-Jade-
"I told you to ignore it." William growled as she pulled away from him. Judging from his impatience, and her own lack of self-control, this would not end in anything else than William getting hurt.
"Quit it, William." She whispered and pushed her palm against his chest to free herself from him. He licked his upper lip, accepting the challenge she hadn't given him. While he placed a heated kiss on her lips, his hand found the spot inside of her that caused her to moan out loud.
"Louder, Jade." He growled with a husky voice and pressed her against his erection. She placed her palms against his chest and exhaled heavily as he continued to torment her in a amazingly pleasing way.
He will be the death of me... She thought but smiled internally.
"I know you want to..." He said in a deep tone and pushed her against himself. Jade lost the last of her self-control and rocked slowly against him. A dark groan vibrated against her lips, pleased from what she was doing. "... Let me hear how much you love it." He sighed and moved some of her hair out of her face and grabbed her neck eagerly. Jade's voice shattered as his fingers teased her, almost to the brink of her mind, and she slowly surrendered herself to him.
Once again the sound of knocking erupted from the door. Jade could almost have burst out into laughter if she had not been staring into William's eyes as he heard it as well. She saw all of his lust disappear and a smile made its way to her lips.
"Do not look so content." He muttered and drew her into his embrace. Her arms encircled his neck and she breathed in the scent of him as she pressed her chest against his.
A part of her was disappointed that they had been interrupted but it was for the best... She would have, gladly, surrender to him and she knew she would have loved every second of it.
"Keep calm." She whispered in his ear with her eyes on the door.
If the guard valued his life he would not dare to knock again. The man underneath her would lose his mind, and she was not going to stop him since it had been so long since she saw that side of him.
"What if I do not want to keep calm?" He hissed aggressively. His hands traveled to her waist and his fingers softly dug into her skin as he tried his best to do as she asked. Jade lifted her head and looked at him while she gently caressed his cheeks.
"Can I please kill-"
"You cannot kill him just because he is doing his duty." Jade laughed quietly. "Come now..." She cooed and kissed him between his eyebrows. "Don't look so upset."
The look in William's eyes went from anger to despair. She could read the disappointment in his face and it amused her, immensely. He wanted nothing else than to be with her right now. One of the strong hands around her waist moved up to the side of her neck and pulled her face close to his.
"I want you." He breathed almost inaudibly. Jade gasped from the candor in his voice. A ripple of undeniable excitement shot through her. It was the last drop. There was no willpower left in her to withstand his, or her own, lust.
I am going to regret this... A voice whispered in her mind, but she was beyond stopping now. She needed him as much as he needed her right now.
Jade lifted herself over him and kissed him so deeply that it made him moan into her. She positioned herself over him, took the liberty to touch and grip around him with her left hand. William answered her kiss with passion and was quick to put his other arm around her waist.
Excruciatingly slow, she lowered herself onto him and smiled when he gasped against her lips. A not so quiet moan exited through her lips as she was experiencing his full length and size for the first time in forever. Jade rode him carefully and enjoyed her husband's eagerness for her. Wonderful, mind breaking waves hit her sooner than she thought and she felt her breath become heavier and harder. He cupped her right breast and she felt how he tensed up inside of her.
"Your grace!" A dark voice boomed outside the door and very determined knocking echoed into the chamber. Their lust for each other had made them forget that there was still someone outside of the door.
They both stiffened from the sound of the familiar voice; it was Loren's. The other guard must have gone and fetched him because William rarely chased him off.
Always with impeccable timing, Loren... Jade thought and closed her eyes in agitation. She tried to ignore him and continued riding William. She caught his lips in a steamy kiss and felt him draw a deep, aroused breath through his nose, obviously trying to ignore the guard outside the door as well.
"Your grace! It is urgent!" Loren called with a grave voice and Jade heard that he knew they were in there and ignoring him.
William groaned in defeat and displeasure, snaked his arms around Jade's back and kissed the pit in her neck before getting out of the bath.
"For fuck's sake!" He hissed against her skin and she felt his fingers dig into her skin again. She dropped her head backwards a little and looked up into the ceiling. She shivered when William suddenly locked his lips around one of her nipples as a last treat.
. . .
"What is this about, Loren?" William muttered after Jade had let the guard into the chamber. He bowed his head at her and then closed the door himself as she walked over towards William who was sitting on the edge of the bed.
They had gotten dressed in thick robes which was also one of the things William had prepared for her arrival. Jade had put her hair up in a half-wet, half-dry bun and was as sexually frustrated as she knew her husband was right now. He threw her a very hungry look as she approached him. A quick wink with his left eye sent jolts through her body and she narrowed her eyes, warning him to behave. It only caused him to smile that devilishly handsome smile which made her weak to her knees.
