Jimin saw him. He swore he saw him. He saw his prince rush right by him in the blink of an eye. "Out of my way!" A familiar voice shouted just as they pushed past him. All he saw was the figure speeding away but Jimin knew for a fact that it was him.
With the hall filled to the brim with people and the lights low, Jimin knew this was the perfect time to follow him. He glanced in the direction he thought Jungkook went and hastily went to follow after only to be harshly yanked back to where he was. The winged-man felt something tug against his throat yet when he felt around, there was nothing there. "Where do you think you're going?" Taemin whispered in Jimin's ear, making him shutter.
"T-To talk to a few people?" The demon chuckled at him. He pulled his hand back, tugging at the invisible leash that brought Jimin right into his grasp.
"Did I give you permission?" He growled.
"N-No b-but I-"
"Then you're not going anywhere." Jimin could do nothing but nod weakly as he felt his neck begin to restrict. His quick submission made the incubus smirk and stroke his head. "Good boy."
Taemin eventually turned his attention away when a large cloud of smoke suddenly materialised at the front of the hall. The lights dimmed further as a single spot light was set and not a moment later outstepped Kai. The room went silent. His cool grey eyes surveyed the crowd before a grin arose on his face and with the wave of his hand tall wine glasses appeared in front of each of the guests. "Welcome everyone," he greeted. "As I'm sure you are all aware, this has been a rather difficult and interesting time for my kingdom, Exodus." For a split second, his stone cold expression cracked and a frown formed on his face as if he were thinking back on the events of the past few weeks. Strangely, Jimin couldn't help but feel sympathy towards him because as much as he wanted to hate him for stealing Taehyung, in truth, he was realistically his to take. It didn't feel right, but Jimin still understood it. "My husband had gone missing and the empire had gone into disarray. However, I am pleased to say that our king has finally returned."
Kai raised his glass and everyone soon followed suit. "At long last, I present - V." In a flash, a face Jimin knew all too well appeared. He was ghostly pale and his eyes were soulless but Jimin could still recognise him in an instant.
"Taehyung...?"

After a bit of searching, everyone regrouped towards the back of the venue. Everyone except the prince of Busan. Jin looked around worriedly for the, once again, lost prince, scared that he may have gotten hurt or worse, captured. "Where's Jungkook?" No one had seen him since they'd arrived. While Jin continued to scan the room, Hoseok's eyes landed on Namjoon, who had been oddly quiet this entire time.
"Namjoon," he whispered. "Why do you look so shaken up? Does Kai know we're here?" The younger knight shook his head.
"No, but he might soon." Hoseok, rightfully concerned, pressed him to continue yet Jin was the one to grab his attention. The crowd was distracted since Kai had walked out to give a short speech. So he and Namjoon took the opportunity to sneak out and find Jungkook.
Jin gave Yoongi a very specific warning not to get killed or else he'd find a way to revive him and kill him again himself. To which Yoongi gave him a thumbs up and said he could make no promises. After all, it was as if he was practically a danger magnet. Once the Namjin duo set off, Hoseok made sure to cover Yoongi immediately and survey the crowd. He was keen to keep him alive this time around, and he knew at least sixty percent of the people in the room wanted Agust D dead.
Not on my watch
Yoongi, on the other hand, was focusing on Kai's speech, his mouth falling agape when the second king of Exodus appeared. "Taehyung...?"
"Though the criminal who stole him away has yet to be caught," Kai continued, his voice deepening slightly. "I can guarantee that you will find his head on a spike in the coming days." The crowd murmured amongst themselves, as Yoongi felt his stomach begin to churn with fear. Kai was quick to shush everyone and held up his glass. "No need to worry. For now, let us raise our glasses to commemorate our reunion." He took Taehyung's hand, and though the younger hardly reacted, he grinned anyway.
Just before he could do the toast, Mark flew to Kai's side. The king growled at the intrusion but Mark cut him off as he whispered in his ear. No one could hear what he said, but from the looks of it, it was no good for the rescuers. Their eyes travelled in Yoongi's direction and for a moment, time slowed. The king's glass shattered against the ground as he flew full force at the duo, grabbing Yoongi by the neck and slamming him right to the floor. His once cold eyes were now lit with fury as he bared his teeth at the smaller man in his grip. The crowd gasped in shock and hastily stepped back, yet one person in particular pushed forward. "Yoongi!?" Jimin shouted, held back only by Taemin's harsh clutch.
"Agust D," Kai snarled, bringing the intruder closer to his face. "You dare intrude on my ceremony? You think I'll allow you to take V away again?" Yoongi clawed uselessly at Kai's hand, withering and gasping for air as he began to see darkness cloud his vision. "Pathetic! And here I thought you'd put up more of a fight-"
Yoongi suddenly went to the floor. He looked up and grinned to see a long blade sharply impaled in Kai's stomach with Hoseok standing just behind him. A few guests screamed and fled in the masses, leaving only the guards and a couple of stragglers behind. "I told you I'd keep him alive." The knight spat.
"And I told you, you'd be the first to watch him go." Before Hoseok could comprehend what he meant, he was suddenly yanked into someone's hand and slammed into the wall. His body was levitated then repeatedly thrown against the brick structure. Yoongi gasped and crawled back, as Taemin finally threw Hoseok's bleeding body over his shoulder, but not before impailing his shoulder with his sword for good measure.
"You know he doesn't even remember me?" Kai cursed, slowly pulling out Hoseok's weapon with a low hiss. "I've searched his memories, I've reached into the farthest parts of his mind, but there was nothing." He glanced back at where he left V. Jimin was holding his face, desperately searching his eyes for some sort of life.
