Chapter 11: An Act of True Love Part 1: To Protect What's Important

(I honestly think that one of the reasons I have a love/hate relationship with England/Arthur is that I relate to him a lot with his relationships with his brothers, friends, and France. He and I are pretty headstrong and stubborn. We tend to cause problems, have trouble with anxieties, and get upset pretty easily. In a way, this chapter this is what I believe I deserve along with England/Arthur. Enjoy!)

"Are you sure you don't want to tell tes frères?" Francis asked in a whisper as both were at Francis's hideout.

Both were looking from the windows as Arthur used his magic to ensure of a path for them to take.

Arthur countered in a knowing tone before it fell to a somber one, "And you didn't bring your little sister. No, this is my fault. If I had stopped him before he drowned me, then this wouldn't have happened"

Francis shook his head to take Arthur's free hand to give the back of it a calm kiss to soothe him.

"Mon amour, that is not your fault at all" Francis reassured him in a soothing manner, "None of us knew why that ring took a good friend of mine, but you cannot put the blame on yourself, d'accord?"

Arthur sighed as he leaned against his partner and only nodded his head. He sighed as he tried to calm himself down, but if he could stop the ring and ensure of everyone's safety, he would take it. He looked at his hand and noticed a path and stared at it. Francis looked at it too and knew there was no way to stop his prince now.

"Follow me and stay close" Arthur advised as he gripped Francis's hand tightly.

"Mon amour, you couldn't keep me away even if you tried" the baker teased as he snickered at the flushing expression the prince gave him.

Together, they left the hideout and found the chaos had slowly died down. They were grateful their friends and family were able to help the people and take out most of the vines. The destruction and fighting were slowly wearing away, but it wouldn't stop until they found that blasted ring on Antonio's finger removed. Both ran through the destroyed marketplace and found it completely in ruins with less and less vines present.

"Thank goodness everyone was able to escape" Francis whispered in utter relief as Arthur carefully picked up a rock and threw it into the plaza to see if a vine would grow.

Nothing happened, so they ran through it and followed the magic trail to the palace. Their trail lead them to the gardens that were overgrown with numerous vines, tomatoes, and olives growing!

"Mon dieu! How horrible! At least prune this!" Francis commented as he tried to see the bright side of their situation.

He turned to Arthur who was staring at the overgrown fields with disbelief. The Emerald Gardens were ruined with so many vines and other plant life. It broke his heart to see the wonderful gardens he grew up with ruined when he had so many precious memories he made and to make in the future.

Francis gripped Arthur's hand again to give a comforting squeeze before holding a small smile.

"Mon amour, please calm down" Francis spoke softly, "I know it is not easy, but we can fix this when we meet with Antonio and take the ring off him. Will you be able to hold on until then?"

Arthur returned his grip to his partner before nodding his head slowly.

"Right, thank you, Francis" Arthur said slowly and in a quiet tone, "At least we know where to start. Are you ready?"

Pulling Arthur after him, they entered the gardens and found themselves climbing over the vines and avoiding the tomatoes and olives. It wasn't hard, but it wasn't easy either. Francis was getting more annoyed with climbing over the vines while Arthur didn't find it so difficult.

"Zut alors!" Francis complained as he climbed down another vine with Arthur snickering at his reaction, "I cannot take this anymore. Allow me to clear out the vines in one strike!"

"Oh?" Arthur asked intrigued with a snicker leaving his mouth, "And how do you plan to do that? I thought you handled the heavy lifting in your bakery?"

Francis huffed as he held himself up and drew his rapier to reply, "That is why I hired Yao. I wanted him to handle that. It is too much for my physique. Now, stand behind me!"

Arthur only shrugged and waited as he stood behind the baker who held his rapier in front of his face. He seemed to hold a peaceful expression before opening his eyes as water seemed to gather around the rapier in question. Extending the blade to hold in front of him, he drew it back to then swinging it with all his might to slice in a horizontal manner to cut the vines and any plant life down in front of them in half!

Arthur felt his breath being taken away as Francis lowered the rapier to turn around and remind as he tapped the prince's nose, "Did you forget? I traveled and worked with Gilbert and Antonio! We had gotten ourselves into fights and scarps before! I know how to handle myself and them!"

Shaking his head, Arthur took Francis's hand and holding a gentle smile at his partner to give their hands a light kiss.

