B's Perspective-

"Hey B!" Tabes smiled as she walked over to her friend.

B smiled up at their friend before turning back to the hourglass they were working on.

"I assume you figured out a way to help Martyn?" Tabes asked, sitting down next to B.

B nodded, "Yeah. I bought this hourglass and figured out how to make a coating so it wouldn't break. But I'm not sure if it'll work."

"I'm sure it will, you made it after all, and you always put everything you got into something you're passionate about."

B blushed a bit and smiled.

"Thanks." They said and Tabes smiled.

"Uh- hey, can I tell you something that's been on my mind for a bit?" B asked, blushing a bit more.

"Later, come on, let's go help Martyn." Tabes got up and walked to the library door.

B's smile faded a bit, but they packed up their stuff and followed Tabes out.

"Okay Martyn, try and freeze time." B said, setting the hourglass down onto the table.

Martyn nodded and took a deep breath before turning the hourglass and focusing on stopping time for a minute.

B saw Martyn peek his eye open and he sighed.

"No use."

"Dammit!" B banged her hand against the table, "I wonder what I did wrong..."

"Hey, don't worry about it. I appreciate you doing this." Martyn said, though you could hear his disappointment.

B nodded and tried to smile.

Later, B was alone and tinkering with the hourglass.

Scott saw them and sat down.

"Hey." He said and B nodded, not even glancing at him.

"Thanks for doing this for Martyn, it really means a lot to me." Scott said.

"Oh- yeah, sure."

The two sat in silence before B set down their tools and looked up at Scott.

"Are you and Martyn dating?"

Scott blushed and looked down.

"Uhhh...yes? I don't know...we haven't really talked about as we've been caught up in this."

B nods and they turn to the books that were on the table.

They picked up the book and stared at the title. They let the information sink in before turning back to the hourglass.

They picked it up and then gasped, causing Scott to jump.

"What? Is something wrong?"

"I just figured it out! Come on!" They grabbed Scott's hand and the hourglass before running off.

Martyn's Perspective-

Martyn was walking home, listening to his music, when he saw B and Scott sitting on his porch.

"What are you guys doing here?" He asked, taking off his headphones and putting them around his neck.

B smiled and they ran up to Martyn and handed him an hourglass.

"I figured it out!"

Martyn smiled, "What? You did? Thanks so much!"

B smiles and nods.

They explained how Martyn could still accidentally travel back in time and what must've happened was that he had gotten all caught up on his emotions and bad memories that he traveled back to those times.

"So this should recover your powers, yet it won't stop you from getting caught up in your emotions and traveling back in time."

"But...but why did I travel back to the time with the pirates and the sirens?"

B hummed, tapping their finger on their chin.

"Well what exactly happened there, again?"

"Er- it was my ancestors fighting sirens."

"Maybe it's tied to you somehow. I don't know."

Martyn nods and he gently takes the hourglass.

He takes a deep breath before spinning it.

He peeked his eye open and cheered as he saw that he froze time.

"YES!" He fist bumped, none the wiser of what that pirate vs siren time was telling him.
