~Virgil PoV~

"She's back?" I asked in awe. Nix, my childhood best friend. Is back. I shot up, forgetting about the dog. Roman took a shocked step back. I leaped to my feet and ran out, taking off my jacket in the process. 

Roman caught me before I made it out the door. "Virgil wait." 

"Why? I haven't seen her in so long!" I exclaimed, scowling at him. Why couldn't he just let me go?

"You're still injured." he stated matter o' factly. I growled and ripped my arm from his grip.

"Well, I have to see her!" I yelled, my wings unfurling menacingly. Roman unfurled his too, more regally then me. I rolled my eyes and decided to skip the cliche Disney and I walked out of the house and started to fly to the Dreamworld. I could hear wingbeats behind me, it only motivated me to go faster.

As I neared, I saw a woman with raven black hair tied in a high ponytail. Her hair reached her waist, she had pale skin and was wearing a navy long sleeve shirt and black leggings. I falcon dived to her, she looked up and stumbled back. I barreled into her and attacked her with a hug. 

We rolled on the ground, eventually, we came to a stop,  me on top of her. I laughed and got off of her, helping her up. She smiled and hugged me.

"Anx! So good to see you!" she exclaimed. I nodded and hugged her back, a smile tugging at my lips.

"I missed you so much Nixxie..." I said, smirking as I knew her reaction. She pulled away and glared at me.

"Don't call me that!" she said, exasperated. I rolled my eyes, still smiling.

"So I'm guessing you're resuming your full-time job?" I asked. She nodded.

"I'm sorry... leaving you like that..." she sighed. I shook my head.

"It's okay, actually do you want me to give you some of my weapons?" I asked. I heard Roman land but paid no mind. She smiled.

"What do ya have?" she asked.

"Bow an' arrow, dagger, my old katana...." I smiled at the thought. 

"Can I have the bow n' arrow and dagger? Keep the katana Master gave you." she said smiling. I nodded, then I noticed the moon was starting to set.

"I'll bring them to you tomorrow, I gotta go," I said. She nodded understandingly, but before I could leave she pulled me aside and whispered,

"So you still have a crush on the creative aspect?" she asked. I blushed and pushed her away.

"W-what?! N-No! W-Why would I-I..." I huffed and flew back. Roman flying alongside me. I tilted my wings down and I glided smoothly down. Roman did something wrong, because the next thing I know, I am hurtling down to the ground, Roman on my back. I spread my wings as wide as they could get and we slow down a bit, but we're still free-falling back to the ground. 

I quickly teleport back to my room. I crash onto my bed and groan. I look around, I should have teleported Roman to his room.

I sighed with relief and went to bed, too tired to do anything else really...

Sorry it's so short! But I have this thing now where I want to update at least one book per week. So chapters may be a bit rushed and short.
