand up, Jaune fumbles nervously for my hand, and then I let him take it, and he laces his fingers with mine. He lets out a sigh of relief when this happens, and then the two of us start to walk. We talk for a little bit, and then I tell him, " Pyhrra would be proud of you."

When I say this, he smiles and then thanks me for saying so. A more serious mood sets over all of us when I mention Pyhrra, but it soon goes away when they all start to talk about what their favorite memories of her had been. Once again, I picture her watching over all of us, and I smile at the thought of having someone look out for us. As the more somber mood begins to fade, I'm able to let out a genuine laugh as we realize we had been reading the map upside down.

-John Pov-

Yang I pull into a small town, and then head to the bar. She and I sit at the counter, and then just begin to talk about what our plan is for finding her mother, who I already plan to give the beat-down of a lifetime to for abandoning Yang. As she and I begin to talk, a man comes over to her and begins to flirt with her. I smirk, already knowing what's coming. A cathartic joy goes through me when she punches him through the wall.

He begins to groan in pain, and then Yang's real arm begins to tremble. Before she can reach for it to force it to stop shaking by herself, I reach over to grab it. She looks at me in surprise, and then I hold her hands for a few moments, before her arm returns to normal. " Thanks," she mutters, and then I smile at her and kiss her forehead.

I know she's been pushing herself lately. I know that learning to use a prosthetic can take years, never mind overcoming the mental trauma of what she went through. Her dedication is something I admire, but the standards she places on herself aren't something she can always live up to. Clearly, she had thought by now she would be over them.

" It's gonna be okay Yang," I tell her, and then she nods at me, and then leans against me. I wrap my arms around her, and then smile as I smell her hair. Everything is going to fall into place, I know it. We'll find Raven, and Ruby, and then reunite with everybody. Kick Adam's ass, and then save the world from some great evil. For now though, Yang is here in my arms, and that thought lets me relax a little bit.

-Weiss Pov-

" Sorry I punched your dad," (y/n) says again as we sit on the airship. We had to dash to make it here, being chased by the members of the security detail he hadn't already knocked out, and then my father had let me know in no uncertain terms that he had disowned me.

" Actually, it was nice to watch," I admit to him. " Other than Winter, you're the first person who ever stood up to him for me. I can't tell you how much that really means to me. You've always stood up for me and protected me."

" It's nothing Weiss," he says. You've always done the same thing for me." He and I look at each other lovingly, and then I rest my head on his shoulder, and he begins to play with my hair. I pretend to be annoyed by this,but secretly love being here with him, and knowing we're going after Cinder and everyone else, getting a chance to return the favor for the damage they caused for all of us.

" Weiss," he says. " When all of this is over, do you want to marry me?" I look at him in surprise, and my heart swells with joy. I'm about to say something else, and show is he until the airship starts to rattle. We look outside to see a horde of Grimm that appear to be wasps or bees, and then the two of us look at each other, chucking that our moment of peace has ended.

The two of us grab our weapons, and then open the door to the airship, ready to fight, not just here, but against anything that wants to split us apart.