Her heart filled with ease and so much love to see him like this. Full of life and almost back to health. She could not wait for when he would be completely healed.
"Your father has arrived." Loren told William and placed his hands behind his back. "He wishes to speak to you about the war and how you should to proceed from now on. You also have to send word to your allies."
Jade scoffed amused and gave Loren a soft push when she passed him. The words leaving him was not his own. It was clear as day that they were absolutely and solely the king's words.
Why could he not just come here himself? Did he really have to send Loren for this? She wondered and pitied the guard. There were dark circles underneath his eyes and it was the first time she could truly see how his undying loyalty was taking its toll on him. He needed to rest and get a moment of peace after these last couple of months.
William raised his brows in surprise of her informal behavior with Loren but just shook his head. She sat down next to him on the bed and he took her hand in his.
"Is he already here?" William asked Loren, calm but surprised. He nodded in response. "Where is he?"
"The library, your grace." Loren answered him.
"Tell him I am on my way."
"I can send him up here, if you want, your grace." Loren suggested and it immediately turned William's whole face dark. "He does not want you to-"
"I am on my way." William enunciated every word slowly and the tone cautioned Loren to say something that would anger him even more.
"And go to sleep." Jade added with a stern voice. Both of them looked at her with curious but kind eyes. "Now." She continued and it brought out a smile on their lips.
"Yes, your grace." Loren teased her but left to do exactly as she told him.
"Look who is practicing for her future role." William whispered with admiration in his voice.
"Well, he will be of no use if he never gets to rest." She replied.
"As I said..." William chuckled and rose to his feet, but not without struggle.
-William-
His father waited by the fireplace in the far end of the library.
Jade walked at his right side with her hand on his arm and he could not believe they were finally here. She had helped him get dressed in something more appropriate but not too formal. Jade's assistance was the only one he was ever going to accept and admit that he needed.
To his surprise she had not mentioned if she was going to stay during the meeting with his father. She had helped him down to the library but had not said anything on the way... He had almost expected her to demand that she was going to take part in it but she didn't.
He threw a glance at her and felt so happy and at peace. It did not matter that he needed her help moving around in the castle, or the chaos that would come their way with the war... As long as she was here, by his side, he could not help but to feel overjoyed.
Although, it would have been better if the wound would have been healed by now... He complained in his mind and grimaced when it throbbed painfully. Jade was probably right... if it hurts this much now, just from walking down here, then it was probably for the best that we did not get the chance to continue earlier. He admitted to himself, but he still wanted her so badly.
Jade's icy blue eyes studied every bookshelf and he could tell that she was curious about what books she could read later.
The memory of her in his father's library flashed before his eyes. How her fingers had traced the shelves for something new to read when he had returned from the battle covered in dirt and soot, not caring to take a bath before seeing her.
Jade gasped, and woke him from the memory, when she noticed how big the library actually was when she moved her gaze from the shelves to study the large windows that let in the daylight. William studied her eyes as they took the room in.
"What are you thinking about?" He asked her and interrupted her observation of the library.
"How much time I will be spending in here..." She answered him in a warm voice. "It is so beautiful." She sighed and raised her eyes study the very tall bookshelves again. They reached all the way to the ceiling, and ladders that rested against the shelves here and there.
"My son." He greeted William and then looked at Jade. His father had turned around as soon as he noticed their presence. "Jade." He said her name in a tone which expressed how he adored the very sight of her.
"Your grace." Jade greeted him and smiled with her head tilted to the side.
She is blushing. William stated to himself and admired his wife quietly. '
He felt her hand slip off his arm and how she stopped.
"I will leave you two to discuss-"
"You are leaving?" He asked her quietly and his brows furrowed. Jade's face expressed confusion but a shy smile rested on her lips.
"I... I just thought your father would want to speak to you in private about the war." She answered. "You do not need me here for that."
This is not like her.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" She whispered insecurely and glanced at his father before looking at him again.
"I thought you were going to demand to be a part of this." He answered her in a quiet voice.
"I know nothing about warfare." She stated and he heard how she considered this to be reason enough for her to not be here. "I will not be of any use. I will go and have a look around while you talk." She said and kissed him softly.
"Could you not stay instead?" William asked. "I would like to join you for that, later..."
"You would?" She whispered in surprise.
"I built this for us, Jade." He answered her lovingly.
"You did not." She snickered amused and a bit shyly. "Loren told me that this," she gestured towards the whole building with her hands, "has been under construction for years."
"I will show you." William chuckled and Jade immediately looked intrigued by his words.
"Actually, I need you here as well, Jade." The king suddenly interrupted them and William shot his father a agitated look when he realized that he had been eavesdropping. "What? I am not deaf, yet." He chuckled and walked towards them.
