"Kirstin! I have three people that have been waiting for their orders! Move faster or you're fired!" Her boss, Jack, exclaimed

Kirstie ran over to the kitchen, grabbing the three trays and rushing to each table, getting a complaint from each person.

"You suck at this!"

"My mommy doesn't like you!"

"Just get fired already!"

Kirstie sighed and picked up her money, happy that it's the end of the day.

Kathy ran over to Kirstie and squealed "THE PRINCE IS STAYING AT MY HOUSE!" She exclaimed.

Kirstie giggled "That's nice but why should J care? He's marrying YOU not me" she asked frowning soon after

Kathy shook her head "Sorry! I just can't wait! Maybe he will talk to you before our girls' night!" She squealed once again

Kirstie giggled once again "Okay. Is the ball still on for tomorrow?" She asked "Because I kinda sorta don't have a costume."

Kathy smiled like an idiot "Well then, you're coming over early tomorrow! I have the PERFECT outfit for you" Kathy exclaimed

Kirstie nodded. "Well, I better be heading home. It's getting dark."

Kathy nodded. "See you tomorrow! Three pm sharp!"

Kirstie ran off to her apartment that was covered in dirt, cobwebs, cockroaches, the tiny kitchen, and her rickety bed in her bedroom. She looked at her picture in her room. her mother, father and two brothers who died in the car crash, smiled at her through the picture. Kirstie teared up and put her thumb to her parents faces "I'm almost there momma" she whispered, crying herself to sleep

He faked a smile as he walked over to Kathy "M'lady," he said, kissing her hand.

Kathy smiled. "Why hello there. I just came to say hello and show where your room is. I don't have much time to hang out because my friend is coming over for tonight's ball," she informed him.

Avi nodded and followed her to his bedroom "So..... Who is your friend?" He asked curiously.

Kathy smiled. "Kirstie is so sweet! We have been best friends since birth and we never have left each other alone for more than two days. She works two shifts just to afford her dream place. She dreams of having a place where you can sing, drink coffee, and make friends with people who like the same music as you!" She gushed.

Avi chuckled "Nice. Well, I can't wait to meet her!" He exclaimed pushing her through the door and closing it.
