..a second before my laser actually hit him, he said, with a smile on his face, "you'll regret this."

I tried to run towards him but fell on the ground within few steps. I was tired. All energy I've gathered has been put into killing Lucifer. But his corpse was right there, lying in front of me, not moving anymore. The more I looked at him, the better I could see the tears on his face. Why would he be crying..?
I shaked my head and tried to get up again, successfully this time. This was my only chance to cut off his head for good, and give it to Dyzija, so we can progress together. My plan was to pick up princess wherever she was, and to take her back to our world. She would tell her mother, the queen, everything that has happened, so I won't be accused anymore. No, I will be praised! I saved the princess! ..but, that was only my plan.
I slowly walked towards his corpse, although it was very painful. I fell on my knees right before him and took his sword that was also lying very close to his corpse.
It was very heavy, but I was capable of cutting his head off nonetheless. Once I done that, everything got light again. Dyzija wanted to speak to me..

In the following moments, I appeared in front of what seemed like the castle. I appeared.. back in my world!
"Mythia? I think.. I think we need to speak."
"Oh, princess!"
She was casually sitting there as well, right in front of the doors. Her dress seemed to be ripped and dirty, and she had few scratches on her face, but otherwise she seemed to be rather fine. I ran towards her and hugged her very tightly.
"Princess! I.. are you okay? Are you hurt? Princess, you had to go through so much.."
"Well," she said as she pushed me away, "my family knows I am back, thanks to you." she said with a very cold voice.
"So, the court will start within a few minutes, now that you are here as well. They are still blaming you. And I am ready to tell them everything that has happened so they will know the truth."
Everything about the princess seemed odd, but I didn't mind it. I was happy. She was about to tell everyone the truth, so I will be free now for good. A moment later, her majesty's bodyguards opened the main entrance to the castle, with the queen right behind their back. She just nodded at me and her daughter. We both got up and walked with them.
The court was very close, so we didn't have to go far. There was a lot of people present, as well. All of them seemed very angry, angry at me. And I couldn't wait to see the look on their faces after they get to know the truth!
The queen pointed at the crowd so they'll get silent.
"Queen, and everyone else who's present," I said and looked deep into the queen's eyes and started speaking what was truly on my heart. As she hasn't silenced me, I took it as a chance to speak up.
"I'd like to say that it wasn't me killing nor kidnapping our princess, as you might have noticed.. it was Lucifer-!"
"LIAR!" My entire body started shaking. I couldn't believe it. Why would.. how.. why.....
"It wasn't her who kidnapped me but it was only her fault that.. I am back! All I aimed for was happiness! And she took it away. She didn't let me be happy with the one I love, even for few days.. I planned on coming back in only few days! I wanted to be with him.. and she killed him! She KILLED THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!"
I couldn't believe all this actually came out of the princess's mouth. My dear friend.. has betrayed me.. hasn't she?
I couldn't even speak up. I lost all my words. Even the crowd got silent. I didn't look at her, but I knew that princess was crying. She was destroyed.. because of me.
"I never got kidnapped," she continued speaking. "I ran away because I wanted happiness.."
I fell down on my knees. This wasn't happening this wasn't happening this wasn't happening, I repeated in my head, just to hide Lucifer's words ringing in my ears. His last words..
" Y O U  W I L L  R E G R E T  T H I S . "
Then, after the princess decided to go step backwards to let the crowd know she is done, everyone except for her started furiously screaming "Off with her head!"
I didn't care anymore. I knew it was the end for me, and I didn't want to live anymore, either.
Two big masculine men grabbed my arms and dragged me towards a big piece of wood they usually cut people's head off on.
So, I was about to get almost the same punishment as Lucifer, huh.. except without all the fancy lights.
I smiled, just for myself. I knew that princess was laughing, I could hear her, even in all that loud screaming and yelling.
One of the men that dragged me towards the wooden block grabbed a giant axe that was lying right next to it, and..

"And so I write this story, from Dyzija's hall, while she isn't near me. Until this day, I do not know wheter it was Lucifer's soul wandering off his corpse towards Viola, just to possess her, so he can have his revenge. Or perhaps the princess actually wanted this. My dear friend, the only friend I really had fell in love with the evil itself. Or, maybe it was even Dyzija's plan, to get me into her hall as soon as possible to have a personal servant. Indeed, it would be disgraceful to kill a mere human as a god, and creating her own servant out of wood, or perhaps silver, or even goddamn dirt, would be too fancy. I served her my entire life, so she counted on me, I suppose. But these guesses aren't good for anything anymore. I am stuck here. I can still hear her laugh. It is engraved in my brain, until forever. And now, I.. I can hear her steps..