-Jade-
"What for?" Jade asked surprised.
"We need to make preparations for your coronation." The king answered her and her heart stopped.
My coronation?
"I thought that was just 'ceremonial nonsense'." She whispered to William and bit down on her lower lip.
"If you two are done with your so-called whispering, I would like to get this over with." Her father in law said.
"Lets hear what he was to say." William answered her and motioned her to walk towards the chairs in front of the fireplace.
A moment later Jade was sitting in a padded chair next to William and he was looking very uncomfortable. She could see a hint of sweat in his forehead and she knew he was in pain. He had pushed his body too much by walking down here and now he was paying the price.
She was surprised that William wanted her here. She had never been involved in this part of his life before and did not know what she could possibly contribute with. This was not her place to be, she thought, but apparently both of the men in the room wanted her here.
"I do not think that silence will get 'this over with'... " Jade said and pouted her lips. "What is happening? Why do I have to be crowned so soon?" She asked when William nor the king had said anything for a while.
The king looked at her with content dripping from his eyes. They then looked at his son, they shared a very long silent moment.
"Well?" Jade said impatiently but politely.
"If you are ever away... I will sit by her side just for the fun as she holds audiences." William's father chuckled and it brought his son to laugh a very heartwarming laughter.
"I am still here." Jade reminded them when they were speaking of her like she was not even there. "Your grace."
"I know, dear." The king replied kindly. "To answer one of your questions, you have to be crowned if something happens to me during this upcoming war." He answered her and it was the exact words William had told her. The king read the confusion in her eyes and continued. "If I have to step down, or get killed, you have to be crowned so that my brother in law will not overthrow William."
"How can he overthrow him? William is already royal?" Jade argued. "It makes no sense."
"He is, but that man will grasp at any straw to win this war, no matter what it is. Even a detail such as your status."
"She is practically royal already." William interrupted them. He looked at her and she saw how he knew, without even bringing it up, that she was not comfortable with the coronation. "Do we really have to rush it?"
"Yes." His father answered sternly. "And that is the end of it. I have already given the staff the instructions, and the tailors have been told to make her a new dress solely for this occasion."
"Fine." William muttered and shot Jade an apologetic look. "When?"
"In two weeks." The king answered.
"And what about the war?" Jade interrupted them.
The king gave her an intrigued look and waited for her to continue. William's arm was propped against the armrest, and he rested his chin on his thumb and his index finger pressed softly against his cheek as he also waited.
Are they seriously listening to me? Jade wondered in amazement at the sight of a king and a prince waiting for her to speak.
"I... I mean... I know nothing about these things but, how much time do we have before..."
"Before what, dear?" The king asked and folded his arms over his chest.
"Before you need to go into battle?" She asked.
"That depends, but a month, maybe two." William answered before his father got the chance. "I need to send words to our allies." He said and disappeared into his own mind for a second. "... and we need to get your soldiers up here." He said to his father.
"They are already here." The king said with a content smile. "You think I left them at the castle?"
Jade laughed in relief.
"So..." Jade said. "... what about the queen?" She asked and kept her eyes on the king. "If you do not mind me asking."
The man's face turned grim instantly but she also saw how his eyes filled with sorrow.
I should not have asked...
"My Eleanora has made her choice." He stated in a low voice. "She has betrayed our kingdom and I hope the people will see it for that and not turn on us." He mumbled and gave his son a troubled look. "She is her brother's problem now."
I definitely should not have asked. It is obvious that her decision hurt him... She thought. The king had lowered his gaze to his hands before it returned to Jade.
"Now she can sit alone in a chamber in his castle, and drink all of his wine." William spat quietly and it caused Jade to hush him to spare his father of the hurt.
"Do they still think I tried to murder her?" Jade asked the king and swallowed nervously.
"No." He answered her. "Well, some do, but they are occupied with being scared witless of what the war will bring so they will not come after you, if that was what you were asking?"
"It was not." Jade replied. "I am worried how it will affect William... and his claim to the throne." She stated and looked at her husband. He smiled faintly at her.
"William has a long road ahead of him..." His father admitted and Jade could tell that he shared her concern with her. "... but I have faith in my son, and just because lies were spread about you, his claim to the throne stays the same. He will be an even better king than me when he gets the chance." He said and the pride in his voice almost broke Jade's heart.
Even though William had been rude, cruel and a hot-tempered prince, all because of his mother, his father still believed in him.
"Not to mention what a phenomenal queen I predict you will become, Jade." The king said and she felt both of their gazes on her.
"I completely agree." William's voice dripped with composed excitement.
How can they know that? Jade wondered and squirmed in her seat. How do they know that I will be a good queen? I do not even know what that entails. They sound so sure... How can they be so sure of such a thing?
