Chapter 1
Ron Weasley
No POV
It had been 635 year since Daeran first arrived in Middle earth. When the whole Dumbledore fiasco had ended Legolas, Sirius and Daeran went back to Mirkwood where Daeran learned to master the sword and bow.
Daeran was adopted by Lord Elrond, but spent most of his time in Mirkwood. He was now Prince Tithdaeran or Prince Daeran to close family and friends.
Gandalf had become the white wizard after Saruman died. He had stayed in Isengard for a little while trying to restore it to its former glory.
With Radagast and Sirius by his side Daeran was able learn magic at a fast rate and could soon best both Sirius and Radagast at the same time. Legolas helped Daeran learn dwarvish and many other languages.
Over time Mr. and Mrs. Weasley had returned like they promised. They also brought along their children. Daeran was always excited to hang out with them.
Ron was his age and they got along great even when Ron started to grow, but Daeran still remained young. But as time wore on Mr. and Mrs Weasley stopped coming and word reached them that they had passed.
Also not long after Aragon and his wife died within a few days of each other. Leaving no children of their own. Estel lived until he was 103 years old. Daeran was upset over this, but what really got to Daeran was Sirius's death.
When Sirius had first arrived the elves had been able to lengthen his lifespan. In order to give Sirius the time he needed to teach Daeran. They couldn't grant him immortality, but they could prolong his life.
Sirius died at 432 years of age. Staying with Daeran for about 400 years. The day after the burial Daeran had locked himself in his room. Meals were taken to him, but on the sixth day of him not eating Legolas had to kick the doors down to make sure he was alright.
Sirius was not just a teacher, but he was also like another father. Daeran would tell Sirius anything and everything, the good and the bad. Sirius would tell tales of his real parents and stories from his childhood and all the pranks he pulled.
Whenever in Rivendell Sirius always enjoyed showing Elladan and Elrohir knew pranks. Legolas had found Daeran on his bed tear track stains on his flawless skin. The very sight had Legolas in tears.
Legolas like Daeran had loved Sirius as well. Even he was having trouble with the loss. But seeing the person he cared for the most in so much pain was enough to bring him to his knees.
...........
As time went on Daeran grew. But instead of being masculine Daeran had very feminine features. His hair had grown to to the middle of this back which only emphasized his features more.
He had high cheekbones and his still vibrant green eyes. His height reached around 5 foot 3 inches. Very short for an elf, but no one could deny that he was beautiful.
Legolas especially, ever since he had first laid eyes on the child he knew Daeran would one day be his. He would wait as long as Daeran needed.
Currently Daeran was practicing his sword work. While he already was pretty good and had it mastered. He still had a more harder time with the now than the bow or his magic.
Legolas watched Daeran from afar watching every move with a critical eye. "Are you just going too stand there or are you going to join me?" Daeran asked not looking towards Legolas.
Not surprised that Daeran noticed him Legolas drew out his own sword and silently made his way over. "I see you've been practicing" Legolas commented.
"Yes, but I'll never be as good as you, especially with the blade." Legolas smiled "yes, you will. You are already doing so well" Daeran smiled and blocked Legolas's attack. "I do try."
The match ended about ten minutes later with Daeran laying on the ground panting Legolas's sword pointing at his head. "See your better than me."
Legolas rolled his eyes. "That's only because I have more years of practice and experience. You could easily best any man or dwarf" Legolas sheathed his sword and helped Daeran to his feet. "Come on let's go find Alma, I'm hungry"
When they made it down to the kitchens Alma's smile greeted them. "Well hey there you two, What have you been up to that has you all sweaty" Daeran blushed deeply "Stop it Alma we were just sparring"
"uh huh"
"We were"
"Fine, we'll talk later. What can I do for you now?"
"Well-"
"Prince Legolas you are requested by Lord Thranduil to see him immediately" Saevel said. "Thank you" Legolas said addressing Saevel. Daeran was about to follow him when Legolas turned towards him.
"I'll be back stay here, alright" Daeran nodded though sad he was leaving. When Legolas and Seavel left Daeran turned back to Alma who had a secret smile on her face. "What?" Daeran asked. "Oh, you two are so cute together." Daeran blushed.
"Stop saying those things. We are not mated, you can not say such things it is inappropriate." "Oh my god Daeran he likes you too. He has since you were a child" Now Daeran was getting mad. "I said stop. Please"
"Ok, but only for now" Daeran didn't believe her because if she was wrong he would only have his heart broken.
.......................
"You wished to see me father"
"It is under my impression that there are more spiders appearing near the borders is that true?"
"Yes sir it is, however we are doing everything we can to keep them at bay, but whenever we destroy one nest another appears" Thranduil nodded his head.
"Then send out more troops more often, we can not have this spreading" "Yes sir. Father do you know why the spiders have returned?"
Thranduil inclined his head. "Something evil draws near. I do not wish to say things now. This evil seems familiar and I do hope it is not what I think it is"
Legolas knew not to ask if his father would not give, so he didn't question him. "I'll see to getting more troops out." "Also send word to Lord Elrond, he probably already knows, but I would like him to be informed more"
