"So are you going to start talking or am I going to have to call the cops?" I asked really annoyed how no one was even trying to explain themselves. Ray was standing behind me unsure of what to say or do but Nick all of a sudden boomed out laughing.

"Wow! And what are you going to tell the cops? That a couple of weirdos just picked you up from the street and took care of you?" He said cocking his smug eyebrow at me. I bit down on my tongue not wanting to lose my cool, and especially to him.

"I'm going to tell them that you two tried to kidnap me." I know I was being childish by pulling out the cop card. But I wanted answers and it didn't look like I was going to get them any time sooner.

"Oh now this I've got to see." He said daring me with his hazel colored eyes and just giving me a tiny smirk. I never knew I could be so fed up with someone to the point that I wanted to make them feel pain.

"Enough," I hear Ray snap at both of us. It was the only time that I saw Nick's smug smirk fade away. He seemed to be a little annoyed but maybe it was just me.

"If you want to know... I'll tell you the truth Arya." I glanced back at Ray and crossed my arms over my chest.

"That's exactly what I want." I said moving over to the couch and literally sat on Nick's leg. Giving him the forceful hint to move more to the side of the couch. At first I guess he wanted to prove a point and stayed perfectly still. Who knows what changed his mind but he eventually moved away and my ass was perfectly sitting on the couch waiting for Ray.

"Well I don't know how to start this or what to say..." Ray was all of a sudden getting cold feet but I wasn't going to let him.

"Then just do it." I said.

"Nick and I are hunters." He said after a few minutes of silence. I looked at him a bit confused by the word hunters. I was lost in my mind trying to understand.

"So you like to hunt what?" I asked, I mean I really don't judge people that have some Hill-Billy background. I mean my parents taught me to be respectful towards everything and everyone. But I couldn't help but feel like this was such an awkward thing to say.

"We like to hunt, um" Ray was again stuck and didn't know what to say to me. Do they hunt cats? Are they secret serial killers! I was really getting creeped out when I feel Nick grunt in frustration and stand up.

"Ray you suck at explaining." He said shoving him out of the way and looked straight at me. He looked very confident and so serious. This is the most I've seen him with all jokes and smiles aside.

"Arya." He said looking at me making sure that I was putting attention to him.

"We. Are. Hunters." He said very clearly and I was just looking at him not understanding why he was repeating himself. I was literally about to run thinking that these guys are killers or something like that.

"We hunt from vampires down to ogres. We hunt witches and werewolves that don't respect the treaty or get out of line. We hunt nightmares and creatures of the night. And we're your bodyguards." He didn't seem to even blink when he told me all of this. I glanced from Nick to Ray not really knowing what to say to them. I placed my face in my hands and just tried to rub my eyes. This was so irritating.

"Look if you just wanted to be jerks about it, you could've just said we don't want to tell you." I said really irritated as I got up from the couch and just glared at this jerks.

"By the way, Ray don't bother to show me around tomorrow. I don't want liars with me." I snapped at him and started walking towards the door.

"Wait Arya." I hear Ray try to come towards me but Nick stops him.

"I didn't think you were that much of an idiot." Nick hissed at me, and I almost felt my blood boil.

"No I'm not an idiot, if I was an idiot I would stay here and let you give me this fairy tale lie to cover up the fact that you just wanted to mess with me." I turned around facing both brothers that I just wanted to smack the hell out of them.

"We wouldn't be lying to you, think. How can you explain what happened at school? Or what happened to you in the middle of the street!" Nick snapped at me, why was he annoyed with me?

"Oh maybe it was just anemia... or someone drugged me?" I said trying my best to find a rational answer. But the whole someone drugging me. I totally pulled it out of my ass. By the look of Nick he knew that I didn't believe that myself.

"Arya, I know you're smart. I know that you want to be rational. But you cannot look at me in the eyes and tell me that you don't really think someone drugged you." Nick tried really hard not to snap those words to me. Maybe trying not to scare me.

"So you telling me that you guys are hunters and not regular students is a lot more reasonable than drugs. Wow, every word that's coming out of your mouth makes less sense and more crazy." I said stepping away from him. I wanted to be away from these two idiots, I wanted to go home and crawl into my bed. So my mom can come to check up on me and ask if I'm okay. At first I would be such a teenager and tell her it's nothing, but then I would tell her everything and she would tell me its fine.

"Arya, we are here because we need to protect you. If you don't want to believe that we're hunters than fine I understand. Your reaction is a lot more reasonable than if you would've just said okay." Nick was right in front of me all of a sudden, placing his hands on my shoulders. I tried to not let myself cry in front of him or Ray. I shake my head reluctant.

"Why do you need to protect me?" I asked almost secretly regretting to know the truth.

"Because you're our hope Arya. We need you and the people that want to rule our home don't want you alive." Ray said trying to be tactful with the news. I for some reason just didn't want to really understand what was going on with me.

"I'm just a normal girl, how can I be your hope." I said pulling away from Nick's touch. Not wanting his warmth to provide any comfort for me. I didn't want to be anywhere near these two.

"You're not really a normal girl, Arya. Your parents are the world's most powerful duo back in our realm. They used to be worshiped because they used to be one of the Kings and Queens." Ray said in a smooth tone. I could tell be his voice that he was being very cautious towards the things he was saying to me.

But call it my hard headed human side or whatever, but that side refused to believe a word they were saying to me. My parents were normal citizens with normal jobs and life. They weren't King or Queen of anything because I would've know. I could tell if they had a double life or something because I've lived with them. These Hunters don't know what they're talking about at all.

I walk back towards the door, having enough of these scary story telling of both of them. I immediately feel Nick's hand on my shoulder, preventing me from leaving.

"Arya you have to believe..." I cut him off immediately with my knee shoved up his precious sack making him tumble down to the floor.

"I'm done talking." I snapped at both of them. Wanting nothing more than to be away. Be at my house and convince my parents to transfer me to another school. I get out of the house slamming the door shut and walked towards the street. Realizing that it was one of the streets that was close to the school. Not only are they hunters but they're also stalkers!
