Chapter 33: FUN (Edited)

The kids were sitting on the table while blurting out questions to Kristoff. Kristoff ruffled his hair in frustration. “You guys, calm down,” said Kristoff.  “She didn’t say no, she said she’ll think about it.”

Jack pushed open the two doors; all the kids turned and looked at him. “Hey guys! We got a not happy rocker on our hands,” he said and Kristoff raised an eyebrow. “So I got a proposition for you guys. Think you’re up for it?” All the junior rockers looked at each other and back at Jack; they smiled and nodded their heads.

At the stage

“Okay, we got a ton of stuff to go over,” said Elsa, walking to the stage with Punzel.

Elsa and Punzel looked around. Not too many rockers were there. “Where is everybody?” asked Punzel. “Seriously, people have got to start being on time.”

Some rockers and all the junior rockers came with buckets of water balloons and water guns. “Attack!” exclaimed Flynn and Jack. The rockers that were sitting down stood up. Waters were sprayed everywhere. Kids shot their water guns along with everybody else. Flynn shot the big water gun at Punzel and Anna, who were standing at the left. Jack took the big balloon that was full with water and threw it at Elsa.
Elsa jumped down the stage and took four water balloons and chased Jack. Everyone were throwing and fighting with water. Hiro took the hose and sprayed it at everyone.

Ally and North came down the steps. “Huh this was not on the schedule,” said Ally with a shocked look.

“You kidding?” said North. “This is what summer camp is all about.” North ran down and took some water balloons and shot it at the others.

Punzel griped her clipboard with a disappointed look and walked away.

It lasted to the whole afternoon. Everyone had chased North until he fell down the lake along with the others.

Everyone were gathered around the fire. Some were telling jokes on the other side while some just stayed quiet.

“Today was so fun!” said Jamie.

“Yeah,” said Merida.

“I wish it could be like that for the rest of the summer,” said Anna.

“Hey,” said Flynn coming to them. “Have you guys seen Punzel?”

“Huh no, she skipped dinner,” said Merida, looking up at him.

“Oh…okay,” Flynn left them and went somewhere.

“I wonder where she is,” said Kristoff.

“And also Elsa,” said Jack, turning around, trying to see if Elsa was there.

“She’s in the lunch hall,” informed Anna.

Jack nodded and stood up.
He came in the lunch hall and saw Elsa sitting on the table. “What are you doing?” asked Jack, walking towards her.

“Jack, I still can’t believe you did that?” said Elsa.

“Did what?” asked Jack. “You mean the water fight?”

“Yes.”

“Everyone needed that. Everyone needed to have some fun!”

“Yeah but did you think about how Punzel would feel? We’re making her think like she’s doing all the work.”

“Why is she even doing this?” asked Jack, getting annoyed. “She’s bossing everyone around, she won’t let us have a single free time and have fun; isn’t what this summer camp is all about?”

“You’re right! But this camp is at stake here; she’s doing all this out of guilt, she thinks that this is all her fault.” Jack was left speechless; he didn’t know what to say. Elsa let out a sigh. “Jack, we need to help her. And when we do, she’ll maybe see things our way.”

“Fine,” said Jack. “I’ll talk to the guys and we’ll make it up to her.”

“Thank you,” said Elsa, smiling.

“But for now,” said Jack, smirking. “Let’s go hang out.”

“Where?” asked Elsa with a raised eyebrow.

“Where everyone is, of course,” said Jack, shrugging.

“Oh,” Elsa’s face fell.

“Or do you want us to hang out somewhere else?”

“Nope, out there is fine,” said Elsa.

“Are you sure?” asked Jack, smirking at her. “Just say the word and I’ll sweep you off your feet!”

“Huh that won’t be necessary,” said Elsa smiling.

Meanwhile, Punzel was in a room. She played the piano and wrote some words on the paper. She heard the door open and saw Flynn walking in with a flashlight and a basket.

“There you are,” he said.

“Have you come to help me rewrite the song?” asked Punzel, looking at him.

“No,” said Flynn.

“No? Why?” Punzel raised an eyebrow.

“Because you and I are going on a moonlight picnic,” said Flynn, putting the basket up on the piano.

“Now?” asked Punzel, staring at him in disbelief.

“Right now,” said Flynn, nodding.

“How could you-“

“Because I’m not nice of a guy,” said Flynn, interrupting her.

“-think that I would just go running off.”

“You’re saying no?”

“Do you not understand that everything needs to get done?”

“How can I not when you keep reminding me every two seconds.”

“And the water balloon fights I mean what were you thinking?”

“I was thinking, ‘wow! Wouldn't it be great to have little fun?”

“So you’re saying I’m no fun.”

“Why do I even keep trying? The whole reason I came was to-“

“I know, was to get to know me better. Well guess what? This is me trying to save something that I care about.”

“So am I."

“Really and how’s that working out for you?”

“Not so great.” Flynn grabbed the basket and turned around.

“Flynn,” said Punzel, stopping him. “You forgot your flashlight.” He came back and took it. He gave Punzel a disapproving look and went out.

Punzel sighed. She looked back at the paper and started to write. A single tear fell from her eyes.

The next morning, Punzel woke up from her sleep to see that everyone was gone. She got up from her bed. “Where is everybody?”

She opened the door and went out. She looked around but no one was there. She went to where the stage was and was surprised to see that everyone was there. She walked down. Everyone had a piece of music paper. They were all so focused. Elsa was talking to some of them about the music, when she saw Punzel, she stopped and smiled. “Good morning.”

“Huh morning,” said Punzel, still surprised. She wondered if she was still dreaming.

Merida was with a group of people on the stage; she was teaching them some dance moves. She saw Punzel and told her dancers to wait.

“What’s going on?” asked Punzel.

Anna turned to her. “You were right. It shouldn’t be all up to you!”

Merida sat down on the stage. “Flynn and Jack got everybody up before dawn.”

Flynn came down the stage. “Morning,” he said to Punzel. “Sleep well?” he gave Punzel a cup of coffee. He handed Punzel the lyrics papers.

“You did this?” Punzel asked astonished.

“We all did,” said Flynn. Everyone nodded.

“I already know I’m gonna love it,” said Punzel. She smiled at Flynn. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome,” said Flynn. He turned around and went up the stage.

“Alright let’s get started,” said Jack, stepping up on the stage. “We gotta rock this stage like we own it, right?” Hiccup and the boys nodded. “Now I can hear you, but I gotta see you play! Hiccup, saw them how it’s done.”

“Like this.” Hiccup banged the drums.

“Excellent,” said Jack.  “Kristoff saw them how to rock.”

“Okay guys, not like this, more like this.” Kristoff played the electric guitar. The three junior rockers followed him. “Good job.”

“Well it's easy for you guys but we’re not all rock stars,” said Elsa smiling.

“But you can be,” said Jack, smiling back. Everyone cheered while Elsa went down the stage.

Hiccup began playing the drums while Kristoff played the electric guitar. Jack threw the microphone to Flynn and took a electric guitar and started playing. Flynn stood in front and began singing.

After they finished, everyone clapped. Punzel ran up and hugged Flynn while the crowed cheered. Jack looked at Elsa and she gave him a thumps up. Yep, their plan worked.
