Rin opened his eyes and let off a big yawn.

Egyn - "Rin!"

Rin was pleasantly surprised to see his father, but unhappy to see the fear and worry etched into his features.

Rin - "Da -"

He broke out in a fit of violent coughing, startling Séan awake (he was sleeping in a chair nearby.) His dad helped him sit up and had a ball of water ready for him to sip on.

Egyn - "Take your time, Rin. I'm not going anywhere."

Séan crawled in his bed behind him and hugged him tightly. Rin drank his water slowly and gave his dad the cup when he was done.

Rin - "What happened? I remember the ghoul biting me, but nothing after. Did you take care of things at home?"

Egyn - "I'm not concerned with things at home. My son was verbally abused and neglected to the point he was chemically burned, was punished for something he had nothing to do with, was again verbally abused by a classmate, and then physically attacked to the point blood loss made him pass out. Akamaru is not a blip on my radar at the moment."

Rin - "Blood loss?"

Séan - "The ghoul bit you and you lost a ton of blood before your Pa showed up. You passed out after the ghouls were destroyed."

Rin - "Sorry."

Egyn - "For what Rin? You did nothing wrong."

Rin - "I dunno."

Rin's hand inched toward his arm. Séan intercepted him and let Rin play with his fingers.

Séan - "You just finished healing from the ghoul attack, don't go poking more holes into yourself."

Rin - "Did you find out who sent the ghouls?"

Egyn - "No. Xanpih ho xeapt. Pardon my language boys. I had destroyed the ghouls in my rage."

Rin - "You haven't spoken Genhennian in a good while. Is being close to this many uneducated humans stressing you out?"

Egyn - "Maybe a touch, however I can persist through my moments of discomfort if it means I can keep you two safe."

Rin's tail thumped on the mattress and his ears started twitching.

Séan - "I know that look~"

Egyn - "As do I. Rin, my child, my love, what are you planning?"

Rin - "Are we still having family dinner with Sammy and Yukio?"

Egyn - "Indeed, Samael rearranged his schedule and was going to arrive regardless whether or not we were."

Rin - "I want to ask him something. What are you hungry for?"

Séan - "Borscht!"

Egyn - "Samael lived in Germany for most of his time in Assiah, I recommend a strudel of sorts for dessert. As for dinner itself, borscht would be a good side, however, a dish or two from Akamaru would be pleasant to bridge our cultures. A few common Japanese sides would help Yukio not feel out of place."

Rin - "Borscht and kalua pork with grilled fruit. Sides of white rice, edamame, and I'm thinking soft boiled eggs with salt. Mini apple and peach strudels with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Is that a good menu?"

Egyn - "I believe it is a wonderful menu. Are you headed to Akamaru for ingredients?"

Rin - "Yes, Dmitri has all the things I can use to make borscht, and Colette makes kalua pork every week. It's too late for me to make it from scratch and I don't want store bought stuff. Fresh is always best when it comes to pork and Collete makes it better than me. I was also thinking of making homemade chips with a pineapple chili salsa. I have some red and green chilis left over in the fridge."

Egyn - "Just don't overexert yourself. You did just heal, but I don't want you to injure yourself further. As such, Séan is to accompany you. I do not want you to hurt yourself at home and for me to be unaware. Séan, another charm to summon me to replace the one you used."

Egyn handed over a new puka necklace with light green and yellow shells.

Egyn - "Now I have a very uncomfortable meeting to sit through with Samael and Oda Chihiro as well as Lusine's biological father."

Egyn performed a glamor on himself. His disguised human form was six foot, four inches tall. He kept his darker skin as well as his golden eyes, though they were not completely round, they weren't slitted either. His teeth became more human, and his body was well muscled. He snapped his fingers and his royal circlet and his malo were replaced with a classy white suit, black dress shoes, and a gold earring with his sapphires and emerald dangling loosely.

Rin - "Bye Dad, I'll see you later. Try not to kill either of them."

Egyn smiled exasperatedly and leaned down to kiss Rin's forehead.

Egyn - "I will do my best, Rin."

Egyn left through a portal leaving the two boys alone.

Séan - "I know you're itching for a shower, so get ready and I'll text Collete to set aside pork and fruit for us. Maybe a grilled skewer or two."

Egyn - "Samael, I arrived."

Mephisto - "Dear me brother, you clean up nicely for a human. They humans should be here shortly. I recommend switching your suit color to dark blue and lose the tie. Humans are strange that if they see two persons wearing the same color, they perceive those individuals to be related."

Egyn - "Unfortunately, we are."

Mephisto - "Yes, however, humans will accuse favoritism, which technically yes Varinius and Séanan are among my favorites, the school can be sued for such a thing and I haven't the mood to deal with it."

Egyn sighed dramatically and snapped his fingers. His suit slowly changed in color to a deep ocean color,

Egyn - "As you say. If that is your reasoning, should I wait outside for the humans?"

Mephisto - "If you wouldn't mind, dear brother."

