8: Plans a plenty
Jungkook stood at the widow, twisting his wand letting hundreds of anxious thoughts run through his mind. Where did Jimin and Taehyung go? Why did they take them? Why had their hair colour changed? He'd failed as a partner. He was never going to see them again. Claiming them was a mistake-
"Hey, Princey,"
The princes' eyes shot open with sudden irritation and Jungkook wasted no time whipping around to lunge right for the shorter male, grabbing him in a choke hold. "I. Will. End. YOU!"
Thankfully the others came in just in time and pulled him off of Yoongi before he could suffocate the poor man. "DON'T DELAY HIS DEATH!" Jungkook shouted once he pried himself out of Namjoon's arms.
"Calm yourself Prince Jungkook," The knight told him. "He's not here to hurt anyone."
There was a wave of certainty in Namjoon's voice, as if he wasn't sure if that was even true. Even though they weren't the same people, Yoongi still looked exactly like Agust D, minus the hair colour and scar. For that reason Namjoon was almost reluctant to pull them apart, perhaps he wanted to see him surfer for just a moment longer. "Well I don't care! Because I want to hurt him!" The prince yelled. "I should've killed you the moment I saw you! You horrid, despicable, intolerable-"
"Oh my God, SHUT UP!" Everyone's attention turned to Yoongi. He stood next to Hoseok with his hand running down his pale face. "Okay, just shut, up. Everyone here talks so damn much! Like, I get it - Agust D is a piece of shit but I don't want to have to hear about it 24/7! Get a hobby that doesn't involve bitching about him for gods sake!"
Everyone was dead quiet. "Great," Yoongi said calmly, as if he didn't just blow up a moment ago. "Now that I've got your attention, we need to find a way to get Taehyung and Jimin, then get the hell out of this place."
Jin nodded in agreement, but glanced at Namjoon. He'd be lying if he said he didn't want to leave just yet. Yes, he was angry at Namjoon for ordering the torture of Ateez, but Jin still wanted to stay by his side just a bit longer.
He could tell Yoongi wasn't as attached to the realm. Why would he be? He's done nothing but sit in a cell and be verbally harassed. Plus, he had his own love to go back to. There was no reason to fall for this Hoseok when there was his own to go back to. "It's a long journey to their kingdoms," Hoseok informed them. "And the chances of us making it back are few and far between."
"It's a chance I'm willing to take." Said Yoongi without any hesitation.
"Me too." Namjoon looked at Jin worriedly and quickly shook his head.
"You need to stay here where it's safe." He said.
"Fine, you come with me then. There, problem solved."
"Wait-"
"Pardon me," they heard a small voice say. Next to Beomgyu was Huening Kai, who had entered the room unnoticed. "Permission to speak?"
"Denied. Now, exactly how do we get there?"
"Jungkook," Jin sent the prince a warning glare before turning back to the assistant, asking him to continue. Huening Kai gave him a thankful nod then cleared his throat.
"If it's not too much trouble," he started. "Beomgyu and I would like to go search for Taehyun."
"A friend of ours." Stated Beomgyu once he saw the confused looks on the other's faces. "He was the one taken by Chanyeol and Baekhyun. No doubt Felix and Han made it back to their families, but we know they still have Taehyun! We need to go find him!"
"We can't sacrifice any aid on a small rescue mission. We already need to focus on two others." Namjoon said, much to the disappointment of the young shifters yet they seemed to be expecting that answer.
Huening Kai walked over to Prince Jungkook, his eyes somewhat pleading. "We figured." He said. "Which is why we request that we go alone."
There was no hesitation in Jungkook's voice when he denied them. "I'm not losing another member of my court!" He explained. "A journey that long is too great of a risk. Especially for you two."
At that, Beomgyu stepped forward as well. "With all do respect, your highness, this hardly concerns you. We simply seek permission. This 'small' rescue mission, for someone is over 20 feet tall mind you, is for a person we care deeply for! We'll be accompanied by our hyung's, Soobin and Yeonjun, who we'll meet out of enemy sight. The two of us will be fine. So please, allow us to go."
