Killian

I was in my room on the ship, drawing on a piece of paper. All night long, I couldn't get Emma out of my head. Her image was stuck in my brain, and I wanted to let it go. And the easiest way was to do the thing I am best at. Draw it.

Hours went by, and I was still playing around with the pencil on the paper, finishing the drawing and looking proud at it, like the most precious thing I owned.

Someone knocked on the door,and Liam appeared on the doorway. I hide fast the piece of paper and shove it under some old papers from the navy.

,,Brother,what are you hiding?" He asks,jokingly.

,,What are you talking about? Nothing." I smile and roll my eyes, but he laughs.

,,You know I like your drawings." He says, taking the paper out of the rest.

,,Killian,this is..." He says, shocked and stoned. I just sigh and take it from his hands.

,,It's just an image I got to see at the castle." I say, throwing the drawing around the room,and it fells on my bed.

,,Brother, that was the most beautiful and real drawing you've ever made." He says, proudly, as he pat my back.

,,Liam-" I try to say,but he stops me.

,,It's the princess,isn't it? Emma?" He asks,and I just look at him,surprised. Of course he knew. He probably saw her on the other meeting.

,,Killian,are you having a crush?" He asks,laughing,as I roll my eyes.

,,Gosh,Liam,you're so annoying." I say, hitting him in the arm and he leaves the door.

,,Maybe you can go grab some food. The crew is starving." He adds,screaming from outside.

,,Aye,aye, Captain." I mumble for myself, and take my bow and arrows in case the market was empty."

Emma

The swords were making a high sound as I tried to hit harder,but my father avoided the blade. I try to find my strenght,and switch his sword,so I could win, and eventually I do it.

,,Emma, you're getting better at this." He says, as I dry my forehead with my wrist.

,,Thanks,dad." I throw the blade to drink a glass of water as my mom is getting inside the room.

,,Emma" She says, clearly offensed. ,,You are supposed to be a princess,elegant and gracious." She points,and my dad is almost bursting into laugh.

,,Charming." My dad stops and nods,still amused by the scene.

,,When I found I was having a daughter,I thought we will have ballet lessons together, talk about dresses,balls and even boys.Not for her to become one." She says mad and I sigh.

,,Mom, I am princess,but I need to protect myself." My dad steps next to me and puts his arms around my mom's shoulders.

,,Snow, I think you're overreacting.I always wanted a boy, and as long as I didn't have one,at least I can teach Emma." He says, hugging her.

,,I know, Charming, it's just that ...I don't want her to leave the life I had."

,,Mom" I embrace her too. ,,We both know that the Evil Queen is still walking around,and I need to know how to protect myself." She smiles with half of her mouth and I hug her tighter.

,,At least, train with the woman's weapon,darling." She says, picking a bow and some arrows from the arsenal. ,,The bow and arrow."

My mom left me in the woods after showing me some moves , and everything I had to do. I choose my position next to some bushes and stand still. I stay quiet for a few moments, to see if I can find a target. After a few moments, I just shoot trees, and the arrows go in every single one of them.
After almost an hour, I hear crackling,and I look around, hearing that the sound comes from behind a tree. I take an arrow, put it on the string and wait. When I saw it was a human, my arrow left the string,but,fortunately,it didn't hit its target.

,,God,Emma,you almost took my head off." I hear a voice I know and see Killian coming out in my vision.

,,Killian?" I put my hand on my mouth,and he was laughing.,,Oh my god, I didn't wanted to..."

,,It's okay,princess." He says, coming straight to me.

,,What does a princess so beautiful like you wandering the woods?" He asks. I giggle.

,,Shooting lesson." I show him the bow and he laughs. ,,It's my first one."

,,Thank God for me that you're not a good shooter yet." He says, and I laugh with all my heart.

,,What are you doing here anyways? The docks are far away." I say and he shows his bow and arrow I didn't notice before.

,,Hunting. The market was clear and I havr to fill in some empty stomachs back on our ship.Including my own." I look at him, understanding how hard it must be for him to get food for an entire crew by himself.,,You know, not all of us are royal." He adds,and I feel my heart shattered.

,,Can I help you with the hunting,so I could practice my skills?" I ask and he nods.

,,You're lucky I use the bow for years now. Me and my brother,we weren't always Captain and Lieutenant." He says, and I smile sadly. ,,You're going to have a good teacher."

After a while of shooting and hunting, I hear something and jump in fright. Killians notices my fear and I simply take his hand, and hide us in the bushes.

,,Emma,what it is?" He asks and I put my finger on my lips, showing him to be quiet.

Suddenly, a woman appears in the way and I recognize her from my mother's drawing with her and my grandfather. The Evil Queen.
