Deal
A sudden piercing voice went right through my brain. I stared in terror as the demon before me stomped towards me, revealing its excuse for eyes. I shut my eyes, afraid the scene was going to collect into the pile of my memories of my sister in my brain. Unfortunately, the image was already shoved into the depths of my mind. The demon that resembled my sister got so close that I could smell it's stinking breath. Then, it spoke in many different voices at once, "We have come." When I didn't respond, it continued, "Your sister. Permit us to tell you why she is like this." "What? She was still in there?" I thought. I immediately responded "Yes" in a squeaky voice, for I was stupefied. "Your family, they have cursed us for many years. We have stayed silent for all those years, but soon enough, it was not possible anymore. Therefore, we decided to seal a curse mark onto your sister, and cause her life to be full of pain, full of torture, the exact same things our lives were when your family tried to destroy us!" I looked at my sister. She was absolutely perfect. How could this have happened? She deserved a life full of pleasure, full of joy, not this torturous life. She deserves to be loved by all and worshiped as a god. If only there was a way..."Take me in her place." The demon shuddered and asked "What?" "I said, more confident now, "I want to take her place as your minion. Do what you want with me, but release her from the curse." A silence so heavy reached us and the demon laughed a boisterous laugh, saying, "Very well. One replaces another. I guess love does do stupid things to human actions. Your sister will do fine while you suffer because of this mistake your family has made. But whatever gets the job done will be fine. You will be taken to my lair and tested and experimented on and the people down on Earth will have no memory of you. They will live happily on with their lives, not ever knowing you existed since back there, you have slashed through all the chains of your bonds with your own kind. That is the deal. Will you accept?" I looked at my sister, this wondrous creature, and imagined how happy she would be without the curse wrapped tightly on her. I knew she would be so successful. Looking back, my life had only been disappointments and failures. I lived on the sole purpose to help my sister get on her own way. I was just another useless person that God shook his head at. Now I had the chance to bring everyone to joy and rid the world of another human in the heavy population. My sister. I wonder if this was enough for her? "I accept."