Jungkook, Jin and Namjoon looked between one another as the shifters anxiously awaited an answer. After a moment the three of them nodded firmly then turned to the boys. "Alright, you can go."
Beomgyu and Huening Kai cheered but were quickly silenced by the knight. "But if things get out of hand send a signal and someone will be there to help."
Both shifters bowed and thanked their Hyung's profusely before rushing out to get ready.
"Now that the children are gone," Yoongi said suddenly, once again gaining everyone's attention. "Once we get Jimin and Taehyung, we need to be one hundred percent sure that the wand will get us out."
"We'll only know once we try it. And if it works we may not be able to get back." Jin muttered. The other's agreed. They stewed in thought while Jungkook stood with a look of confusion.
They didn't mean his wand did they? The prince twisted his weapon in his hand as he asked "What are you talking about?"
Everyone stopped. Their eyes silently asking who was going to tell him while was left to Jungkook wonder anxiously. "Hyung's? Why do you need my wand?"
Yoongi was about to explain, but Hoseok figured he had done enough talking and covered his mouth as Jin stepped forward. "Jungkook-ah," He said softly. "Neither of us are from this dimension. Same for Tae and Jimin."
"E-Excuse me?" Jungkook's eyes widened in disbelief. "Do you take me for some sort of fool?" He shouted. He looked to Hoseok and Namjoon for some sort of support yet all they did was look down, as if they still refused to face the truth themselves.
"In our word, your wand was a dusty artifact we found in a storage closet. It was what brought us here." Jin continued. He placed his hand on Jungkook's shoulder to offer some sort of comfort, but the prince refused to look at him.
"We all took the bodies of our alternate selves. I'm not really Prince Seokjin and Yoongi isn't really Agust D."
"What about Taehyung and Jimin? I've seen V, and Taehyung doesn't look or act like him..." he tried to avoid asking the question of if they used him for the wand. Jungkook didn't want to think of that possibility, because he truly did care for them and the last thing he wanted was for it to all be a ruse.
That's when Yoongi spoke up. "Well I may not know exactly what's going on, but I am a fucking genius." Hoseok resisted the urge to facepalm, but Jin didn't hold back. "I think things like that only kick in when you meet your life here."
"Yoongi, what the hell does that even mean?"
"Hear me out! You only had purple hair when you got to Gwacheon and that's when your magic activated. Apparently Agust D's hair is blonde but mine is silver because my powers are dormant. It turned silver when I got to the cell and met Hobi. Maybe the reason their hair was different and Tae had that massive freak out was because they had come into contact with their alternate lives!"
"Wow...that actually makes a lot of- WHAT DO YOU MEAN FREAK OUT?" Completely forgetting that Jin wasn't at the attack, Hoseok and Yoongi gave him and Namjoon a quick recap. As well as the new news that Taehyung may just be some sort of demon.
Just as Jungkook had mentioned before, he familiar with V, though only vaguely. He'd seen him in paintings and heard whispers of his power. Anyone in Kai's court was already considered dangerous, but that was unparalleled to the fear of Kai himself as well as his husband.
Jungkook knew for a fact that V wasn't just a demon but was something much stronger, and he had been by the prince's side this entire time. In that case, he truly had stolen Taehyung and Jimin away. Now he understood why they were taken, but it didn't mean he wouldn't try to get them back.
One explanation and a panic attack from Jin later, they decided they needed to work on a real plan. "We can't go with large reinforcements. We'll be spotted too easily." Stated Namjoon. "Which means we'll be relying on our own strength." The knight looked everyone up and down with a look of disapproval.
"None of you are up to par. Especially you." He pointed to Yoongi. "Your powers are dormant, effectively making you useless."
"Gee thanks. You're so motivational." Just as Yoongi suspected - Namjoon tore into him at every chance he took. All the praise was saved for Jin, Hoseok and Jungkook. Meanwhile Yoongi got criticised if he decided to breathe.