"Well, that is something we can hopefully use as a last resort. I know how dear of a friend he is to you. With that in mind, I will not harm him if I can help it" Arthur promised as Francis only smiled in relief.

Francis rested his head against Arthur's to share a laugh until they felt the ground shake violently. Both held onto each other before the vines retracted to let the tomatoes and olives fall from it! Arthur quickly stepped in front of Francis to cast his lightning to strike the falling tomatoes and olives away.

"I hope you like tomatoes because your friend sure does! I don't even understand the olives!" Arthur shouted as he threw another bolt of lightning towards an incoming tomato.

Francis stood behind the prince to cut the roots and vines of those falling tomatoes and olives to reply, "It was for his farm! He had to make a living before becoming a knight and João creating a trading network! I don't mind the taste, but I would never straight up drink cold olive oil as a beverage!"

Arthur was befuddled with that one as he turned to check on his partner before seeing a tomato falling towards him!

"Francis, duck!" Arthur shouted as he threw another lightning bolt to break the tomato and to be covered in the juices, "Well, that's unpleasant"

Francis tapped Arthur's head with the blunt side of the rapier to have water completely douse him! He let out a screech at the rush of cold water only to realize that his partner had completely washed the tomato juices off him.

"Yes, well, thank you" Arthur commented as he blushed almost as red as the tomatoes before pulling his baker along to a gazebo in the garden to collect themselves, "We should be able to reach the interior of the palace soon. From there, we should check the center of it first before anywhere else in the palace"

Francis only nodded as Arthur shivered a bit from the cold and embraced him to give him some warmth. Arthur flushed before pushing Francis away who only laughed in reply. Arthur found himself laughing as well as both were unaware that the ring was sitting in the grand tree and observing them.

"Interesante" the ring spoke with a snicker, "Those two are working well together. Almost too well. Hm, don't you have feelings about this as well Antonio. Weren't you worried for your best friend falling for such a cheater? Not only that! He's cheating on that princess you love so much! How do you feel about that?"

The ring did not receive a reply for it knew that it would not receive one from the Duke of Diamonds at all. It stood up with the axe behind it before jumping and sliding across the vine to then raising the axe to take a swing at the gazebo! Arthur reacted first by pushing Francis out and creating a shield of lightning to protect himself from the coming strike. The prince fell with his hands up and when the dust settled, he found himself face-to-face with the possessed duke's axe.

"You're not Antonio, are you?" Arthur asked in a knowing tone as he held himself against the ring.

"No, but I do have his thoughts and memories" the ring admitted as he it put more pressure on the axe to slowly break through the shield of lightning, "You've made the duke envious and mad. It is fascinating to see really. Muy interesante!"

Arthur noticed the cracks forming on his shield and tried to think of either a possible escape or counter to the ring. Francis was in daze, but he quickly recalled Arthur being the one who pushed him out of harms way. The baker picked himself up and found the prince on the ground with his shield cracking! Wasting no time, the baker drew his rapier and swung it to have a wave of water whip at the possessed duke.

"Oh? Are you there? I didn't see you" the ring taunted as it sensed an incoming strike from behind and summoned a wall of vines to protect him, "But did you really believe you could stop me with that feeble attempt? Por favor! That will not due at all!"

Francis had a feeling that the ring would be powerful enough to stop his strikes, but he continued to wave the rapier to deliver strike after strike to ensure the ring focused its attention on him. Arthur realized this as well as he slowly and quietly gathered magic to his hands to wait for the right moment to retaliate. Francis took steps back and made sure to keep distance between himself and the ring. The ring only raised wall of vines to counter the effortlessly strokes of water.

"Honestly, what do you hope to accomplish with this?" the ring asked in a taunt as it continued to swing the axe towards the baker, "Nothing! Nada! Prepare to meet your end!"

The ring spun the axe to keep summoning vines to strike the water until the ring was moving in a much quicker pace to be in front of the baker with the axe above the ring's head! The baker was stunned as the ring slammed the axe against the rapier to knock it out of the baker's hands!

"Time to die!" the ring stated with pride as it took another swing only for Arthur to stand up with lightning crackling in his hands.

Arthur threw the bolt of lightning to strike the ring's back to paralyze it! The ring cried out in pain and fell to its knees with Arthur running towards them with another bolt of lightning forming in his hands.

"Hands off my frog, you wanker!" Arthur yelled before throwing another bolt to strike the ring.

