Scott's Perspective-

Scott looked around as he arrived at the gym.

I wonder where Martyn is...

The bell rang and Scott bit his lip.

Maybe he's just late?

Training started and Scott got worried.

Okay, he's not late...maybe he's sick?

Scott checked his phone for any messages from Martyn, but he had 0 notifications.

Something's up, I wonder what happened. He has been acting really weird recently but...maybe it has to do with his brother's death?

Throughout the day, Scott felt worried about Martyn.

After school, Scott ran over to Martyn's house to check on him.

Martyn's parents also seemed a bit worried about Martyn.

"He hasn't come out of his room at all." Martyn's mother said, "I've heard some quiet sobs from him but whenever we try to help, he just shouts."

"Maybe I can help?" Scott said, a bit worried as he walked up to Martyn's room.

He tried to turn the knob, but it was locked.

"Martyn?" Scott knocked on the door.

Scott heard Martyn quietly gasp.

"Scott?" Martyn asked, his voice shaking.

"Yeah, it's Scott. Can you unlock the door?"

"U-umm...just give me a second."

Scott heard some shuffling noises along with the sound of broken glass and Martyn whispering,

"Ow."

Scott's fear spiked.

"Martyn? Are you okay? What are you doing? Please tell me you're not trying to hurt yourself."

"What? No! I'm not doing that! I'm just cleaning up some glass that I uh- broke earlier. I accidentally knocked it to the floor."

Martyn soon opened the door and Scott hugged him tightly.

Martyn's eyes widened and he hugged back, crying.

"Hey, what's wrong? Is everything okay?" Scott asked quietly.

"I don't know anymore." Martyn said through his tears, "Everything's falling apart, I did something I never even knew I could do before, and now I'm just confused and scared."

"It's okay to be scared, but...what do you mean you did something you never did before?"

"I- umm..."

"Martyn...come on, this is one of the times you need to let someone into your life. You've been acting so weird recently and now you're going through something big and still trying to block me out."

Scott sighed and gently held Martyn's hands.

"You have to trust me, Martyn."

Martyn blushed a bit and nodded.

"Your hourglass broke?! I thought you said the doctors made it so it could never break."

"Yeah, it's supposed to be invincible, but..." Martyn picked up his trash can which had broken glass in it.

"Oh my cod..." Scott whispered, looking at the broken glass.

"This...are your powers...gone?" He asked, glancing up at Martyn.

"I don't know..." Martyn whispered.

Scott's eyes widened and he looked worried.

"I don't know...it's probably fine." Martyn shrugged and Scott shook his head.

"Martyn, you need to tell your parents about this. What if your powers are gone for good? What if the only way to fix it is if you get a new hourglass?"

Martyn sighed, "Alright, let's go tell my parents."

Scott smiled and hugged Martyn again.

"H-hey, what's the hug for?" Martyn asked, a bit tense.

"As a thank you for trusting me." Scott whispered and Martyn blushed.

He stared at Scott before his impulse took over and he gently pressed his lips against Scott's.
