Harry and Draco complied and stayed sitting next to each other on the bed, their hands linked together as they quietly talked to one another about possible reasons as to why it didn't cause them pain when the person bumped into them.

After a few minutes, Snape and Madame Pomphre walked into the room.

"Madame Pomphre here says that you two claim not to have felt any pain when someone bumped into you in Hogsmaid. It was an idiotic idea for you two to have gone there, to begin with, in case that happened and you did feel pain. You would have drawn attention to yourselves and shown anyone around you that doesn't like either of you your weakness." Snape stated as he glared at the two boys on the bed.

Draco bowed his head at that but Harry glared back at him.

"Yes, we know that, what we want to know now is why it didn't hurt us. That's why Madame Pomphre got you and that's why you're here. Not to sass at us about what we shouldn't have done. What's done is done and now we want to know why what didn't happen did." Harry snapped back shocking Draco and stunning Snape for a second.

"That is no way to talk to your professor!" Draco hissed as he looked at Harry, his eyes showing a hint of fear in them.

"Sorry, I just don't like when people get rude to me." Harry sighed before looking back at Snape.

"Please explain to us why we didn't feel any pain when the person bumped into us." He asked calmer this time for Draco's sake.

"Well, it's one of two options. One, the potion simply wore off sooner than we expected. Two, you two bonded in some way that the potion deemed close enough that it didn't need to assist anymore. It was a binding potion so once its job is over it has no more purpose." Snape explained making both Harry and Draco blush, knowing it was definitely the second option.

"Have you two tried to stop holding hands? Or to see if you two can go more than five feet away from each other?" Madam Pomphre asked having seen the two boys blush.

"No not yet, we didn't want to cause a scene in public in case it was just a weird one-time thing," Draco answered getting a nod in response.

"You two should try that now, just to make sure that it wasn't just a one-time occurrence," Snape stated as he took a few steps back from the bed.

They silently agreed before standing up.

They looked at each other before nodding and letting go of each other's hands.

Nothing happened, their hands grew cold but there was no pain.

"Good, now try walking to the other side of the room, Harry." Madam Pomphre said gently getting another nod from them.

Harry took a breath before walking away from Draco.

Once he reached the other side of the room he let his breath go and turned around to see everyone still where he left them.

"Great! The potion shouldn't affect you two anymore, your rooms can go back to normal if you wish or they can stay the same. That's up to you both." Madame Pomphre said with a gleeful smile.

"I would suggest you two go and inform your friends before Headmistress McGonagall informs everyone during lunch today." Snape drawled bringing their attention to him.

They nodded before leaving the room, their hands linking together once again, seemingly out of reflex now.

"Let's go find everyone and tell them the good news, do you think they are back by now or still in Hogsmaid?" Harry asked as he swung their hands together between them.

"There you two are!" Pansy yelled before Draco could reply.

"Nevermind then." Harry chuckled before he and Draco walked to meet their friends.

"What happened? Why did you need to talk to Snape?" Ron asked as they all began to walk as a large group now to their dorm rooms.

"Well this person bumped into Draco in Honeydukes and we didn't feel any pain. Because of that we got confused and asked Madame Pomphre and Snape why that happened and they said that we 'created a strong bond' so the potion wore off." Harry answered with a large grin.

"Wait so you're telling us that you two fucking and starting to date made the potion stop working?" Blaise asked with a chuckle.

"Yep." Draco chuckled back as they reached Harry and Draco's dorm room.

"Wait so the potion wore off? That means we can hug you and you won't get hurt?" Ron asked as Blaise shut the dorm door once they were all inside.

"Yep!" Harry answered before being tackled into a hug by Ron.

They both laughed as Harry hugged him back, his and Draco's hands unlocking as he did so.

Pansy hugged Draco on the left while Blaise hugged him on the right tightly.

"You know, as a person whose love language is physical touch, this was really difficult," Ron said as he pulled away from the hug.

"Yeah, I'm glad we can hug everyone again," Harry said as Ron sat down on Harry's bed, Harry sitting on Draco's bed.

"Oh, so you're saying I wasn't enough for you? I'm wounded!" Draco stated dramatically as Pansy and Blaise let go of their hug, joining Ron on Harry's bed.

"You're more than enough for me, I just like to give affection to all the people I care about, not just my boyfriend," Harry replied as he gently grabbed Draco's hands before pulling him down to sit in his lap.

Draco blushed darkly at the name 'boyfriend' and stayed quiet as the others laughed at how quickly he got flustered.

"So what should we do now?" Pansy asked and as if on queue, Ron's stomach growled.

"Get some lunch?" Ron suggested with a blush dusting his freckled face.

"Sounds good to me." Blaise agreed, the others agreed as well and they all left for the Great Hall.

"Oh, they are going to tell everyone about the whole situation being over during lunch so, yeah..." Harry said, trailing off at the end as the group sat down at the Slytherin table in their normal seats.

"That sucks, now people aren't going to go out of their way to make sure they don't bump into you," Pansy said as they all began to make themselves their plates of food.

"Yeah, at least we won't feel any real pain anymore." Draco shrugged before taking a bite of his sandwich.

Headmistress McGonagall tapped her wand on the table before bringing it up to her throat causing the entire hall to go silent.

"Attention all students, the mishap with Mr.Malfoy and Mr.Potter has been resolved earlier than we expected. They will no longer be in great pain if you touch either of them. If you intentionally hurt them or touch them when they don't want you to then you will be punished. That is all, enjoy the rest of your lunch." She said with a small smile before sitting back down in her seat. 

Nobody really had much of a reaction and continued on with their lunch as normal.

After lunch, McGonagall stopped the new couples before they could leave the Great Hall.

"Meet me in my office in ten minutes, I have some new information about Ms.Granger." Was all she said before walking away from the young adults.
