Sam POV

It was the next day and we were all slowly waking up at the sound of our alarm clocks signalling that we need to get up for school. Everyone made an annoyed sound and we finally had the strength to stand up and get ready.

When I got ready I made some quick sandwiches for everyone and once everyone was ready and has eaten, we all headed to school.

“Yesterday was fun, we should do it again some day” Luke said suddenly, breaking the silence that we all held from being tired.

“That would be good actually” Vicky replied and we all nodded.

Finally we arrived at the school and everyone seemed to have acted strangely.

“Did you see the new guy? He is so hot!” a girl whispered to one of her friends when I walked past them.

New person ?

“Strange. Everyone is talking about some new guy” I said and everyone looked confused as we stopped by our lockers.

“I wonder who this might be. I mean we basically just got Luke and now there is another new person” Rach said and Luke looked slightly annoyed which confused me.

“Hey Luke, what’s up with you?” I asked and he looked at me, surprised a bit that I noticed his expression.

“This guy is already popular with the ladies and he hasn’t been here for even minute yet. No girl whispered about me when I came here as a new person” Luke said and we all laughed at him.

“Thomas Nekton, please come to the front office” a voice came from the speakers of our head teacher and we all looked confused and then looked at Thomas who was also pretty confused.

“Are you in trouble or something ?” Felix asked looking at him and he looked back at Felix and shook his head.

“No, he’s probably the person who’s going to show the new person around, that’s way more logical” Gemini replied with a-matter-of-fact tone.

“Oh goodness, I am the worst person for this but I guess I’ll see you guys soon then” Thomas said and he walked away and we waved at him to say goodbye.

Thomas POV

I walked away from the group and not even a minute later I arrived at the office, where the head teacher was waiting for me, and behind her someone was sitting on the chair, but I couldn’t see them clearly as the teacher was standing right in front of them.

“Hello Thomas, thank you for coming. I have called you here because we have actually gained another new student and I would love it if you could perhaps show the gentleman around. I thought you would be perfect for this role as you’ve been in his shoes just a year ago or so” the head teacher explained with a smile and I nodded in understanding and smiled politely down at her. She was slightly smaller than me so no wonder.

The person who was sitting stood up and looked at me while I looked at him. He was actually pretty taller than me. He had a chain around his neck and a purple shirt with dark blue jeans and brown hair to the side. He seemed like a chill looking guy.

“Go ahead and introduce yourself” the head teacher said excitedly and I smiled awkwardly.

“Hi I’m Thomas Nekton” I said and I extended my hand for him to shake it but instead he grinned at me and hugged me.

“It’s nice to meet you mate, I’m Jay, Jay Hawthorne, but usually people call me JJ” the guy replied in a very exciting voice while I was frozen not sure on how to respond to a sudden hug, so my hand stayed extended for a hand shake.

He finally let me go and chuckled at my confusion.

“Well nice meeting you too, so let me show you around” I said and the teacher nodded in satisfaction and walked away while I walked away with him to the corridors.

“So is this school boring and very much all about rules or is it chill” Jay asked and I looked at him while holding onto my arm bag.

“Well eh it’s pretty chill but not too much, it’s just the right balance” Thomas replied, in an awkward tone.

“Ah fair enough, so do you have any friends or are you the typical nerd rich boy with no time for friends ?” Jay asked and I looked at him in surprise and that kind of hurt.

“I do have friends actually, quite a lot of them, maybe you’ll have the pleasure of meeting them at some point today, but from what I’ve seen from your time table you have the first few periods with me only” I replied firmly and he chuckled and shrugged.

At lunch.

Me and Jay were walking down the corridor as I was showing him few other stuff to remember when he needed to get somewhere etc.

Before we arrived at the lunch area I accidently bumped into someone.

“Oh, sorry” I said quickly and when I looked up I saw no other than Sam herself.

