No POV

Logan is on the computer in his room, scrolling through News sites about what's happening in Glass. Or what happened before he lost his memories. He sees some parts that have details about Cascadia's relationship with the rest of the world. Logan looks at one involving how the competition between Monarch Solutions and a company called the Amaterasu Corporation has been halted for the last two years due to the isolation of the latter's city. It also talks about the Unified Government trying to negotiate with Cascadia to have more of a presence there.

Logan: Wow, a lot's happening. Then again, the vampires I face and my dreams are signs that nothing will be dull. And not all of it in a good way.

Soon Logan hears a door open and looks to see that it's Chiyo.

Chiyo: Logan, you okay?

Logan: Yeah. I just wanted to know what was going on in the world. The only three places I remember going to are this penthouse, the school, and that old hospital that you and Hinata found me in.

Chiyo: Oh yeah. Well how about we fix that?

Logan: How?

Chiyo gets closer to Logan and holds his hands.

Chiyo: By showing you around Glass. I can re-show you the place where we watched our favorite movies. Oh, and we can go by our favorite fast-food restaurant. Oh, and we can even go to that large Ferris Wheel. Not particular a fan of tall heights, but that view is so nice.

Logan thinks for a second before looking at the pictures of him and his family. A desire to regain his memories fills his mind.

Logan: Okay. Let's do it.

Chiyo: Yay! Let's go right now.

Logan: Lead the way. I will protect you though.

Chiyo: Hey, I'll be fine. Besides, it's still the morning.

Logan: Should we tell Dad?

Chiyo: He'll be okay with it.

Chiyo pulls Logan arm, but doesn't get far. However, he lets her lead the way while she's still holding his hand. The two take the elevator, but instead of going to the garage like usual, they go to the main lobby. Logan looks around and see the highly decorated interior complete with screens displaying ads from Monarch and many statues. The siblings leave the building and begin their walk through Glass. The futuristic buildings and architecture keeps amazing Logan as the city looks to bright and peaceful.

Logan: I still can't get over the sight of this city.

Chiyo: Tell me about it. Your dad's company really likes to go all out.

Logan: 'My dad? Doesn't she mean "our dad"? Wait, she said our family isn't a traditional one. still don't know what she means, but I guess I should just go with it'.

They get to a Zephyr station and wait for the train to arrive. Once it does, the siblings get on it with the other passengers and it moves. The screens in the train plays all sorts of things such as the News or some shows. Chiyo then watches one screen and Logan sees that it's one that's showing a romance anime.

Logan: What's the show called?

Chiyo: The name is "My Love, Our Heart". It's the season that Sayuri is starting to hang out with Naoto. I've been watching for years and I can't wait for them to confess their love for each other.

Logan: This is another side of you that I've experienced.

Chiyo: What do you mean by that? Oh right, you don't remember. Sorry.

Logan: No. I'm sorry, I feel like an idiot for losing my memories.

Chiyo: Hey, don't be sorry. Hinata would say the same thing.

Someone ends up bumping into us and we see that it's Hinata.

Hinata: Ow. Oh, hello again.

Logan: Speak of the devil. What are you doing on this Zephyr train?

Hinata: My dad. Let me tell you, he sucks. I won't get into detail yet, but let's just say he gives his pet the treatment that I should be getting.

Logan and Chiyo look at her in concern and confusion.

Hinata: Long story. But let's just say, I'd glad to see you guys again because I can get some time away from my dad. So where you guys heading?

Something growls and they look at Logan, who has an embarrassed look on his face.

Logan: Sorry.

Chiyo: How about some MgRonald's?

The Zephyr train arrives at it's next stop and the three get off before walking to the exit. They leave and continue walking down a path a path Chiyo knows about. After a few minutes, they arrive at a restaurant called "MgRonald's".

Hinata: Huh, first time I've been to a MgRonald's outside of Japan.

Logan: We went here?

Chiyo: Yep. Your favorite order was a Big Mig meal with no onions and black pepper fries. But I'll understand if that isn't your favorite anymore.

Logan: No I'll eat it.

Hinata: Let me order. Swiped some from my dad. Not like he'll care, and the food here is cheap.

The three go inside and Hinata orders for them. They go to a booth and wait for the food to be ready. Logan scrolls through his Focus and the reviews for MgRonald's appear. Hinata catches Logan's and hand gently puts it down on the table.

Hinata: Maybe take a little break from the Focus and screens in general for a bit.

Logan: Sorry, just going through the pictures I have of me. Other than Chiyo and Dad, they're my only way of remembering what I was before I got amnesia.

Hinata: I get wanting to regain your memories, but I don't think that you need to be obsessed with it.

Chiyo: Yeah.

Logan: Maybe you're right.

Hinata: Hey, what are friends and family for?

An Employee says that their food is done and Logan goes to grab a tray holding their food. He brings it to the booth and everyone enjoys their food. Chiyo the pulls out a camera and takes a picture of the three of them.

Logan: That's a nice camera Chiyo.

Hinata: Yeah. Although it might be considered an antique in Cascadia. But then again, the technology level pretty much exploded to immense heights.

Chiyo: Oh, speaking of heights, I told Logan that I'd take him to the Ferris Wheel by the docks of Glass.

Hinata: Oh, the Circle of Glass. I heard about that. I'm interested in trying it out.

