You sit in the JNPR dorm, and rub the tension and headache you feel building up. Leliana, Jaune and Phyrra have been in the middle of an argument for what feels like forever. Well, Phyrra sits out of the argument for the most part, she mostly just serves as a reference point for what this whole thing started from, Penny being killed. Phyrra swears up and down it was an accident, and everyone is quick to believe her, except for Leliana. Somehow, your entire team, RWBY and JNPR ended up being caught in the crossfires of this. As Jaune and Leliana grow angrier with each other, the rest of you begin to be used as examples of good/bad things to do in relationships. 

Every so often, someone like Nora will try and end the argument by trying to force an 'agree to disagree,' however the both of them shout over her. It's gotten to a point where Ruby, Yang and John have been able to start playing Remnant: The Board Game on the floor, and Jaune and Leliana are so focused on the argument that it isn't distracting to them. Blake somehow manages to maintain focus on her book, while Ren makes a smoothie that you would honestly rather die before drinking. Gideon plays rock-paper-scissors with himself, while you lie on Nora's bed, head in Weiss's lap as she strokes your hair. 

" No, I don't like how much time you spend with her," snaps Leliana. " I think you should spend more time with your girlfriend than some other girl!" Clearly, the topic of the argument is no longer a debate on if Phyrra killed Penny on purpose. It somehow became about how much time John spends with Phyrra. 

" We're just friends," Jaune argues, and you see Phyrra wince, knowing full well her feelings for her team leader. " Guys and girls can just be friends. Like you and Gideon! And, you and (y/n)! And you and John! Why is my friendship with Phyrra different?!"

" My teammates are in relationships,"points out Leliana. She considers something for a minute, and then decides not to, probably something about Phyrra's feelings for Jaune. Even as mad as she is, she respects Phyrra's right to privacy. 

The argument continues, and then John looks up for his board game, and says he has an idea. Everyone looks at him in confusion, and morbid wondering on what he's possibly going to say. " We can let this be one of those arguments, like when we found out Blake was a faunas. We all start taking over each other, and then one of us reveals a life-changing secret, which makes us all buddies again. Okay, who has a secret they wanna get out?"

You laugh at his answer, and then Weiss punches your shoulder, and gives you a look, clearly saying this is neither the time or place for it. You give her a defeated look, and then she goes back to playing with your hair. You dangle out your scroll, and then off her a headphone, which she takes. 

" Okay," interjects John. " If no one else wants to reveal something life changing, I have another idea. The two of you stop this before one you says something you regret, but can never take back." Everyone starts to point to him in agreement, before Leliana scoffs. 

" Easy for you to say. You spend a lot of time with Yang, and have been on actual dates before." This makes John scoffs little bit, before lacing his arm around Yang, and taking a breath, ready to give either a joke, or an actual helpful statement. You can never tell with that guy, but the suspense keeps it interesting. 

" Yang and I fight all the time. We have tempers. She flirts with other guys, and it used to drive me crazy. But, I realized she isn't going to leave me. The two of us get angry with each other from time to time, but we never argue when we're angry. We take the time to calm down, and have a conversation when we're calm. Neither of us wanna say something in anger, and then lose the other forever."

This makes Jaune and Leliana look like they're actually considering it for a moment. John looks hopeful, as does everyone else in the room. However, it isn't to be, as the argument takes full force once more, returning slightly to the issue with Penny, before bouncing back and forth to a ride range of topics. 

" Guys stop," calls Phyrra. " I don't want you to argue, especially over me. I promise you, I had no idea Penny was a robot. I saw her launching so many swords at me, so I went to use my Semblance to counter. I didn't mean for that to happen."

After a moment, all of you nod in agreement, knowing that it probably was Emerald screwing with her mind. You really hoped Ironwood finished that investigation before anyone else could be hurt by her. However, your attention goes back to the argument when you see Phyrra wipe tears from her eyes, and then take a shaky breath. 

" And, if it's the only way the two of you can keep being together, then I can spend less time with Juane." Saying this destroys her, but you can't help but admire how much she's willing to do to make sure the man she loves is happy. 

Leliana opens her mouth to say something, and then Juane cuts her off. " Not happening. You're my best friend Phyrra. Leliana, you're being completely unreasonable! Nothing has ever happened between me and her, and nothing will. I don't see why I have to pick between which one of you I can pick to have in my life. Leliana, please don't make me pick."

Your teammate closes her mouth, but still looks pissed, like she's about to say something, and is carefully picking her next words. However, before she can, several explosions rock the building, and smoke alarms go off. Looking out the window, you see hordes of Grimm start to flood into the school. 

" Fuck me sideways," you mutter.
