While I slept I began to dream. It was a dream like none other I've ever had. I can see nothing but fog all around me. I feel somebody's presence. My dad. He's yelling something. I can't tell what it is. His lips I read Go! Run! It's not safe! Go! I can't move.  Suddenly a gunshot echoed through the area. My father  falls, there was silence. Suddenly I could see him clear as day. A large figure, like none other seen before. I could hear evil laughter. "Run puppy, but you can't hide." the figure says. Then he laughs again. Fear creeps through my heart. Then that fear turns to anger. Using what strength I could muster up I began to growl so greusomely, I can't believe it's me. A gunshot echoed again.  This time it's directed toward me.  I awake suddenly, howling from invisible pain. I did it twice more before I realized what was going on. A couple minutes after my howls one of the females of whatever pack I may be in so happened to come around and find me up wide awake and disoriented.

    "Awww, poor thing I guess alpha child had a nightmare. It's okay little guy, I'm here." she said with care. I could see her clearly. She appeared to be speaking silently. This as I presume was the beautiful white aplha female. Which meant that I'm definitely a puppy.

    She came over to lick my fur as if to cleanse me. It felt calming. I try to speak, barely able to say much."Where am I?" I managed to ask. "You're home sweetie."she said politely. Home, that sounds  ridiculous. But something deep inside me felt comfort.

    Later on I finally get a good view of my area as the sun greets me warmly. There are others  with me. One boy had golden fur and his father's beautiful green eyes, another, a thick brown coat and blue eyes like her mother , the third had beautiful white white fur that made me feel deeply jealous of such beauty he recieved. Me, I'm apparently a mixture of both. Greenish blue eyes with grey fur. Even my new mother says I'm unique. What's up with that?

    Then I just realized something, while I'm getting all comfortable with my current condition , I'm thinking "What the what?!!" Reality check! Is this all real? No, this can't be. It's just got to be some kind of joke. I can't be this. But its all so real. Then another thought hits  me, I haven't eaten since before I started to hike. I began to whimper. Apparently, everybody else of my new brothers and sisters did the same thing. The  female alpha was prepared for that

    She began to cuddle us all in a little ball and keep us warm for dad. Dad, wow do I ever have some questions for him. Seriously,why am I a weak and defenseless puppy? Why couldn't l just be my real age.
    Now, I'm restless. So I decide to do some eploring. As I walk outside I'm confronted by a concerned yip. "I'll be fine mommy, I'm not going far" I yap back. She goes silent for a second and finally gives me a whimper of approval.
     As I walked to explore I come in contact with him again. "How do you feel about home Luke?" he asked. Home? This place? I can't even bare to think about it. Then again, something deep inside me felt comfort. Deep down I knew I was home. "Just think, this is your home, your birth place Luke.I know it's  hard to believe, but it's true. It's been too long son. Walk with me, I'll get you something to eat." Still, I have no other choice but to comply. It's just too hard not to depend on others. So I'm just going to go with it.

    We begin to walk and I can't help but wonder something, " Why did you bring me here? If you're my dad, then explain" I said. "You were born with special qualities that would save us all. I was threatened by the original alpha of our pack, for he knew the consequences behind your birth. He threatened to kill you. I couldn't let that happen. So that same day after I dropped you off,  I challenged him to a duel and won. I became alpha, but he plotted his revenge on all of us. To this day he has become alpha again for a pack of his own.  All of them rouges who were kicked out.  He will return soon." he said. " If all of this is true, then why me? I don't understand."I said . "In time, you will, just relax anf follow my lead." he responded.

    "Well this sucks." I mumbled to myself. "Shhh, stay low, walk slowly but not too slowly. You're about to learn how to hunt" he said in a near whisper. As soon as he said that I could see a huge deer grazing in the nearby field. Hunger yelled "FOOD! FRESH MEAT!", my human side was yelling "NO! YOU'RE NOT A KILLER! I DON'T CARE HOW HUNGRY I AM, DON'T KILL, DON'T KILL, DON'T KILL! " My instinctual hunger took over though. It's just the call of the wolf. I can't explain it, but training to hunt feels natural to me.

    I can't help it. Instincts kicked in before I realized what I was doing.  My wolf father watched me prowl over to my meal. I'm only an infant,  but the blood rush said different. By the the time I was close, I had the element of surprise. Time to strike!

    And that's what I did. I jumped straight into the air and clenched my jaws on any flesh I could grap. Lucky for me, it was a leg. The deer let out a funny scream and kicked me off. I land in the mud. Eww, yuck! Come on Luke,  shake it off. My handy work provided a funny taste in my mouth. Ah venison, the taste of victory.

    My wolf father took care of the rest slashing open the crippled thing's neck. Now it was time to feast like a king. Not until we brought our catch back home.

     "Well would you look at our strong little fella. You're going to make a great alpha Luke. "said mommy aplha. "Thanks mommy." I say cheerily proud of myself. I'm growing and learning. One of my brothers got a little playful after we ate. We're fully energized and happy, so playfulness is an option. I play with him for a while and enjoy myself. Then for the first time ever I discover   my tail by accident. I can't help but chase it playfully. Ever more the reason for my new parents to laugh as I play alongside my brothers and sisters.

    But suddenly, things turned to the worst as suddenly my dream seems to come true. There was a gunshot. Suddenly, everything seemed to happen at once. "We only need the kids. Kill the others. Find the alpha and kill him!" Yelled somebody off in the  distance. "I'll be gone for while kids. Take the pups to the safe place Darla, you know the drill until we're safe. Go!" said alpha wolf. Just like that we were all picked up and and headed some kindof place. Until just like that mom gets snared by a net. I fall out and tumble with one of my sisters.

    "Go Luke go! Theyre coming!" barked mom. I didn't move. Tears entered my heavy eyes as I stared at mom in disbelief. "Go!" she yelps with more ferocity. Reluctantly, my sister and I tumble into the greenery.

    I couldn't bare the sight of leaving my mom I just couldn't ,  but I had to go. It was too hard to look back as I ran alongside my sister . Then, my apparent worst fear came true.

    Blam! rang out through the area. There was a yelp then silence. My heart grew extremely heavy. It became harder and harder to run. I"It's not true,  It's not true, it's not true. " I kept on chanting to myself. But I knew,  it would be hard to believe that . My dad is dead.  Again.

    Do you know how bad that feels? Then, I could hear something else. Footsteps. They were trailing after us and gaining.
