Chapter 26: Firstly Second
To be honest, I had to rush this one. It's short, about 1050 words... or so. I rushed this because we are going to somewhere where wifi doesn't exist. It's not Hell though, lmao.
“I approve the Monsters's offer.”
The king of the human kingdom, King Pierce, answered. Confused and shocked looks were the reactions of the other officials.
“Really?” Thomas lowered his voice, “this monsters can betray us! Haven't you heard? A monster killed an innocent child near the mountian they were locked in!”
He glared at the king and the queen of the monsters, “And, I heard they were a goat type monster.”
“That innocent child was me.” Chara hissed but continued, “Before it all happened, I fell down the hole of that mountain.”
Puzzled looks went at her. One human stood up, “I'm sure you knew the legends!” No one even bothered to asked why was she here. That would lead to another subject.
“I knew. I fell down on purpose, thanks to humans.”
She replied angrily.
Voices chattered down the meeting and another one asked. “Weren't you scared that you don't know what a 'monster' means, in that time?”
“I was confident that humans are worse than monsters.”
Some were offended, especially the train, some were nodding, and one was smiling. The one was Frisk. He liked how she became so brutally honest. He guess his father was wrong, she wasn't innocent in any corner.
“She's a misanthropist.” Thomas stated and continued, “She hates mankind. Disgusting.”
Frisk stood up and faced Thomas. “General Der "Thomas" Feuchter Motor, please learn to respect. You're a high offcial, I'm sure you learned how to respect in your past school, am I correct?”
Some stiffled their laugh and someone almost snorted.
“B-but” Thomas cleared his throat and revised. “But she hates humanity—!”
Two kings glared at him, and he quickly apologized.
“I wouldn't hate humantiy if it weren't for humanity themselves.”
Chara interposed quickly. Closing her eyes and sighing.
“Do you still hate them… or us?”
General Rachel turned at Chara. Chara opened an eye and look at them. Frisk drop a sweat.
“W-Well…” Chara started, she then accidentally locked eyes with Frisk. She slightly blushed, and some noticed her blush. “Well, I don't hate all of you people anymore.”
‘heh.’
‘Fuhuhuhu!’
‘H-Heh’
‘Nyeh?…!’
‘Not now… my child’
‘Not the place… not the time…’
‘What the hell?!’
‘Another point for princess Chara!’
“Heh, of course...” Rachel commented and glimpsed at the worried Frisk, “…humanity change.”
She sighed, and pointed at Thomas, “Except for that one.”
“Hey! I changed!”
He retorted.
Chara turned and narrowed her eyes at him. “Really?”
Sans spoke before Thomas replies. “well, there are humans already living in our kingdom so... yeah.”
“I understand. Thank you.” Pierce thanked and smiled.
“no prob.”

Hours passed. Arguments were brought, only to be silenced by sermons and retorts. The cooperation of Alphys and Simon for the advancement of technology starts in next week, Monday. Monsters and Humans were now allowed to enter different kingdoms, Thomas was the only one who opposed, but quickly failed preventing the agreement. Other subjects were discussed, some were agreed and others weren't.
The meeting just finished and now was the time of exit. It was the time of the night and silence was in the air. The moon and stars were on the sky, stars shining faintly.
‘Some of those stars already died… there faint lights are the only vestige of them.’
Frisk was lying on the field of grass. He bade goodbyes and quickly left the meeting just to see the stars, including the full moon. The silent atmoshpere was soothing.
‘…when will I confess?’
He thought, but quickly shrugged it off. This isn't the good time to propose to her, a lot of things happened in one day and they all need to swallow it slowly. The approval will start in the next Monday, does that mean he too may exit and enter the monster's kingdom? He can enter the said kingdom surely, but what about the exit? Will his father allow him? Who knows…?
The sounds of movement of the grasses near his head, and then the a quick and soft thump rang into his ears.
“—Well if you're going to think to confess to someone, make sure she doesn't hear your thoughts 3 meters away.”
A familiar feminine laugh broke out.
Not tilting his head to see the speaker since he was blushing, he too laughed. Their laugh soon slowed down, and the silent atmosphere soon spread. He asked, “Aren't the stars beautiful?”
She replied, “Yeah, it's sad to say that some of them remains the light reaching our world. Some of them lasts for years.”
He joked, “Light years.”
She giggled, “That was terrible.”
“Am I terrible?”
He asked curiously. Still not tilting his head who the girl was. Apparently, his father forgot to tell him to not talk to strangers.
“Be specific.”
She replied.
“Over-all?”
“Oh, …just one.”
“Where?”
“Puns, of course!”
He unintentonally frowned slightly. Though, he didn't mind.
The girl continued not noticing the frown, “You're lucky you only have one terrible thing that shows you. Some people has a ton compared to you.”
He joked once again, “A skele-ton.”
Her eyes glittered with hope and amusement. She looked at him.
She then asked, “Where did you get that pun?”
He chuckled, “Just from a dream.”
“Whom?” She quickly asked. Hope bubbling in her chest, along with determination.
“…from a skeleton. A short one not to mention…”
He exclaimed, “The dream was so real! But it looks like a game though. I'm guessing I was placed in the view of the player, funny.”
“…like a puppet.”
She muttered.
“What?”
That was confusing.
“Nothing…!”
He shrugged it off, and closed his eyes, seemingly as always.
She thought for a moment. Deciding to whether ask more or let the questions rest and enjoy the presence of him.
‘…one more question wouldn't hurt… right?’
“…Do.. you.. uhm— know that… that short skeleton is real?”
“Well yeah, he is real. He's name is Sans.”
She mentally facepalmed, yeah… that was… sadly obvious.
“N-No…! Uhm..— you two talked before…”
“Really?”
He opened an eye.
“Yes! You two tell puns to each other!”
“Seems legit.”
“You were his son!”
Two eyes were open, shock, if you read them. He then narrowed his eyes, confused.
“What—?”
“Adoptive.”
She interjected.
“Oh…”
Before she could continue, he sat up and looked at her.
“...Greetings…?”
The girl was Chara.
He didn't greeted back, instead he looked around. No one was there, except for two glowing red eyes on the shadows of a far tree. It's probably just a bat.
He smirked and grabbed her waist, then pulled her into a kiss. She was suprised at first, but she didn't show any reaction of suprise, she was craving for this. Craving for h̶a̶n̶d̶s̶— the kiss.
Wrapping her hands around his neck softly, the kiss lasted for a minute.
For her, this wasn't the first.
For him, this was the first.
But for them, this was the best.
Yet.
(̶ ̶̶͡°̶ ̶̶͜ʖ̶ ̶̶͡°̶)̶
I can't help it. My sin gauge is near to the boiling point.
I'll be offline starting on Monday to the first week of June.
My mom got me a sketchpad. But she wants me to read the books. Now I'm pretending I'm reading one and taking notes, those notes are drawings. The book is beneath the sketchpad. Hue hue hue hue.
Shhh.
