Just a Couple of Nutter's

When the Great Hall let out Harry and I separated from our friends and walked back to the Gryffindor common room together. I knew Harry was much to invested inside whatever was going through his head at the moment. I pulled out the note from my pocket. Luckily he didn't write his name on it anyway, so it wouldn't matter if anyone saw it.

Meet me tonight on the Astronomy Tower at 11 pm.

I folded the note back up and placed it in my pocket again. We got to our destination and the Fat Lady looked down at us.

"Password?"

"Err..." Harry and I mumbled and looked at each other. Clearly we weren't paying attention when they told us the password.

"No password, no admittance." She sternly said to us.

"Wait!" Neville's voice echoed behind us. He jogged up with a grin across his face. "I know it. And I'll actually be able to remember it this year!" Neville's said excitedly. "It's Mimbulus Mimbletonia!" He proudly showed us his plant and the Fat Lady nodded.

"Correct." She stated and the door opened.

The three of us walked into the doorway. Neville took a seat near his friends and we received many more stares from the other Gryffindor's. A good portion of them had the Daily Prophet in their hands and the happy chatter dulled to a whisper, and then became nonexistent the further we walked into the room. Two of our friends since we had come here stared at us the hardest.

"Hello, Dean, Seamus." I greeted them both near the stairs to the dormitories. They sat there with papers in their hands at the table closest to us.

"Hi, Olivia." Dean greeted me back cautiously.

"Dean, Seamus, good holiday?" Harry asked the two politely.

"All right." Dean answered again and looked back at his best friend. "Better than Seamus' anyway."

"Oh." I said nervously. "What, uh, happened?" I asked, pursing my lips together anxiously.

Seamus glared at the both of us and stood up abruptly, tossing down the paper on the table.

"Me mam didn't want me to come back this year." Seamus spat. I frowned at his tone and I felt the rush of anger vaguely fill me up. We were both trying too be polite, there was no reason to get hostile.

"Why not?" Harry replied curiously. Doing his best to stay polite as possible.

"Uh, Let me see, eh, because of the two of you." Seamus said angrily. That was it, the pot bubbled over in an instant.

"Let me guess, because of the Daily Prophet?" I asked through gritted teeth and pointed at the paper he'd thrown onto the table.

"The Daily Prophet's been saying a lot of things about you both, Olivia, Harry. And about Dumbledore as well." Seamus explained as though that justified anything.

Every head in the room turned to look at us all. Usually i'd try to stop something like this so it wouldn't escalate in front of other's eyes and ears, but I simply didn't care.

"What, and your Mum believes them?" Harry scoffed angrily.

"Well, no body was there the night that Cedric died." Seamus shot back.

"So that automatically proves for us to be liars then?" I scoffed heavily.

"Well, I guess you should just read the Prophet then, like your stupid Mother. It'll tell you everything you need to know!" Harry spat.

"Don't you dare talk about my mother like that!" Seamus shouted.

"We'll have a go at anyone that calls us liars!" I shouted back. Before I knew it my wand was in my hand, out of my pocket, pointed at Seamus.

"What's going on?" Ron asked as he entered the room.

Ron noticed my stance, wand raised against Seamus. Fred had jumped up from his seat near me, slowly moving in front of Seamus. He placed a hand on my wand gently and pushed down, shaking his head ever so slightly that no one but me would have caught it. I looked up at his face, seeing the look in his eyes and felt my shoulders heaving heavily. It made me snap out of the anger and look at him worriedly. I hated this, I hated feeling this way all the time. While I was focused on Fred and backing away, Seamus snapped.

"She's positively mad, she is! They both are! That's what's going on!" Seamus accused. "Do you believe the rubbish they're spouting about You-Know-Who?"

"Yeah, I do." Ron stated firmly. Fred pushed me back gently into Ron. His hand latched onto mine quickly and squeezed, helping me calm a bit more. "Does anyone else got a problem with Harry or Olivia?" Ron asked angrily.

"My Gran says it's rubbish." Neville piped up in support of Harry and I. "She says the Prophet's gone down hill, not Dumbledore. She's even cancelled our prescription. So, I believe Harry and Olivia." He finished simply. I couldn't have been more grateful to him at the moment.

Harry turned still fuming and walked up the stairway. Ron glared at the room and tugged my hand, pulling us up the stairs after my brother. I let go of Ron's hand and jogged up the stairs an bit faster after him. I touched his shoulder and he gave me a look to say he was fine. I nodded at him and squeezed by to get to the girls dormitory.

"Thank you." I whispered quietly to Ron as I passed with my head down.

I wanted out of my robes and into regular clothing so I could get to the Astronomy Tower. As I entered the room the girls went silent as the sight of me. I kept my head down and went straight over to my bed and into my trunk.

"You look really angry about something." Hermione whispered as she approached my side.

"I'm fine." I stated clearly, shaking my head.

"Fine." Lavender scoffed quietly on her bed, like she was intentionally whispering, but loud enough for me to hear her. "More like off your trolley if you ask me."

"Excuse me?" I whipped around and looked at her. "You want to run that by me a little louder this time, Lav?" I spat.

"Oh, of course, your highness." Lavender stood from her bed and gave me a sickly grin. "I said you are off your trolley. Lying about You-Know-Who. You've always been a attention seeking prat, haven't you? Ever since you got here, everything's always about Olivia Potter, the girl that lived." She mocked bitterly.

"Shut your big fat mouth, Lavender." Hermione shot back at her.