Logan: You okay with the fact that you've been kinda stuck with us for the last few days?

Hinata: Of course not. You guys are pretty good people. Well, let's head to that wheel.

Logan walks out of MgRonald's with Chiyo and Hinata so they can head to the Ferris wheel they were discussing about. Soon they go to a spot on the street where people can request a self-driving car. Hinata then uses her Focus to order one and after a few minutes, an automated car arrives. The three get inside and the car starts driving. Logan gets a message from Kira on his focus.

Dad

Logan is Chiyo with you?

Logan

Yes, dad.

Dad

Where did you both go?

Logan

She wanted to take me to places we've been. We stopped by MgRonald's for lunch.

Dad

Okay. That place does serve pretty good pepper fries. Where are you heading now?

Logan

The Circle of Glass

Dad

Gotcha. Well, be home before it gets dark. I worry about you and your sister after you disappeared. And I don't want to worry your mom.

Logan

I wanted to ask, she calls you "My" dad. Why?

Dad

It's complicated, but I will tell you. Eventually. Just stay safe.

The message ends and I deactivate my Focus.

Chiyo: Was that Kira?

Logan: Yeah. He knew we were gone and wanted us to be back before it gets dark.

Chiyo: I guess we'll be cutting our trip short.

Hinata: Hey, I just needed some time away from my hotel room.

Logan: I don't mean to be a rear end, but could you give it a break?

Hinata: Yeah, I really do sound like a broken record. Yeah, I'll get of you guys. Well, looks like we're almost there.

Chiyo points out the window and Logan sees a large Ferris Wheel that is turning near Glass' bay. The car stops near the Ferris wheel and the three get out of it. They go to the booth and pay for their turn to ride on the wheel when the next passenger car comes to the ground. Logan then looks at the bay and sees how vast it looks.

Hinata: Logan, you okay?

Logan: Yeah. Just wondering what's really out there. Beyond this city.

Hinata: I can guarantee you that there is a lot more in the world. But not all of it is nice.

Logan: What do you mean?

Hinata: Wars, division, social classes, poverty, fighting over resources. And these powerful vampires that have the power to dominate everything in sight. Governments try to keep people within cities so they can be safe from external threats. But humans do suck.

Logan: I'd still like to see it.

Hinata: Well, then I can give you a tour of my old stomping ground should we go there. Also Chiyo too since she's from Japan as well. Granted, we've mostly been in Tokyo, but--

Logan: I'll still take you up on that. Thank you.

Logan and Hinata smile before Chiyo takes a picture of them.

Chiyo: Gotcha.

Hinata: Chiyo, next time give us a heads up.

Logan: At least when you use a camera that flashes..

Chiyo: Sorry. Oh, our passenger car is here.

The three go to the passenger car and enter before the Ferris Wheel starts moving. The passenger car goes up and they see another vast view of both the city and the bay.

Hinata: That's one nice thing about Glass. The views are just hard to top off.

Logan: Is it weird that after losing my memory, I feel like I was born all over again?

Hinata: Well why wouldn't you? It's the first time you recall being aware?

Logan: Okay, now I'm starting to sound like a broken record talking about my memory loss.

Chiyo: Don't worry, Logan. I'm sure you'll get them back. I am kinda bummed that we have to cut this trip a little early. There were so many places I wanted to show you again.

Logan: We can go another day. Besides, it seems like Dad is concerned about us

Chiyo nods as the Ferris wheel begins to descend. Chiyo then pulls out her camera and takes a picture of the three of them. Logan and Hinata just smile and shake their heads as Chiyo takes another picture without telling them.

Chiyo: I promise I'll give you a heads up next time.

The Ferris wheel then comes down and the three get off it. A limo arrives and opens its doors.

Hinata: You guys get in. I'll call my own ride.

Logan: You sure?

Hinata: Yeah, I still got money.

Logan: Okay. Stay safe Hinata.

Chiyo: See you later.

Hinata: You both as well.

Logan and Chiyo get into the Limo and the doors close before it drives away. Logan puts his hand on a seats arm rest and thinks about everything he's done.

Chiyo: Brother, are you okay?

Logan: Yeah. Just thinking of how amazing this day has been.

Chiyo then puts her hand on Logan's and holds it.

Chiyo: Hey, this is only the beginning. We can explore around Glass some more when we're not busy with school. And when we get Kira's permission.

Logan: Sure thing Chiyo. I'm really happy to have a sister like you.

Chiyo: Aw. I'm really happy to have a brother like you.

The Limo arrive at the apartment and get in the elevator heading up to the penthouse. They go to the living room and sit on the couch to watch TV.  Chiyo's favorite anime plays and she is a little giddy at it.

Logan: So can you tell me more about this?

Chiyo: Yeah, Sayuri and Naoto met when they first ran into each other on their way to school. Then they began hanging out and love blossoms between them. It's beautiful.

Logan: I bet. Chiyo.

Chiyo: Yes.

Logan: I don't mean to ruin our day, but I'm afraid that we're going to have to get involved with the supernatural sooner or later. And I don't think that all of them will be nice.

Chiyo: Yeah, that's been on my mind as well. But don't worry Logan. Whatever comes our way, I know we can take them on together.

Logan smiles.

Logan: Yeah. Thanks Chiyo.

Chiyo hugs Logan and he hugs her back.
