I'm so sorry for not posting last week but a lot of irl stuff went down and I was just in such a bad headspace. I'm all better. now so don't worry, and I'll update this story twice to make up for it! Enjoy :DDD

Scott's Perspective-

"Hey Scott!" Jimmy smiled as Scott sat next to him at lunch.

Jimmy was a friend of Scott and Martyn's, and his superhero partner was Tango. Jimmy was very...reckless to say the least. He often spoke without thinking and was clumsy, yet he was also very kind and funny.

"Hey Jim." Scott smiled a bit, "How's your practice going with Tango?"

Jimmy's smile faded and he shrugged.

"I don't know...I still feel like I'm a burden to Tango, you know? He's super smart and cool and I feel like I'm dragging him down by being so stupid."

"You're not stupid." Scott said, "You just have a different way of thinking."

"Face it, Scott. Tango's way smarter than I'll ever be. And he's been stuck with me, the dimmest of all people to try and train and learn to be a superhero with."

Scott looked worried for his friend and Jimmy sighed.

"Anyway...umm, how's your training with Martyn?" Jimmy asked.

"I'm not really sure. I think it's good, but Martyn's acting weird. He told me he had something he needed to tell me, and he looked on the verge of tears and when I asked him about it, he said he was fine and left. I have no idea what happened, and I feel like maybe I'm doing something wrong?"

Jimmy chuckled, "Seems like we're stuck in the same boat, huh?"

Scott smiled, "Yeah...seems like we are."

They smiled at each other, and Scott felt a connection. He then realized something.

"Hey, maybe the coach accidentally put us with the wrong person. We both don't think we click with our partners, maybe..." Scott felt himself blush and he smiled nervously before continuing, "Maybe we're meant to be together."

Jimmy's ears flushed red, and he looked up at Scott.

"You really think so?"

Scott nods.

Jimmy smiles sheepishly.

"Yeah, m-maybe we were."

Scott and Jimmy both smiled at each other, hope in their eyes.

Martyn's Perspective (it's now present day btw)-

"Jimmy and Scott soon started to hang out every day.

It made me furious to see Scott so happy with someone else. I felt lost and overwhelmed.

I was stressed and couldn't focus. I couldn't control how much I loved and cared about Scott.

I couldn't control how much hate Scott was giving me whenever I saw him laugh and smile around Jimmy.

It made me feel useless. Like I was nothing to him. And I never was anything.

I knew I had missed my chance to be with him.

Face it Martyn, I would tell myself, Scott's never seen you as anything more than a friend."

"Wait, wait, wait." Scar interrupted Martyn, "I thought you said Scott was your boyfriend."

"He is." Marytn said, nodding.

Scar looked confused.

"Then how did..." Scar was puzzled.

"I'm getting to that." Martyn said before continuing his story.

"I felt things start to fall apart. And as Grian knows, when your head isn't in the right place, you lose control over your powers. Things get out of your control, and your feelings of stress and worry take over."