"Just shut up about things you know nothing about." Ginny scoffed angrily.

I lunged for her quickly, only to be held back by Ginny and Hermione. Lavender looked terrified for a moment, but then a smug look came across her face.

"Let me go." I growled as fought their grip.

"No, calm down." Ginny said gently.

She and Hermione nearly carried me from the room and shut the door behind us. I ripped my arms from their grips and glared at the both of them.

"I don't need rescuing all the time!" I shouted at them both. They flinched but didn't back down, or say anything against me.

I marched away from them and over towards the boys dormitories. I charged inside where Harry and Ron were. It seemed as though they had just finished having a talk as well. Harry's shoulders moved up and down with his heavy breaths.

"Give me the cloak." I demanded. Harry looked at me surprised and then narrowed his eyes.

"Why?"

"Because, Harry. I need it. Just give it to me."

"Where are you going?" He scoffed as he looked through his chest.

"Yeah, it's getting late..." Ron said softly.

"I just need some air before I accidentally blow someone up or worse. So, please, just hurry." I huffed. Harry gave me a look of knowing, feeling the anger rushing through us both. He gave me the cloak and his face change dramatically. "Thank you. And I'm sorry for shouting." I whispered. My anger subsiding. My head twitched to the side as I felt the anger, like it was trying to come back through, but I fought it.

"I can come with you." Harry offered softly. I noticed his head do a small twitch of it's own. "I could use some fresh air too."

"No, no. I-I need to be alone." I assured him quickly and rushed out of the room.

I dashed out of the common room before I could be questioned by any one or confronted again. I flung the cloak over my body after leaving the doorway and headed to the Astronomy tower. For almost an hour I sat on the edge of the open wall, dangling my feet and hanging on the railing. Waiting for Malfoy to show up. The air really did do me good and I felt myself calm completely. I stared up at the stars from the big open wall into the night sky.

"Don't tell me you're thinking about throwing yourself off the Astronomy Tower already." Malfoy joked and his voice echoed across the room.

"Eh, it's sounding pretty good right about now." I shrugged and didn't turn back to look at him. I felt him come and take a seat next to me, just staring up at the stars with me.

"What happened?" He asked gently after a moment.

"Every one think's Harry and I are a couple of nutter's, remember? You said so yourself." I hissed, still not bothering to look at him.

"All right, you know that wasn't aimed at you. Besides, I have to ..."

"Keep up appearances. I know." I growled. I took a deep breath and put my head in my hands. "Maybe we shouldn't be friends anyway. I'll probably end up pushing you away, seeing as apparently that's what I'm good at."

"Now, hang on a minute." Draco scoffed. "Who said we were friends?"

"Screw you." I furrowed my brow at him and tried to stand. Draco's hand grabbed mine and pulled me back down to the ground.

"All right, you need to relax. It was a joke, Vi." Draco said sternly. "I'm not about to walk around on eggshells around you, so if that's what you want then maybe you're right. We shouldn't be friends. But, I'm not going to give up that easily. You need to let yourself have someone in your corner. Someone who's not going to hold back on you, treat you as you deserve and give you the honest truth even if it hurts."

"I-I..." I tried to think of anything to argue back, but I just couldn't. I sighed. "I-I'm sorry."

"That's better. More like the Olivia, I've come to enjoy. Now, tell me what's been going on." Draco insisted firmly.

I explained everything from what happened in the Common Room, my anger issues, to the dementor attack, to last year. Obviously leaving out the Order of the Phoenix stuff. And Draco Malfoy listened intensely to every word I said. Nodding along quietly, just allowing me the moment to rant.

"Draco, can I tell you or more like ask you something in confidence..." I asked quietly.

"Course." He nodded.

"Last year, you know I'm not lying about it all, right?" I asked and he nodded. "Well, in that moment in the grave yard, there was a lot of people there... And one of them, well, I, uh, I saw and it worried me, about you..." I pursed my lips and narrowed my eyes at him worriedly.

"Ah, you know then." Draco sighed and ran his hand through his slicked back platinum blonde hair. I nodded. "I'm not like him all right. He doesn't even know we're friends." He scoffed angrily.

"I know that." I said defensively. "I said I was worried about you. Knowing what your father is. I-I don't want to see you become one too. I've seen how he treats you, and the relationship you two share. I don't have parent's, but I know that's not how you're suppose to treat your children."

"I'm glad to know your worried, Vi. But it's pointless. I swear, I'd never willingly become a Death Eater." He whispered the last words ever so quietly. "Plus, my mother isn't all that bad. Rather nice, actually. She'd probably love you." He cracked a smile and nudged my shoulder. I shook my head and let out a small laugh.

"Yeah, invite me, of all people over sometime." I joked and he let out a small chuckle.

"Actually, she knows you and I are friends. She swore not to tell anyone. She really would like you, Vi. Maybe, one day, you'll get to meet her. And friend to friend, do not go around telling anyone about my father." He said sternly, to which I nodded.

"I'd never tell anyone. But if he gets caught, that's not on me." I gave him a pointed look. "Let's swear right now, that no matter what else unfolds in the future, we stick together. Nothing should tear us apart." I state firmly.

"Shake on it." He stated, sticking out his hand. I stuck out mine and we shook hands.

"Thank you for being the rational voice in my head. I know that's crazy to say." I chuckled. "But I'm glad your not planning on coddling me."

"Nah, coddling isn't my style." Draco chuckled. "You're going through something and that sucks. But, I'm here for you, Vi."
