-Your Pov-

After lunch, the three teams make their way over to the first class of the day, you head into Professor Port's room. Looking on the seating chart he has posted on the door, you and your team head over to sit behind Team RWBY. Professor Port quickly goes through roll call before going into a story about his time as a huntsman. Idly, you wonder if there's a point to his story, and if he's going to give you a syllabus, or do anything a little bit more productive today. But, Oum doesn't seem to have listened to you. Looking around the room, you can tell that no one else is really enjoying this either. Most people are either asleep or doing something else. Hell, anything else has to be more enjoyable than this. Next to you, you hear Leliana mutter, " I wonder if I could hit my head on the desk hard enough to just kill me."

Giving a chuckle, you continue to look around the room. You stop when you see the antics of Team RWBY. Blake simply reads from her book, hiding it in the textbook. Yang simply is asleep, and snores into her arm. Weiss tries her best to listen to the story, but you know this is boring her out of her mind. Ruby however, checked out a long time ago. She picks her nose, and then draws several pictures, mocking Professor Port. When Ruby shows this Weiss, the heiress rolls her eyes, and scoffs in irritation.

Port looks up at the teams largely ignoring his story. Seeing this, he gets a somewhat evil smile. From there, he lists all the qualities a huntsman should have. Then, he asks who thinks they embody those traits. Weiss's hand shoots up into the air, and he gives a smirk at her. He leaves from the classroom for a few minutes, before coming back with a cage. Inside of it, a Grimm thrashes against the cage.

He calls her into the center of the room, and she has her rapier with her. Mrytentaster. As she gets into a combat stance, Port begins to open the cage. When it rushes out, the two of them begin to fight. Weiss barely manages to hold her ground, and her blows have no affect on the creature. Ruby stands up, and cups her hand over her mouth. " Weiss, you have to stab the underbelly! Everything else is armored!"

Rather than thank her and use that strategy, Weiss simply tells her she doesn't need help. However, in the end she stabs the Borbatusk in the belly, and killing it. She turns to her team, specifically at Ruby. She starts to yell at her for being immature, before saying, " Ozpin made a mistake making you team leader!"

With that, she storms out of the room. Ruby looks incredibly saddened, and you place a hand on your shoulder. " I'm going to talk with her," you tell them. " I promise you she isn't mad at you or a bad person. She's just....difficult sometimes."

Gideon sniggers. " She's a bully. The entire Schnee family hates the faunas for being different. And Weiss? Her team leader tried to help her, and then she just yelled at her. And then, she used the same exact strategy Ruby suggested. I hate people like her."

You stand up, and turn to him. " You don't even know her. I know her better than all of you guys. I promise you when I go talk her, this is going to get better for all of you." Over the protests of some of them, you walk out of the room. Eventually, you find Weiss sitting on a bench. Coming next to her, you sit down.

Asking her what's wrong, she goes on a tirade about how Ruby shouldn't even be at Beacon, much less be team leader. When she finishes, she sighs. " Weiss, you know I mean this from a good place. You sound really spoiled right now. Like you think just because you want something you should get it." You say this softly, doing your best to avoid angering her further.

She looks at you in confusion. " But, (y/n) you know as well as I do that I haven't gotten everything I wanted. Like when I wanted to still be friends with you." You hold up your hands to let her know you completely agree with her assessment. " So, why would you even bring it up?"

" Because that's how the rest of the people in the room see you for the outburst. They're saying things about how you're a bully for your outburst. And this isn't helping you improve the name of the Schnee family. This is exactly how anyone else from your family would react."

Weiss sighs, and then buries her head in her hands. You place a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. She looks at you, her icy blue eyes laced with confusion and doubt. " And besides, Ruby has some potential. It was her idea that got the Grimm killed in the end. In mere minutes, she was able to coordinate the team attack, and assess all of our strategies and fighting talent. In time, she can be a good leader."

When you say this, she looks at you, more understanding in her eyes. " And in time, she'll grow more into the role. You have talents Weiss. But, it just doesn't lie in leadership. So, be the best teammate you can. The best fighter. The best friend, and the best person."

She nods at you, and then gets up. " I should probably go apologize to her huh," she says, and you nod. " Thank you (y/n)."

-Weiss Pov-

That night, I sit with Ruby and make her some coffee. I talk with her, and give some apologies to her, which she accepts. Getting up, I go to leave the room. Before I do, I turn back to her. " And hey. I always wanted bunk-beds when I was a kid." With that, I leave the room, smiling to myself.
