Chapter 2

DANIEL

The whistle rang loud signaling it was time for lunch. I wiped the sweat from my face grabbed my lunch and walked to the lunch area.

"James can I talk to you for a sec here." I asked.

"Of course, Daniel what is it."

"So, I got this pamphlet and..." I pulled the Anti-slavery meeting pamphlet out.

"Woah Woah Danny you can't wave that around here like that." He forced it back into my pocket.

"Why?"

"Why?!? Danny right now that's a very dangerous opinion."

"So, you don't think I should go then?"

"Daniel I'm not saying not to go. You can help a lot of people. But I'm saying just to be careful. Okay."

"Okay." I pulled out my sandwich and began to eat.

RANI

Master Charles Davis that was his name, the bane of my very existence, my reason for fear and hatred, he had us line up a few hours after he whipped me. He walked with his hands clasped behind him inspecting us. The way he eyed the girls with a heated lusty predatory gaze. I wanted to slap him but I can't risk anymore punishment today I've taken all I can for today.

"It seems to me like I've been a little too nice." He exclaimed. He stopped in front of me. "Haven't I." I say nothing.

"Haven't I Rani?"

"Yes." I say through gritted teeth.

"Hmm...I say it time for a change in assignment." He declared looking at me. "Starting with you." I glared at him. He got in my face and his voice dropped down to a whisper. "I'll break you and I can't wait until your submissively in my bed." He licked my earlobe and I flinched away from him. My face contorted into disgust and he had a smug smirk on his face that I wanted to slap off. He backed up and stated

"From now on, Rani, you will be in the house where I can keep a close watch over you. Get a move on girl." I walked and he hit me on the butt, and I froze silently fuming, but I held my head high not allowing him to get to me and I walk into the house. No, I refuse to give him the satisfaction.