“Oh Thomas, don’t worry about it, I wasn’t looking where I was going. Where is the new friend of yours?” Sam asked and I moved slightly out of the way and he looked at her and suddenly her eyes went wide.

“It’s you!” Sam said and Jay looked at her and laughed a bit.

“No way you go to this school? What a coincidence!” Jay said while chuckling and Sam smilied.

“Yeah, you were right, we are going to see each other again, like today for example” Sam said laughing and I was very confused.

“I’m sorry but what’s happening?” I asked, I really didn’t like what was happening here.

“Oh sorry, I know Jay because I bumped into him yesterday when I was on a walk” Sam replied and Jay smiled and I felt slight jealousy the way they were looking at each other but I replied in response.

Suddenly I saw Luke walking past on the criss-cross corridor and he waved at us and smiled and walked away disappearing behind a wall, and suddenly he came back with wide eyes.

“OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! JAY IS THAT REALLY YOU?!” Luke yelled looking at Jay shocked and Jay looked back and was in a super shock too.

“LUKE MY MATE I CAN’T BELIEVE ITS YOU!” Jay yelled back and they started running towards each other dramatically and I was even more confused but this time Sam joined me on this.

“I am sorry but what’s happening?” Sam asked, beating me to it.

“Sam don’t you remember Jay!? This guy! The trio!” Luke kept on yelling and it seemed like Sam clicked on as she gasped and put her hands on her mouth.

“Oh my goodness! No way that’s you JJ!!!” Sam said and she run up to them hugging them. I was just standing there in confusion.

Suddenly Vicky came by with Gemini and they all stopped hugging each other.

“Hey guys remember Jay, the guy who I told you guys that was part of my trio with Luke?” Sam asked Vicky and Gemini in excitement and they looked up at Jay and gasped and I stood there even more confused.

Then of course Alice and Felix came by and Alice was exited to see Jay as she actually enjoyed his company when they were little, or something like that. Sam said it so I am assuming it’s true.

I cleared my throat at them to get their attention as they completely forgot I was there and when they looked in my direction they looked confused as if they didn’t understand what was the problem.

“For your information I have no idea what’s happening” I said and everyone at each other and seemed a bit nervous because they forgot to tell me.

“Oops sorry Thomas, this is Jay my childhood best friend I use to hang out with that was basically best friends with Luke too” Sam replied and I nodded slowly, letting it all sink in.

After she said few things about how they met and all that we all walked to the lunch area and Sam and Luke had a big catch up with Jay.

I’m slightly glad he doesn’t have classes with me after lunch.

Sam POV

Finally the lunch finished and everyone walked their own ways, while me and Jay walked together as we had the same class.

“So how are you enjoying it here?” I asked and he looked down at me and chuckled.

“It’s pretty sound here not gonna lie. Especially since you and Luke are here it’s just perfect” Jay said and winked and I giggled.

“Well I am glad you are enjoying it, I was actually thinking of a road trip with the group and since you’re here you can tag along with us” I said with a smile and he nodded and smiled back.

“That would be awesome. I’ll go anywhere you go don’t worry” he replied with a smirk and I rolled eyes while giggling.

“Nice to hear” I replied and he chuckled.

We stood in front of the class and everyone were whispering either about their class or mostly him.
He looked around hearing what was happening and he chuckled and then leaned down and kissed my forehead.

“I’ve missed you a lot” Jay said and smiled while I looked up and smiled back slightly blushing.

“I’ve misses you too” I replied and he leaned against the wall and grinned widely at me.

This year just became much better. But once again I was scared to tell Jay about my powers. And it bugs me on why Thomas was acting so strangely today.

Suddenly I saw a hand waving in front of my face and Jay looked at me a bit worriedly, probably because I didn’t respond for a straight 2 minutes.

“You okay sugar cube?” asked Jay and I looked up at him and smiled.

“Yeah just thinking. Was worried that I may have had homework but it’s all good because I don’t actually” I replied and he nodded but I could tell he wasn’t convinced.

This was going to be a longer year than I thought.