He continued his spells to make sure the ring focused on him. Francis used the time to grab his rapier and take cover. He observed their fight and searched for the ring on his friend's finger. The baker sighed in relief to see it and carefully focused the ring as he took quiet steps behind him.

"I haven't seen this magic in years! Ah, you're her offspring, aren't you? I knew she had children, but to give her lightning to you of all is fascinating" the ring spoke in a dark offering tone as Arthur ceased his spells.

"You know my mother?" the prince asked in disbelief as the ring lunged with his axe in its hands.

"Si, in fact, I will send you to tu madre, right now!" the ring offered before taking a swing back with a dark gleam as Arthur held his breath at the malicious sight.

Francis slammed his rapier on the ground quickly and poured water to wash over their feet to cause both to slip! The ring dropped the axe as Arthur fell into Francis's arms who ran away from the ring to hide in another corner of the garden.

"Arthur are you ok? What happened?" Francis asked as he gently placed the prince on the ground and held his shoulders to rub in a soothing manner.

Arthur was shaken before staring at the baker to calm himself down. He held Francis's arms and rubbed it to calm himself down.

"That ring was trying to get into my head, but it knew my mother" Arthur answered in a nervous tone as Francis understood his fears.

"Let's get out of here and get back to our friends and family" Francis decided as he held the prince's hands, "We need to rethink this before it gets out of hand. Is that ok?"

Arthur could only nod his head until a vine nearly struck them! Both embraced each other as Francis gathered water to push them away from another vine. Together, they ran in the opposite direction and avoided the vines only for one to approach Arthur! He was still fazed and didn't think to counter the coming vine.

"ARTHUR!" Francis shouted before using his water to push Arthur out of the gardens and letting the vines wrap around the baker's waist!

The prince was stunned as he reached for Francis's hand only for the baker to pull his hand back and let himself be taken from the prince. Arthur fell into a few bushes with a few strings of curses before sitting up and finding himself staring at the vine pulling his baker away!

"FRANCIS!" Arthur yelled in despairing tone before tumbling out of the bushes and struggling to pick himself up.

He prepared to run after the baker only for Duncan to lunge and hold him back!

"No, let me go! That bastard has him!" Arthur yelled as he struggled in his oldest brother's grip before crying out in frustration, "He took Francis!"

Duncan was stunned as Arthur finally surrendered into his embrace and cried against him. The oldest prince embraced the youngest as tightly as he could while staring at the palace, thanking and wondering what had befallen the baker.

"Woah! This is a tight squeeze, but I am taken" Francis commented as he was pulled and suspended in front of the ring.

The ring raised a brow before staring at the baker with a curious expression until it realized the grave danger it was truly in.

"That foolish, delusional prince will come for you, won't he?" the ring asked in a knowing tone as Francis realized the implication of his words and felt fear in his blood.

His prince was in danger! The vine tightened around the baker who whimpered in pain as the ring was prepared to end Francis's life right there only for the body and element to protest!

"Qué?!" the ring exclaimed as it struggled to even be in control of itself and noticed that the duke was still present, "You resist me!"

Francis stared at the ring and noticed the struggle to realize that his best friend was still present! He was still resisting the ring!

"Antonio!" Francis shouted as he realized he could breathe, "Don't give up! We are here! Gilbert! João! Clarisse! Laura!"

He hoped if he shouted their names that would be enough to reach the duke. The ring could feel it lose control over the duke and understood that it could not kill his friend. Instead, another wicked idea formed in its mind and took control once the duke realized his friend wouldn't be harmed.

"Very well" the ring spoke in an understanding tone, "If you don't wish to be harmed, then I shall harm another instead. Yes, your prince will come for you, baker!"

Francis knew that much, but he also knew that Arthur wouldn't be a fool either. There was no way he would come along or without a plan. The vines tugged and pulled Francis after the retreating ring who walked and skipped about inside the palace until it stopped at the grand throne room.

"Ah, si, this will do nicely" the ring spoke as it flicked the wrist to have the vines pull and hold Francis near the throne before it took a seat in the largest one and relaxed.

After all, the ring only had to wait for the prince to come for his baker. He would be driven made with worry and concern over the well-being of the baker. This would make the prince come to it so easily, so the ring would gladly wait for the prince to arrive at the trap.

