The End of The Year.

Buckbeak reared up and ran, lifting from the ground into the night sky, with Sirius on his back. The three of us smiled happily at them and then the bell behind us began to chime.

"We have to go!" Hermione gasped realizing it was the bell for midnight.

The three of us ran inside the castle and dashed our way towards the hospital wing. Just barely before the last chime we came running through the hall, halting our steps quickly. Dumbledore was just exiting the hospital wing, he turned and gave us a stern and pointed look.

"Well?" He asked.

"He's free." Harry breathed heavily. "We did it."

"Did what? Goodnight." Dumbledore smiled and waved as he headed down the stairs humming happily.

Hermione and I pressed the doors open gently and just as the other three disappeared after using the time turner, we entered through the doorway. Ron, who was laying in the bed we left him in at the beginning of our journey looked at us all extremely confused.

"How did you get there? You were... I was just talking to you there." Ron whimpered. "And now you're there."

"What's he talking about, Harry, Hermione?" I asked with a grin.

"I don't know." Hermione smiled.

"Not a clue." Harry shook his head and grinned at our friend. "Honestly, Ron. How could somebody be in two places at once?" Harry joked.

Hermione and I began to giggle unable to keep them inside at Harry's horrible joke attempt. The next day, we were all allowed out of the hospital wing around noon. Hermione and Harry walked in front while I lagged behind with Ron.

"I can't believe you never told me before about the Time Turner." Ron said sourly.

"I'm sorry, we promised not too as part of the rules for using them. But since you saw us use it last night, of course we were going to tell you about it now." I said guiltily. "I know that doesn't make it better, and i'm sorry."

"Eh, it's fine." Ron breathed and I looked at his face surprised. "Explains a bloody hell of a lot, though. You nearly had me thinking I was going crazy all year." He joked and nudged my side.

"Sorry about that." I giggled. I thought about what I saw while watching our previous selves and I needed to ask him about it. Harry and Hermione stopped and talked with Hagrid. So it was the perfect time. "Hey, Ron?" I called out gently and stopped walking.

"Yeah?" Ron stopped and asked tilting his head.

"When... When we went back in time. The three of us saw the moment of you and I behind the pumpkins..." I cleared my throat nervously and so did Ron. His cheeks began to pink up. "I might be totally wrong here, and if I am we can totally pretended I never said a thing." I assured him quickly and he nodded. "But I can't help but notice the way we are around each other... I-I mean, we hold hands sometimes, and the way we act and look at each other. I was just hoping maybe, y-you knew what it meant?" I stuttered nervously. I wanted so badly to come out and tell him that I liked him hoping that much hunch about his feelings for me wasn't wrong. But it just wouldn't come out.

"Right, uh, I-I." Ron cleared his throat and stood taller with his crutches. He gazed down at me and his eyes sparkled. "Liv, I-I think I know what you're saying. And, um, I want you to know t-that I l-like..."

"Olivia!" Harry came running over interrupting Ron. The both of us huffed in annoyance and glared at him. "We have to go see Lupin!"

"Now? Can't it wait another minute?" I practically begged and he shook his head and grabbed my hand. I looked back at Ron apologetically as Harry pulled me through the halls.

Once they were out of sight I pulled myself from Harry's hand and we ran down the halls. Once we made it to the DADA classroom we walked up the stairs to the office where light music was coming from. We went to knock on the door and it opened. Professor Lupin's back was to us.

"Hello, Harry an Olivia." He greeted and turned to face us. We both looked at him a bit surprised. "I saw the both of you coming." He smiled as he pointed to the map that was laid out on the desk. I looked around the room and it appeared as though he was packing. "I've looked worse, believe me."

I looked up as Harry was staring at him. Lupin looked dreadful, fresh cuts over his face, probably from Buckbeak hitting him.

"Please tell me that you haven't been sacked." I begged as I walked further into the room.

"No. No. I resigned actually." Lupin explained gently.

"I was hoping Hagrid was wrong." Harry sighed. "Why have you resigned?"

"Well, it seems that someone let slip the nature of my condition. This time tomorrow, the owls will start arriving and parents will not want a, um, well, someone like me teaching their children. And after last night, I see their point. I could have bitten any one of you... That must never happen again." Lupin shook his head at the thought.

"But you're the best Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher we've ever had! Please, don't go." I begged. He gave me an appreciative glance.

"Exactly and Dumbledore..." Harry said as Professor Lupin interrupted him.

"Dumbledore has already risked enough on my behalf. Besides, people like me, um, well, let's just say that I'm used to it by now."

"So now we lose not only Sirius, but you as well." I said glumly. "It's like none of it made any difference."

"Didn't make any difference?" Lupin scoffed surprised. "Olivia, it made all the difference in the world. The both of you helped uncover the truth. You saved an innocent man from a terrible fate. It made a great deal of difference." He chuckled. "If I am proud of anything, it is of how much the both of you learned this year. I heard about what the two of you did from Dumbledore and I truly am proud of the both of you. Now, since I am no longer your teacher, I feel no guilt, whatsoever, about giving this back to you two. So now, I shall say goodbye, Harry an Olivia. I am sure that we will meet again sometime. Until then, Mischief Managed."