Even Jackson seemed to get on his case about the smallest things. Jackson. The man who could make friends with a rock - was angry with Yoongi. Or more so Agust D. Something about how he helped in the plot to kill his family. Honestly Yoongi had spaced out during most of that conversation. He was focused on two things, and two things only: If Tae and Jimin were safe, and if they were alive.
Yoongi wasn't the type to stress about things, but this entire situation had dumped loads of anxiety onto him. The same went for Jin. The poor man couldn't go ten minutes without going into fits of worry. Not only did he fear for his dongsaeng's, but for his kingdom as well.
Every day he was bombarded with a new problem and Jin felt like he would snap at any moment. Thankfully - there was a solution.
"Rip his dick off Prince Seokjin!"
"Tear off his arm Prince Jungkook!"
"Please don't kill each other!"
Sparring. A perfect way to get aggression out and practice magic. Yoongi thought it was a waste of time, Namjoon was making sure the two princes didn't destroy each other, while Jackson and Hoseok were hoping for the exact opposite. They were bored. Sure, an invasion can get your adrenaline pumping, but afterwards, then what? Watch your leaders fight to the death of course.
"This is a waste of time!" Yoongi groaned. He completely ignored the fight happening in front of him. Fighting was fighting beneath all the flashy lights, and it bored him. "We need to go get Jimin and Taehyung!"
"Not yet," Namjoon replied simply. "Strength is key. We're not ready for a fight yet."
Yoongi scoffed. "Whatever you say, oh wise Jedi master Namjoon."
------------------------------
Jimin was not okay. How could he be? He was in an unfamiliar building surrounded by demons and darkness! Oh yes, and how could he possibly forget the two ton wings dragging him down? It was like hell.
Scratch that - this was hell! Jimin couldn't help but let out a yell of frustration. He had looked everywhere for an escape but there was nothing. The door was locked, there were no hidden exits, the window was thirty feet above the ground and he could hardly get the wings to move, let alone fly. "I hate this..."
Just as he said that, the faint smell of smoke entered the room. Jimin turned to see a man materialise out of this air, practically stepping out of the shadows. "Why so sad love?" asked Taemin.
Jimin slowly backed away from him, till he tripped over his wings and fell onto the bed. Taemin examined his frightened state and simply shook his head. The demon moved over to him, helping him up by holding his hand which caught Jimin off guard. "There's no need to be scared, Jimin." He said softly. "I don't know what they did to you, but all I pray is that you remember who I am and come back to my side."
How was Jimin meant to respond to that? He still had no clue who Taemin was. Was he just supposed to go along with this and pretend?
That idea didn't sound half bad.
"I'm sorry," Jimin whispered. "I still don't know who you are, who I am, or what this place is." He made sure to put more emphasis on his confusion to get Taemin to feel some sympathy. It seemed to be working. The demon looked away sadly, but Jimin gently pulled his face back to his direction. "But...could you remind me?"
Jimin was taken aback when Taemin cupped his cheeks and leaned forward. His lips just brushed against Jimin's and the younger had to resist the urge to squirm. "Anything for you Jimin." He gave Jimin a quick peck on the lips. Hardly a kiss, yet Jimin felt intoxicated by it.
He quickly snapped out of his trance when Taemin moved away. "Join me for dinner?" The demon asked with a smile. He snapped his fingers, a click being heard from the door. "Feel free to explore. It may jog your memory."
With that, Taemin disappears once again. Leaving only a cloud of black mist that Jimin was quick to fan away. Jimin's fingers grazed his plush lips. The feeling of the kiss still lingered and Jimin couldn't help but wonder why it had such a strong effect on him. "Well, I did say I wanted to be the wife of a mega rich mad king, didn't I?" He chuckled bitterly.
Right about now, Jimin was wishing they had gotten the wand earlier. If they had succeeded the first time, they wouldn't be in this mess now. "God is a bitch," He groaned. Jimin's eyes soon wandered over to the now unlocked door. He snuck a quick peak and saw that guards were roaming throughout the hall.
There was no way he'd be able to escape yet, but it wouldn't hurt to look around.

I've got a lot of the next chapter completed already so hopefully it might be up soon. One bad thing came after another and I just couldn't write efficiently.