At the border of Spade and Diamond, Duncan and Arthur returned to find Sean, Dylan, Liam, Clarisse, Vlad, and Lukas with Princess Laura and João. They were caring for the people, healing anyone who was hurt, and looking out for each other until they noticed the despairing expression Arthur held.

"What happened now?" Sean asked as Dylan rushed over to them, preparing to heal them if they were hurt.

Dylan checked on Arthur and noticed his tears with Duncan answering, "The ring took Francis and is holding him in the palace"

Sean stood up first and shook his head, "No, that's a trap. He's not going there"

"And what do you propose we do then?" Clarisse snapped as she stood right in front of him, "C'est mon grand frère! I refuse to leave him there alone!"

Liam tried to calm his big brother and Clarisse before they start arguing with each other as Vlad and Lukas helped Arthur sit down. They did their best to console him, but even they wouldn't let the prince go alone.

"We need to rest and then figure out a plan to save him" Dylan stated strongly, "There has to be something we can do!"

Duncan waited patiently as he stared at Arthur, expecting him to do something about it.

"Are you really going to sit there and do nothing?" Duncan asked loudly over everyone's chatter.

They turned to the brothers as the mages were silenced. Arthur stared at his oldest brother who stood in between him and the palace. Arthur was stunned. Why did Duncan decide to say this?

Duncan took another deep breath to ask, "How many times has he been there for you? Saved you? Cared for you? Are you going to do nothing about that now? You're a terrible partner"

Dylan was worried as Sean slowly covered his mouth in a stunned manner. Liam stood behind Sean with fear as Clarisse only waited to see their responses. Arthur clutched his hands at his side before lightning was bursting.

"Shut up!" Arthur yelled as he stood against him, "How dare you make such a statement! I was ready to charge back in there, but you stopped me?! Did you forget?! Let me remind you!"

He cast a bolt of thunder as Duncan threw a metal rod on the ground to direct Arthur's thunder to it before creating a blue sphere of fire and tossing it towards him! Dylan wanted to interfere only for Sean to hold him back. Arthur countered by creating his own sphere of lightning and throwing it to break Duncan's. Smoke erupted as Duncan charged through it with his broadsword in his hands to swing at Arthur! Creating a shield of lightning, the prince withstood the strike, but he was pushed back.

"Come on!" Duncan snapped in a frustrated manner, "Are you going to do nothing? Are you going to stand there and not fight back?! Are you going to leave the fighting to everyone else?!"

Arthur struggled, but he firmly held his ground. He let his left hand hold the shield while using the right one to gather lightning. He closed his eyes and wanted to strike his oldest brother back with everything he had.

Thinking about his oldest brother's words made the youngest prince conclude; he always had someone there who cared for him and those they love and cherish.

João's unwavering devotion, Gilbert's blunt nature, Rajesh's joyful exasperation, Vlad's fiery help, Lukas's icy concern, Laura's immense understanding, Yao's draconic strength, Roderich's musical words, Erzsébet's tough determination and Iryna's cold love.

This is not forgetting his brothers and Francis's little sister either who continued to support the couple throughout their adventure. Clarisse's unique knowledge, Liam's delightful bravery, Dylan's endless wisdom, Sean's unshakable determination, and Duncan's unfathomable strength.

Yes, how could the prince be so blind to believe he would do this alone when the answer was right in front of him? He gathered his lightning and took a deep breath before opening his palm to unleash a lightning storm around himself and his oldest brother, trapping them in a thunderstorm! Duncan held the broadsword in a protective manner until Arthur ran forward to grab his arm!

"Thank you" Arthur spoke in a determined tone as he faced Duncan, "For everything from everyone, including you. I won't let anything happened to Francis because he's coming back with me! Not just as a simple baker, but as my cherished partner!"

Releasing all the lightning he stored up, Arthur shocked Duncan! Duncan stared at Arthur with a stunned expression before succumbing to the lightning and believing in his little brother to save their home, the kingdom, the people, and their new brother-in-law. He fell, but Arthur quickly caught him to have him rest on the ground with his side.

"Duncan! Arthur!" Dylan shouted with worry as Sean released him to only stare at Duncan's unconscious state, "What happened?!"

"He understands what he needs to do" Sean answered with a shrug as Clarisse approached Arthur to take his hands in hers.