He waved his wand and the map disappeared, becoming just an empty piece of parchment. I rushed forward and wrapped my arms around him quickly trying to hold in my tears. Lupin seemed surprised at first, but held me quickly, allowing Harry to join in on the goodbye hug as well. He gathered his things and left the room. Harry grabbed the map and stuffed it in his robe pocket.

"So, Liv." Harry grinned cheekily at me as we made our way through the halls. "You and Ron?"

"What? No." I scoffed. "I was however trying to find about his feeling's before you so rudely interrupt by dragging me away."

"Sorry." Harry said sheepishly. "You know, I think he does like you. He talks about you a lot. And if he does... Well, I'd be okay with it. But he better not ever hurt you, or he'll have to deal with me." Harry stated proudly and I laughed.

"Oh, yes. All shall fear the wondrous, Harry Potter." I said sarcastically with a chuckle. "But really, Harry. Thank you. So, what were you thinking of when you cast your Patronus? I can't believe it's a Stag the same as Dad's."

"Everything really. You, Ron, Hermione, Sirius. All at once I suppose. Since you know, we don't have any really powerful happy memories, I guess putting all our smaller happy ones worked. How about you?"

"The same actually. How much I love all of you, each of you individually. I suppose that did work." I grinned.

Harry and I walked a bit further and made it into the Great Hall. Just outside the door we could hear Ron's voice.

"Stand back, all of you! Or-or I'll take it upstairs if you don't settle."

"Harry!" Neville came running over, greeting us by the doorway. "Wherever did you get it?"

"Can I have a go, Harry? After you of course!" Seamus asked.

"What are you talking about?" Harry questioned them both, while confused.

"Quiet!" Ron shouted as we approached. The chatter from all the students surrounding our table began to hush. "Let the man and woman through!" Harry and I pushed through the students finally reaching Ron. "Uh, I-I didn't mean to open it, Harry. It was badly wrapped... They made me do it!" Ron accused the twins.

"Did not!" They scoffed.

"Sure, Ronald." I chuckled and stood next to him as Harry approached the table. The little owl on the table seemed rather attached to Ron.

"Don't worry, Liv. You got something too." Hermione whispered as she leaned back into me, while I stood behind her. I just grinned at her and watched while Harry peeled back the wrappings.

Harry and I gasped as we saw what was inside the wrappings. A brand new broomstick.

"It's a Firebolt." Fred informed everyone around us.

"It's the fastest broom in the world." George confirmed delighted.

"For me?" Harry questioned. "But who sent it?"

"No one knows." Ron grinned at him knowingly.

Ron snuck his way beside me again and linked his fingers with mine giving them a bit of a squeeze. I looked up at him and it appeared rather than actual words, this was how he was relaying his feelings to me. I do believe Ronald Weasley likes me back. I squeezed his hand back and looked back at the others.

"This came with it." Hermione gave Harry a feather and pushed a letter into my pocket so the others couldn't see. Harry and I grinned widely at each other knowing it was from Sirius. She also moved another parcel around and handed it to me.

I opened it up and gasped quietly. Inside was a set of new books for me to read and a set of golden tipped Eagle quills, a rather expensive item I'd eye'd when we were in Diagon Alley earlier this year. They were beautiful and the feather's were pitch black, reminding of Sirius.

"Come on, Harry!"

"Let's go!"

"Yeah, let's see."

"How fast is it, Harry?"

Student all questioned around us, as we ran for the open courtyard of the school. Harry held the broom happily in his hand and began to mount it. He stopped and looked around and met my eyes, reaching out a hand towards me. I smiled and ran over to him, climbing on the back of the broom. Harry kicked off from the ground and we both screamed as the broom bolted into the air. Our screams then turned into happy laughter as we flew through the air.

Later that evening, in the common room by the fire I took out the letter and gave it a look with our friends.

Dear Harry and Olivia,

I hope this finds you before you leave Hogwarts and end up at your Aunt and Uncle's. Buckbeak and I are in hiding. I won't tell you where, in case this falls into the wrong hands. I have some doubt about an owl's reliability... Anyways, I hope you find the Firebolt, the books and quills as satisfactory gifts from a godfather that has missed 13 years of birthday presents.

I would also like to apologize for the fright I think I gave the both of you that night last year when you left your Aunt and Uncle's. I had only hoped to catch a glimpse of the both of you before I made my journey North, but I think the sight of me had alarmed you. I have also enclosed one more thing for the both of you within this letter. Hopefully it makes your Hogwarts experience next year that much more enjoyable.

If you should ever need me, just send word. Your owl's will find me. I'll write again soon.

Love, Sirius.

We looked at the second piece of paper and couldn't have been more overjoyed.

I, Sirius Black, Harry and Olivia Potter's Godfather, do hereby give them both permission to visit Hogsmeade on the weekends.

"Well, that'll be good enough for Dumbledore." Harry grinned.

"Wait, there's a ps." I said and read it out loud. "I thought your friend Ron might like to keep this owl, as it's my fault he no longer has a pet rat."

"No wonder the bloody bird won't leave me alone!" Ron gasped excitedly. The little owl had followed us around all day and was sitting on the perch in the common room, with Arwen and Hedwig."That's good enough for me. He's mine."
