Part 2

As the years went on, Weiss and (y/n) became great friends. Despite all their flaws, the two of them loved spending time with each other, and being around each other. However, that all changed when Weiss got to sixth grade. It was a relatively normal day for her, as she was just doing her homework, and listening to some music. She looked up in confusion when she saw her father turn off the radio.

" Weiss, I need to talk with you regarding something," he says in a tone that irritates Weiss. He always talks to her like she's a client he's trying to make a sale with, rather than his own daughter. " I would like if you were to stop seeing (Y/n)." When he says this, Weiss looks at him with utter confusion.

" Why? He's my best friend, and he hasn't done anything wrong," she protests. " Daddy, he's my only friend other than Winter, and she's always busy with applying to Atlas. (y/n) is the only person who wants to spend time with me."

Jacques sighs and then gives her one of his famous ' stupid girl' looks. " Yes. Well, Winter lost her position as heiress when she decided to apply to Atlas. Which means you will be the one to inherit the Schnee family company, and thus industry. It is of the utmost importance that you maintain the good view the public has of you."

" But, daddy! You never said anything when I would spend time with (y/n) all through elementary school," she protests desperately. " Why does it matter now all of the sudden that I can't spend time with him?"

Her father gives her another harsh look. " You're no longer a child Weiss. When you were a kid, I would allow it. As a child, it isn't uncommon to have friends of less than stellar character. However, you're older now. The press is going to slowly start monitoring your actions, and the actions of those around you. Being friends with (y/n) is going to hurt that reputation."

" He doesn't do anything wrong," she cries. " He isn't a criminal, and he's not a bad person. In fact, he has such a big heart. He and I met only because he was standing up for me. (y/n) has a lot of talent, and makes me happy."

When she says this, Jacques gives a dry laugh. " Oh, sweetie. What talents could he possibly have? Is he organized? Smart? Cunning? Can he sing? Dance? Organize events? Or does he just have a good right hook? While a talent, it's hardly one that the Schnees need following them around."

Tears filling her eyes, Weiss looks down. Her scroll rings, and she sees it's a text from (y/n), asking if she wants to hang out. She reaches for her scroll, and then Jacques grabs it, and pulls it away from her. " Either ignore his text, or tell him you must cease to spend time with him. And one more thing. If you do choose to tell him you won't spend time with him anymore, you cannot mention a word of what I said. For the press, you must make it seem like you came to this realization on your own."

By this point, the young girl is crying freely. She takes her scroll back, and chooses to put it away. Jacques nods, and leaves her crying freely. Her young mind can't possibly understand why this is happening to her. (y/n) is her best friend, and for some reason her father forbids her from spending time with her. All she can manage to do is cry and cry.

The next day at school almost broke her heart. (y/n) came up to her, smiling happily, asking her how she is. However, the words from her father running around in her mind, she keeps walking, doing her best to ignore the pain that flashes in his eyes. This same loop repeats for several days, before (y/n) simply gives up.

One day, she finds him sitting in the courtyard, crying into his knees. Her heart breaks, and she can't imagine how he feels. To him, it must seem like his best friend suddenly started hating him. All of her wants to go and comfort him, but she knows what her father will do. The heiress watches helplessly as her best friend cries his eyes out.

On another day, she watches him cry. Three boys come up to him, and start to laugh at him. " Aw man, are you really the same (y/n) (l/n) from elementary school. You used to be such a tough guy. Although, maybe because you were hanging out with a Schnee back then."

( y/n) looks up, his glare appearing, even through his tears. This makes one of the bullies laugh, probably from seeing the contrast between his rage and sadness. " Come on, it isn't us you wanna be mad at. It's Weiss. She's the one who left you."

Hearing this, (y/n) stands up. Wiping his eyes, the sadness in his eyes is replaced with pure anger. " Don't you dare say that about her," he shouts. " She's my friend!" This makes the group of boys break into mocking laughter.

" Oh please. She's just a spoiled little bitch," one of them says, which makes Weiss wince, and (y/n) curl his hands into fists. The boy doesn't seem to have picked up on this, and gives a smirk. " She was probably only friends with you because it was some sort of charity project."

With this, (y/n) is in motion, instantly in a fight with the three of them. Weiss dashes off to go and find a teacher before (y/n) can get hurt. When she comes back with someone, she sees (y/n) breathing heavily, standing over the knocked out bodies of the three of them. He smirks, and then it instantly fades when he sees Weiss and the teacher.

Before Weiss can stand up for him, (y/n) is dragged into the principles office. In there, his father sits, looking more burnt out than anything else. The principle starts talking with the boy of them, although mostly the elder (l/n) as (y/n) tunes him out. Eventually, his father stands up and gestures for him to follow. He does, and the two of them get into a car.

" What the hell is wrong with you," he asks. " Picking fights?! Getting yourself into trouble? Your mother and I go through a lot of trouble to keep you in the school, and this is how you repay us? Why the hell were you even in a fight this time?"

( y/n) gave a shrug, and did his best to steel himself. He had learned a long time ago not to show weakness, especially not in front of his father. " They were making fun of me, and then saying that Weiss had never been my friend," he says, evenly as he can. This makes his father laugh.

" Son, she's a Schnee. And, I should have told you this a long time ago, from the second you started hanging out with her, and passing the time with her. Schnees never do anything for free. The girl probably wanted something from you down the line."

This makes you angry, but you've long since learned to keep your mouth shut when it comes to your father. " You know what," he says. " Screw this. I'll talk with your mother when we get home, and she and I will finalize our plans for the move."

Your eyes widen, but you just look out the window. Little did Weiss or you know it at the time, but the two of you were both losing your best friends on that day.