She stared at him with a pleading expression to ask, "Please come back with him and yourself. You're important to him, your brothers, and our friends. Francis would be devastated if anything happened to you as well. Please come back together"

Arthur held her hands to give it a squeeze and vowed, "I will ensure we come back together. You have nothing to worry about. I will ask this of you, Duncan, Sean, Dylan, and Liam. When anything happens, come to the palace. We will need your help at that point. Do you understand me?"

Everyone agreed with the prince who stood up and turned to the palace. Yes, he had nothing to fear anymore for they were with him and Francis. He smiled warmly at them with confidence and reassurance to them.

"Thank you for everything you've done. You mean so much to Francis and me, so please be there" the prince requested before taking a bow to them and turning to run to the palace.

With each step the prince took, he was shaking with his resolve and wonder intact. Yes, the prince had nothing to fear anymore as he knew what he must do to save everything he loves. He climbed through the overgrown gardens and pass the broken palace to arrive before the throne room to face the Ring of Diamonds.

The ring on the duke's finger was out of control, and Arthur knew the only way to satisfy the ring was him. If that is what it took to save his kingdom, people, and Francis, he would ensure of their meeting and face the ring with everything he had.

The sight of the throne room alone made his blood burn with fury. It was broken with the tapestries ripped apart and debris everywhere. Only one throne was left intact and that was Duncan's. Right now, the ring in control of the Duke of Diamonds was sitting on Duncan's throne with his legs crossed and smirking. To his left were a few vines holding Francis and had him on his knees. His signature rapier was nowhere to be seen, but the ring didn't harm him. Arthur only summarized that Antonio was barely holding on to ensure that Francis was not harmed. The prince would thank the duke for that personally.

"Ah, nice for you to join us, Arthur" the ring greeted before standing up with a stretch and holding the hand out to the prince, "So, are you ready to meet with my demands?"

Francis gazed up, relief filling his entire body when he saw Arthur standing there. He finally smiled at the sight of the prince, but the baker was worried if he should be here without anyone at his side. He knew how important Arthur is to the kingdom, people, and him. Francis didn't want anything to happen to his love.

A weight lifted from Arthur's shoulders as he saw Francis and knew everything would go according to plan. He would ensure that his brothers, their kingdom, the people, and his beloved partner would be saved as met with the ring's demand.

Taking a deep breath and calming his racing heart, Arthur gazed lovingly at Francis who was staring with worry present on his handsome features. A look that Arthur would do anything to ease with his abilities and promised to do so.

"Everything will be alright, Francis. I promise, so please, do not worry about a thing, love" Arthur reassured sweetly to his Francis before his gazed harden at the possessed Antonio, "And yes, I will meet your demands. But get off my brother's throne. It is for him, not you"

A little surprised to hear the youngest prince's demand, but the ring did step off the throne with a dark smirk returning to the features. It couldn't believe that the youngest prince was truly this naïve and foolish to even agree to this. Well, the ring will not turn this down since the prince was willing to admit to the demands.

Francis couldn't do much with being held back. He knew Arthur could handle himself and had good ideas on occasion. The baker didn't want to watch and do nothing, not when he could be of use. And yet, he couldn't look away from the scene and only hoped that everything would turn out safe and well in the end.

The possessed duke stood in front of the prince, but the prince returned his caring gaze to his partner to speak in a loving tone, "Oh, and I have one more thing to say. Francis, je t'aime Francis"

Why did the prince's words sound so final to the baker? What did the prince mean? Why is he holding that smile? A smile filled with love and last wishes? The ring only rolled the eyes at the sight before unsheathing a dark, dagger, ready to claim the demand.

Everything seemed to blur before the prince and baker when the ring took quick steps towards the prince. It lunged and struck the dagger to stab Arthur's abdomen with a cry coming from the prince!

"ARTHUR!" Francis cried out from his chest and heart at the sight of his lover being stabbed right before his eyes.

Arthur gasped as his eyes were shaking and wide, slowly staring at his abdomen to see the dagger roughly lodged in. The prince shakily placed his hands on the dagger's hilt. Warm blood was sweeping into his clothes from the fresh wound and covering his hands. His breathing was shaking heavily as panic flowed throughout his entire body before trying to refocus on Francis. His trying gaze was met with the possessed duke who still had a firm hand on the dagger and used his other hand to hold the back of the prince's head to whisper in his ear in a dark tone.

