Kissing In The Chapel

14] Kissing In The Chapel

After our walk, we went back to my house and hung out for a bit. Nothing really changed between us, but we day closer to each other on my bed while we watched The Office, which I liked.

I was a blushing mess aroun him and I couldn't stop smiling. It was amazing, but I knew we had to work out some logistics as well.

"So um," I turned my head to Devin, not bothering to pause the show, "we are dating now, right?"

Devin smirked at me and smiled, "Yeah, we're dating"

"Cool" I blushed, and bit my lip.

Devin chuckled and wrapped and arm around my shoulder, laying us both down.

"Do you mind if we keep it a secret for a litter while? I'm just not out to my parents." I leaned my head up to look at my BOYFRIEND'S pretty face again.

Devin nodded, "Sure. Take your time babe"

I smiled at the pet name, although I realized he's been calling me hon for a while now.

I tucked my head into the space between his neck and shoulder, and he rested his head on top of mine. Why didn't I ask him out before?

Devin had to leave a couple hours later, but hugged before he left, saying he would see me tomorrow.

I was confused, but remembered that I'd get to see him at church. I smiled to myself again.

"He's nice, I like him" my mom said, coming up behind me with a cup of tea in her hands.

"I'm glad."

"He's okay. Kind of funny" My dad said from his spot I'm the kitchen. I only nodded at that.

I walk back up to my room, ready to see Devin at church.

I tried to dress better than usual for Church today, mainly because I'd see Devin. Okay, wholy because I'd see Devin, there is no other reason.

I put on a deep blue button down, tighter black pants, and a black blazer. I put on my dress shoes that tied at the top, instead of my slip-ons and put my trench coat on over top. The coat made me feel classy, and it's getting colder so it's was pretty practical.

I went down stairs without my parents having to push me out the door, and waited for them with Bible in hand.

My mom came out of her bedroom in a pretty purple dress and smiles at me "Well don't you look nice!"

"Thanks"

She put on her coat and gloves, yelling at my dad to hurry up. It was weird that she could tell so violently while putting on dainty gloves.

Soon, we pulled up to the church and parked. I got out, brushing off my jacket. We went through the grand front doors. The whole building looked like a church from the wedding at the end of Enchanted. There was stained glass windows on most walls, and on the ceiling which let colors splay across the pews. There was a big cross on a point sticking up so high it made me think that who ever built the church wanted to brag and say 'we are better Christians than you' to neighboring towns.

I opened the wooden door, holding it for my Mother and Father who passed in front of me.

My mother went straight to the pews to check and make sure that they are clean. My dad went to the office in the back to print out the bulletins for today.

I just kind of ditzed around waiting for someone to show up.

The first to show up was an old lady, as per usual.

"Miss Graham, so good to see you!" I handed a peice if paper to her and she smiles up at me.

"You too darlin, you look quite handsome today, trying to impress some one?"

I smiled at her, she really called it. O didn't want her to get the wrong idea though so I said "No, I'm afraid that I'm not trying to impress any of the girls here"

Miss Graham reached in for a hug, which unfortunately many of the people in this town do, "Doesn't have to be a girl, dearie" she whispers into my ear and I smile.

When she starts to walk away she turns behind her and winks over her shoulder at me and I grin.

A bunch of other people come in, many being old ladies who smell like bad perfume when I hug them, others teenagers who give me nasty looks.

One of the last couple of families who come in the Hendersons. When Devin opens the door he calmly walks up to me and shakes my hand. I can feel my parents eyes on us so I try to act platonic and not stare desperately at his beautiful face and godly body.

He wore a light orange shirt with tan pants and sneakers. His coat hung off his shoulders nicely to show how broad his shoulders are.

"How are you?" I ask.

"Pretty good, what about you?"

"I'm also good."

"That's good" I try not to laugh at Devin's tone.

"Well, I'll see you inside" I say as I see his parents turn to leave.

"See you later Jackson"

I smile as he walks away, turning his head at me a couple times as he does.

As the last of the stragglers come in, o a ant shake Devin's smile from my thoughts.

Once I sit down, I realize that my mom sat down right next to Devin's parents , leaving Devin's and I on opposite sides of the same pew.

I sigh, as it'll make it hard for me and him to mouth stuff at each other without being obvious. I turn my head and get ready for a boring hour.

About twenty minutes I to the sermon, I get up to go to the bathroom, smiling and nodding to people on my way out. A couple of turns later, I'm in the men's empty bathroom.

When I finish, and am washing my hands I hear the door open and look up in the mirror.

Devin smiles and walks up next to after looking under the stall doors.

"Are we alone?" He whispers and I nod, furrowing my eyebrows.

Why would it matter if we were alo-

His lips crash into mine, and the air is sucked from my body. One of his hands in in my hair, playing with it and slightly tugging. His lips move with mine in sync, and when he slightly bites into my bottom lip I groan.

I didn't to make a sound, and my eyes squeeze shut from embarrassment but I feel Devin smile into my lips, which are still pushing against his.

I pull away first, needing to catch my breath. "Wow" I heave out.

Devin just smirks at me, barely out of breath. I guess he has more experience in this than I do. To be fair, my only kiss was when I was drunk and with some random girl that I didn't know.

"You know," Devin starts, pulling my body flush against his, "I imagined what kissing you would be like, but I couldn't have come up with it being that good in a million years. You, babe, are a great kisser"

I blush, and bit my lip, "not as good as you."

Devin chuckled. "Well thank you," Devin leaned down and whispered into my ear, "but I could listen to you groan for the rest of my life and never get bored"

My blush got deeper, and I discussed need Devin's smile to tell. I could feel my face get hot.

"I love how reactive you are"

I bit my lip, Devin's words alone were making me all hot and bothered.

"Stooooooop" I said, even though I am smiling.

"You know, babe, we should probably get back. "

"We have to leave staggered though"

Devin nodded, "Okay, you go first because I left after you"

I nodded, but before I left and tipped my head down and pecked Devin on the lips.

I rushed out the door, but stopped to collect my self before entering the main part of the church again.
