Chapter 12
I pull away from Louis, "Look, Louis, I really want you to stay and all, but you should go back." Louis frowns down at me.
"I don't want to, but you have a point," He sighs. He pushes back my hair with one hand and places the other on my cheek. I could feel myself starting to blush with his pressed against my face. "Have a good night," He says, as he leans down and kisses my forehead. I smile, whispering a faint, 'have a good night,' back.
As soon as the door shuts I sigh loudly and go towards my bed. I wished I could just have Louis to myself. Why must it have been Gemma? I was thankful that I got to live in the palace and everything, but I hate to come in between their relationship.
I flop on my bed and pull the blankets up to my face, thoughts of Louis floating through my mind as I slowly drift off to sleep.

When I wake up the birds are chirping and the sun is shinning in from the windows. I sit up and run a hand through my messy curls. I yawn as I flop back onto the bed. Why did mornings have to exist? Why couldn't I just sleep forever? My mind wonders to last night and I find myself trying to contain a smile.
I sit up and crawl out of bed, standing as I make my way towards the dresser. I pull out a random shirt and a pair of trousers, putting it on before I leave my bedroom.
I walk to the first floor and notice the clock on one of the walls, but before I could read the time my thoughts are interrupted by a voice.
"Excuse me...Harry?" I turn and cringe as I see a familiar face. A girl stood in between two guards. The girl had wavy brown hair and dark brown eyes. Her face was a smooth brown and had eyebrows that arched high and demanding.
"Leigh-Anne?" I question. The girl smiles at me and waves.
"We found her snooping outside the grounds," The guard informs me.
"Do you know her?" The other asks.
"Yeah, I know her. Leigh-Anne what are you doing here?" I hiss. The guards let her go and she stands, dusting off her shirt as she stands.
"I came here to check up on Niall and Liam in jail. I was about to get in if it weren't for these two bone heads," She says pointing to the guards.
"I'll lead you down," I suggest.
"Are you sure about that Harry?" One of the guards asks. I was shocked that the guards knew my name the first time I had heard them say it, but Louis reassured me and told me that they knew the names of most of the people that lived there.
"I insist," I say, smirking at Leigh-Anne.
Leigh-Anne was Niall and Liam's best friend growing up. She was always a kind person so I never really understood why she hung out with them. Whenever Leigh-Anne was over Niall and Liam weren't as mean as they were when it was just us family. Niall and Liam always teased the girl for liking me, but I wasn't too sure about it myself.
"So, how's life?" Leigh-Anne asks. I look at my hands as I lead her down a corridor, to the dungeons.
"Good, I mean I'm living in a castle, I don't have to live with Stepmother or the boys anymore. I'm basically royalty," I sigh. Leigh-Anne nods, and we walk in awkward silence. Of course the one thing I wanted to talk about, I couldn't. I mean who could say that they were dating the King?
"So, Harry, can we talk?" Leigh-Anne asks, stopping in front of me. I nod and she takes a breath, looking at her shoes.
"If you haven't guessed already, I didn't come here to say hi to your brother," She starts. I had a feeling I knew where this was heading.
"I wanted to tell you that I...," A high-pitched voice coming towards me cuts him off.
"Harry! Thank goodness you're safe! The guards we're tell me that a girl had came and you had...who is she?" He asks as he finally stops looking at me and sees Leigh-Anne. She gives Louis a little wave, while Louis glares daggers.
"Has she hurt you? Harry tell me the truth," Louis commands. He pulls me away from Leigh-Anne and looks me over for cuts or bruises.
"I'm fine!" He breathes a sigh of relief and pulls me into a hug, forgetting all about Leigh-Anne. "Look, I was just taking Leigh-Anne down to see Niall and Liam in the dungeons, nothing too exciting," I tell him.
"No, absolutely not. I will have a guard take her down. You're coming with me, I don't trust you alone with...her." Louis snarls, looking over my shoulder at Leigh-Anne.
"You know She has a name right? It's Leigh-Anne, want an autograph?" Leigh-Anne snaps, looking at Louis, as she crosses her arms over her chest.
"Don't you dare sass me in my own castle!" Louis rolls his eyes at Leigh-Anne before turning to me and smiling.
"I will see you tonight Love," He says. He kisses my cheek and leaves, glaring at Leigh-Anne one last time.
"Are you guys dating?" Leigh-Anne questions.
"Doesn't matter," I sigh in defeat. "He's married."
"He has a nice butt," Leigh-Anne points out. Yeah, but it's mine, so don't touch. I wanted to add, but I didn't.
"Back to the topic what were you about to say, before Louis came?"
"That I've always had a crush on...on...," She looks down at her feet and mutters a word that I don't understand.
"Who?" I ask, this time a little louder. She stays quiet again, still keeping her gaze pointed at her before finally looking up at me.
"Niall."