"You've taken away the things we care about most," Taemin hissed. He tossed Hoseok to the ground, a long and electric chain of magic wrapping around his body and gagging his mouth. "An arrogant, low level speed demon like yourself never should've stepped out of line. You deserve to perish!"
"Are you done?" Yoongi asked boredly. Both kings growled at him. He was staring death right in the eye, but by now, he'd flirted with the prospect of dying so many times he was ready for whatever it threw at him. At least until the others came back to help him.
"So brash. Anything else to say before we take your head?"
Yoongi smirked at them. Well, since they asked: "A to the G to the U to the STG..."

Namjoon and Jin raced through the fortress. Jin could feel the prince's fleeting aura from one of the towers and ran there as quickly as possible. Jungkook flinched as he felt the harsh wind from outside hit his trembling figure. "Prince Jungkook!" shouted Namjoon as they rushed to the prince's side.
"T-Tae...H-He w-was h-here...J-Jim-min..."
"This room is filled to the brim with dark energy, we need to go or we'll end up like him." Jungkook's body was pale, black strings and veins making their way across him, similar to Taehyung's. Jin nodded then helped Namjoon hold up as they ran out, gasping for air the moment they entered the corridor.
The ground suddenly began to tremble beneath them, an uncomfortably familiar string of words flowing through the air that Namjoon knew all too well. "W-What was that?" Asked his hyung, worry filling his voice yet again.
Namjoon turned to him, a solemn yet somewhat impressed expression on his face. "Yoongi..." With the prince sputtering in their arms they couldn't waste any time standing around and dashed back to the main hall. The whole way Namjoon's mind was racing. He didn't think Yoongi paid any attention during his lessons yet the building was crumbling at his words alone.
Just as they reached the others, everyone felt their bodies tense up. The knight's eyes widened as his legs began to lock, then his arms till eventually he could hardly move his neck. Jin kept Jungkook in his grip but soon felt himself freezing as well. Hoseok, Jimin, Taemin, Kai - they all froze. All except Yoongi.
Everything in his sight was frozen in time, except him. The man clenched his teeth as a burning sensation ran through the top of his that he tried his best to shake off. Yoongi groaned, narrowing his eyes at a near window in shock. His once silver hair was now a blinding shade of blonde with a long scar running down his face. His powers had officially awoken and now he was truly Agust D.
The now blonde didn't give himself time to dwell on the matter though and quickly turned his attention to the others. The two kings still loomed over him, their eyes fixed in harsh glares that would forever haunt Yoongi's nightmares. Carefully moving past their frozen figures, he raced over to Jimin. His friend was crying at Taehyung's feet, so distraught he couldn't bear to stand any longer and Yoongi couldn't stand the sight. Without thinking he hoisted Taehyung over his shoulder and soon did the same for Jimin. Even with his new strength he stumbled under the weight of Jimin's wings but pushed on nonetheless. He rested the two just outside the entrance they came through and rushed to do the same for Jin, Namjoon and Jungkook. Last was Hoseok.
Yoongi gazed down at the battered soldier. Bruised and bloodied, he risked his life for Yoongi. He carefully removed Taemin's sword the bonds, then gently lifted him bridal style, moving the hair out of his face with a sigh. "I know I said you weren't my Hoseok," he said softly. "But you've done too much for me not to love you at least a little." The knight began to shake ever so slightly, signalling that time was catching up to them. "Thanks sunshine." He placed a kiss on Hoseok's lips, memorized by how much they felt the ones he had always known.
By the time he reached the exit, things were slowly beginning to return to normal. Now on uneven ground, Jin suddenly fell over dropping Jungkook with him. Namjoon caught his prince but allowed Jungkook to fall flat on his face causing him to groan. Jimin soon came to as well and flinched at the sudden change in environment. "W-Why...?" He didn't get a chance to finish before he was tackled to the ground in a hug. "Hyung!" Jungkook cried.
"J-Jungkook? Jungkook!" Jimin didn't waste a second hugging him back and quickly wrapped his arms around him. He gasped when he saw everyone else standing above him.
"Yeah yeah yeah we can hug later," Yoongi said curtly since he knew that was exactly what his friend was thinking.
Namjoon nodded in agreement. "I agree. We need to go before they come for us." Namjoon held Jin against him, the older almost cradling himself in his grasp; Yoongi continued to hold Hoseok in his arms while Jungkook had Taehyung lying emotionlessly over his shoulder and simply told Jimin he'd have to keep up. Disregarding their lack of direction, they charged straight into the forest.
Jimin stumbled every now and again but Jungkook was on point catching him or reassuring him that they'd rest soon. The prince's eyes kept travelling to Taehyung, who made no protest or effort to move in the slightest. In fact, he hadn't even made a sound since they left. His face remained blank. It had Jungkook worried if there was even a way to get him back. "Prince Jungkook!" Yelled Namjoon, snapping the prince out of his thoughts. "We need to get out of here as fast as possible. Could you teleport us to the outskirts of the forest?"
"I-I've never teleported this many people before!" They could hear the feathers of Kai's men above, searching for an angle to reach them. Jungkook's heart pounded with anxiety at the mere thought of having his loves taken away from him again. Both his body and mind still felt weak from his brief time in that damn room but the idea of losing Jimin and Taehyung was all the strength he needed to take out his wand and race in front of everyone. "Everyone hold onto me." He commanded. Not wasting a moment everyone linked arms, with Jungkook at the front. He closed his eyes and blocked out everything around him. His hyungs, the guards only seconds away from capturing them, even the wind - it was all silent. With a single thought in his head and one swift motion, the group was transported to Busan's palace.