Egyn left his younger brother's office, and sat in the reception room right outside it. The clock on the wall read quarter past noon. The meet was scheduled in a few minutes, so he started scrolling through his phone to catch up on the events going on back on Akamaru and in the world at large.

??? - "I swear to god, this is bullshit! I didn't have to leave work for something so stupid!"

Egyn put his phone back in his pocket to pay attention to the belligerent human man that burst through the door. He wore a well-loved gray suit with shiny black shoes. He continued to wear a pair of silver plastic sunglasses indoors and was now shouting to a woman called Haruka through his phone. Upon noticing Egyn, he hung up his phone and sat near him with a plastered grin.

Akihito - "Hello, sir. I'm Yukimura Akihito. I own the Akibara Cathouse in the Red Light District in Kyoto. I have plenty of great options for you if you wouldn't mind stopping by~"

Egyn's blood boiled. This was the the scumbag that the sweet soul that was Lusine's father. And he was advertising a brothel in a school with students not even five feet away.

Egyn - "Samael, If you don't get out here in the next ten seconds, I'm killing this human filth."

Mephisto quickly opened the door after glamoring his fangs and eyes.

Mephisto - "Gentlemen, pleased you both could make it. Also, Yukimura, speaking of such places in a building of children is quite distasteful. Please, come and sit down, Oda Chihiro will be joining us shortly."

Egyn stood and straightened his jacket and walked back into the office with no-nonsense strides and no wasted movement. The human dirt followed in a hunched over stance and a scowl on his face. The office was changed dramatically. His desk and filing cabinets now sat in a corner. The horrendously colored furniture was replaced by semi large rectangular table and simple plastic and metal chairs.

Mespsito sat at the head of the table, Egyn sat to his left, and Akihito sat across from him.

Oda - "Mister Faust, you wanted to speak with me?"

Egyn clenched his fist around his pant leg at the sound of the woman who had harmed his son.

Mephisto - "Yes, come in and take a seat."

The woman stepped into the room and took pause at the sight of them. She was fairly attractive, for a human. Long dark brown hair, matching brown eyes, light blue sundress and green flats. Definitely not chemistry appropriate attire. Already she ground down on his already frayed nerves. She took a seat two seats away from Egyn and Mephisto cleared his throat.

Mephisto - "Alright, introductions. I am the principal of True Cross, Johann Faust. This is Oda Chihiro, one of my chemistry teachers. To my right is Yukimura Akihito, father of one Yukimura Akito, and to my left is Shizoku Egyn, father of one Shizoku Varinius."

The woman's eyes widened slightly at the name recognition.

Oda - "Shizoku? You son is quite the joy to have in class, always so polite and so smart."

Egyn - "Cou kehytex fopan *ahem* From what I have gathered, you have forced my son to work with caustic chemicals, something he is exempt from because he has narcolepsy, and by doing so, his arm and leg (and tail) and his child's, Akito, arm. Give me one reason why I shouldn't sue this school, you, have you arrested for criminal child negligence that resulted in serious injuries of two minors."

The woman was struck speechless as was the scum across from him.

Akihito - "Leave the poor lady be. So the got burned a little bit, so what? Trauma builds character!"

Egyn snapped the table in half and plunged his hand into the man's stomach. HE slowly retracted his arm to allow the blood to seep out on the floor and table. He held a chuck of his stomach and a bit of his small intestine. The man couldn't even scream. Egyn towered over him emitting the aura of something much older, more powerful, and more dangerous that anything human.

Mephisto - "As I was saying -"

The man jolted and his hands flew to his still intact stomach. Egyn's eyes were trained on his own.

Egyn - "Unless this woman is at list fired and blacklisted, I will sue this school into the ground."

Mephisto - "Would this be acceptable for you as well Yukimura?"

Egyn laid his hands on the table. There was a barely discernible red tiny to his right hand and a red crust underneath his right hand's fingernails. He flexed his hand and sent cold sweats down his back.

Akihito - "Right! Yes! Do that!"

Mephisto - "Very well. Oda, you can collect your final check after you clean out his desk and office space."

The woman ran out of the room crying. Akihito left quickly after, constantly looking over his shoulder at Egyn.

Mephisto - "Brother, was that really necessary?"

Egyn dropped his glamors and sat on a floating water bubble.

Egyn - "If I had it my way, I'd feed them both Gehennian food and throw them to be devoured on the Isle of Rot. Or the dragons on Iblis's continent. Maybe hunted by Bee's pets."

Mephisto - "Brother, I understand your rage, however he will not forget that slip of yours. Be grateful I was able to reverse it in time. Any later, he might've believed it really happened. As of this moment, he thinks he imagined it."

Egyn - "Disgusting human filth. Oh, Samael, Rin is hosting dinner. Please bring yourself to our's later."

Mephisto - "Ooo, consider me excited! I'll bring -"

Egyn - "Nothing. Rin would be insulted. He planned the whole menus and catered to the many different cultures that will be with us. So you will bring yourself and nothing else."

Mephisto - "Very well."
