~Dear Diary,~

~I don't know what's going on with Mckayla! She wouldn't even talk to me! I even tried going over to her house, and even that was super awkward! Not to mention that I had to deal with Mr. Queens! Dude totally doesn't like me! ~

~At least Mrs. Queens is nice, although she kind of creeps me out with how calm and collected she seems to be all the time. It's really freaky...~

~Ugh, write in you later, diary.~

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I saw Mckayla from across the school hallways as passing period was starting, she totally ignored me when I waved at her, I assumed that she didn't see me or was busy with stuff.

And I kept thinking that until Lunchtime. When I was sitting at the table, eating, Mckayla was staring at me like I did something or whatever.

"Are you okay, Mckayla?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm fine. I didn't sleep well, that's all." Mckayla shrugged and brushed out her hair and for a brief moment, I could see her chocker, although I didn't recall her wearing those often.

"Aw, that sucks. I hope you sleep well this night." I smiled and Mckayla groaned and nod her head. "Yeah, yeah..."

Mckayla acting grumpy isn't something that's out of the normal but with how much fun she had yesterday, it was like a switch flipped in her brain! I would say aliens try to take control of her brain and she fought them off, but there were no signs of bruises on her.

Then again, aliens aren't even remotely real, so that's a second thing.  Mckayla kept acting strange, especially during math class. I was quietly waiting for Mckayla to pass me a note about, well, anything.

Like, how she's thinking about dying the tips of her hair black or how dumb Mr. Marco sounds while wearing a green sweater-vest! Stuff like that. Instead, all I got was crickets on my end.

Mckayla was chatting with one of her other friends, Roxi about whatever, I guess. Roxi gave me a quick glance before she went back to laughing at something Mckayla said. It was kind of odd, but I focused on the lesson, even if time seems to drag on forever.

At the last hour of the day, Mckayla was still being totally weird! I saw her walking down the hallway with Tracey and Chase, and I waved to her, but all she did was look and kept talking to Tracey and Chase!

It's like I didn't even exist! Mckayla was my best friend! Why would she ignore me? Did I do something wrong? What's happening? This isn't fair, one bit!

As I walked back home and entered the kitchen, I began pulling out some cooking supplies and began baking a sweet, tasty looking cake for me to eat. Something sweet that could possibly comfort me during these weird iced-out periods.

As I ate my cake, feeling that big pit of sadness inside of my stomach, Dakota came in, she grabbed herself a grape soda and poured it inside of a glass cup.

"Ah.." Dakota nodded to herself, she looked over at me and rubbed the back of her neck, "You, okay? Because when you make a big cake like that, that usually means you're bummed."

"You guessed correctly." I sulked.

"Okay, who is it this time?" Dakota sighed, she sat down in the chair next to me and took a piece of cake to eat and hummed in approval. "Is it a friend of yours?"

"Yeah, it's Mckayla. She's so weird right now!" I exclaimed, "First, she talks to me like it's nothing, but now? It's like I'm invisible! I just... don't know what's going on..."

"Huh. That sucks." Dakota sips from her cup and wipes any soda drops off her lip, "You want me to give you some advice?"

"Yes, yes I would like that."  I replied.

"If you have a problem with Mckayla, you should go and confront Mckayla. Sitting around and being sad isn't gonna solve your problem! You can't bake away your feelings away, sis."

"Mm... maybe you're right." I replied as I took one more bite before standing up.  I casted my sad cake into the fridge before I put on my shoes and rushed out of the house before it was too late!

Sure, it was around 4:00 pm, but that doesn't mean it can't ever be too late to solve something before it's too late!

As I got to the door, I sighed hard and straighten up as I knocked on the door. Even though, I want to see Mckayla as fast as I can, I also didn't really want to see someone else there, mostly because he really isn't a big fan of me.

My nerves were on end as I saw Mr. Queens pop open the door, being as tall and imposing as I always saw him as.

His small eyes narrowed at me as he muttered "Rosetta."

"Mr. Queens." I smiled, but he still had that annoyed look on his face, Mckayla tells me he just has resting bitch face, but when I see him around Tracey or Chase, he's way nice to them, so I just came to the solution that he doesn't like me.

"Is Mckayla home? I really need to speak with her."

He sighs and opens the door "She's just upstairs, on your right."

"Thank you..."

Talking to Mr. Queens is like talking to a catus, it's prickly and you'll seem to never be able to cut it down and get the sweet stuff inside, but everyone else can do it with ease.

Mckayla's house wasn't too big from mine, it looks that way because it's wider but it's around the same side. Mckayla's mom, Ms. Queen was in the living room doing some daily stretches, Mckayla did mentions that she was a palliates teacher at some point.

I walked upstairs, just looking at door to door when I spotted a black colored door with green lightning bolts and stars, if that wasn't Mckayla, I would have no idea what it could have been.

I knocked on the door, but before it could open, I heard a lot of shuffling and closing, a few minutes pass and Mckayla opened the door.

"Uh, hey. What's up?" Mckayla asked, she looked really tired and yawned.

"I just wanted to talk to you, that's all." I said, "Are you okay? You look more exhausted than yesterday."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just come in.." Mckayla opened the door, and I walked inside, her room was filled with posters of rock banks, a few shirts were on the ground and her bed wasn't made yet. Her instruments were hanging on the wall and her closet was painted in black.

"So," Mckayla sat on the bed. "What do you want?"

"I just want to know what was up with you today. You didn't talk to me at all for the entire school day," I put my hands on my hips. "So, what's going on?"

"That's it? God, I talked to you at lunch, that's something right?" Mckayla pointed out. "I mean, just because I don't talk to you one day, doesn't mean anything, you're acting pushy."

"What? No, I'm just saying... I'm worried about you. Is everything okay?"

Mckayla sighed and shrugged. "Yeah, things are fine. Duh. It was only one day, relax."

"You sure?"

"Yep, now you got to go, I have some... stuff to take care of." Mckayla explained.

"Oh right, see you tomorrow." I waved goodbye and left her house, but something about Mckayla felt weird, she said she was tired and all, but it was still odd though, I could be looking into it though, it's still weird though.

But we'll be fine, I think.