"And with that, our deal is done. Gracias, mi amigo. It has been a pleasure" the ring whispered darkly before pulling the dagger out and letting Arthur fall onto the stone floors of the throne room.

Not caring about the danger the baker was in, Francis ripped himself free from the loose vines and ran to Arthur's side. The ring motioned the vines to not restrained the baker while deciding to let them have a final moment together. The ring simply watched with the arms crossed and the dagger still in its hands, dripping with Arthur's blood.

The baker pulled the dying prince to his lap and held him close as he tried to cover the fresh wound with his hands. The prince's blood poured and covered the baker's hands and soaking his clothes. A million thoughts were running through his mind as he tried to think of any way to save his love. He had trouble processing the idea that this was their deal. Why would the prince do something so reckless for him?! What was he thinking?! The baker wouldn't let the prince's life end here, but what could he even do to save him?

"No, no, why? Why did this happen? What were you thinking?" Francis asked desperately at the state the prince is in as the baker was slowly dissolving into French to speak.

Using some of the prince's remaining strength left, Arthur used his left hand to hold Francis's right cheek and stroked it gently while holding a loving expression. Surprised by the action of the prince, Francis used his right hand to hold Arthur's left while Francis's left hand never left the wound. The baker stared at the prince with a stunned expression at the prince's features. Despite dying, Arthur was holding a loving, peaceful expression with some tears threatening to fall from his face.

"Everything will be alright, Francis" Arthur spoke in pain but a smile still present on his features, "I do not have any regrets now that I know you are safe along with my brothers. Besides, I also think this is for the best as well. I was an ass to my brothers and caused some trouble for being rebellious. I am grateful that I'll see you one last time"

The baker's eyes were wide as he felt dread and pain at the words he heard from his prince. These were the words he never wanted to hear too soon. This couldn't be their end, could it? He still had so much he wanted to do and show the prince. This couldn't be it! Francis refused this to be their end!

"N-non! Don't speak such things!" Francis pleaded as he struggled to smile and let his tears fall, "You'll be ok. It's fine! Your brothers love you; I love you! I had so much fun! I can't imagine my life without you! Please, don't give up, Arthur!"

Simply smiling at his love, Arthur only felt peace and love. After his mother died, he never thought he would find love, let alone a partner he wanted to share his life with. He could never thank Francis for everything he gave him from an adventure, love, and joy to being with him until the end. Wanting to reassure his lover, Arthur continued to wipe the baker's falling tears with his hand while smiling at Francis who continued to weep. However, knowing that his time was almost up, the prince wanted to tell the baker a final request.

"Francis, please look after my brothers, and I have one final request of you, if that's alright. Ah, I feel like I am always asking you for something" Arthur joked with a smile before he felt a chill and utterly weak as he tried to keep himself awake long enough for the baker.

"Non, it is fine! I'll do it! Name it! What is it?" Francis asked in a desperate manner as he tried his best to calm himself with his grip on Arthur tightening to warm him and not let him go.

"Could you please smile for me, one last time? I always loved to see you smile" Arthur spoke in an honest tone with a soft smile, "It always made me flush and love"

Realizing the implications of his words and final request, Francis couldn't stop his tears and only nodded his head to keep his voice from crying. Mustering his courage and fulfilling his lover's final request, Francis smiled with a bright expression as some tears did fall from his face. Feeling at peace and relief, Arthur held a smile of his own before closing his eyes and succumbing to his wound with his hand falling into Francis's.

"Arthur? Arthur...." Francis cried as he shook his head and his love to awaken him only to fail, "No, no please! Not you! I don't know what to do! I need you! Arthur, I love you"

He rested his head against Arthur's chest and sobbing, letting out his grief and sadness as much as he could. As much as it pained him, he still had to save his friend from the ring's clutches and keep his word to Arthur. He can't grieve over his prince until this is over. Francis shook his head and wiped his tears before resting his head against the prince's.

"Oui, I'll make sure they're looked over, but my love for you is forever, Arthur. Rest well, my love" Francis whispered in a loving tone before pressing a final kiss to Arthur's lips while holding his hand.

Francis couldn't leave Arthur and cried while holding him close. The ring only watching them with a malicious smirk until it felt fear when it noticed a warm light emitting from the couple! No, this could not be possible. The ring ensured of the prince's death! How could they have this power to defeat it?! This should not happen! Where did this power of true love come from?!
