|CHAPTER 4|

"Mr.Collins! What are you doing here?"

"I should be asking you Ms.Diamond."

"I was just having a night out with my best friend. I was actually about to leave."

I saw his body go rigid for a moment before going before relaxing again.

"Already? Its barely 6 o'clock yet."

"Yeah but I just, I guess I just want to go home."

"I see. I assume you don't like parties?" he asked questioningly.

"Yeah, I guess."

"I bid you a goodnight, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Goodnight."

I had started to turn away when he reached out to grab my arm.

"You look beautiful by the way." He said.

"Thanks, goodnight."

I turned away as he stood there, and made my way to Madeline's car, but he didn't leave until several moments later.

*

"I'm sorry."

"You left me alone for almost an hour just because you were looking for drinks!" I shouted.

"I know, I met up with someone on the way back, and I guess I caught up in the moment."

"You certainly did." I muttered.

"I'm sorry." she said again.

"Stop apologizing, I forgive you." Giving her a small smile I looked out the window, just ready to get away from this party.

We rode back home in silence. Exiting her car, I bid her a quick goodnight, rushed into our apartment, stripped of my clothes, and went to sleep.

*

I woke up in the morning with Maddy gone, as usual, and immediately went to go to the shower and brushed my teeth.

I had dressed in a simple white buttoned shirt, blue dress pants, paired with a blue blazer. Running my hand through the material of the clothing, I took one last look in the mirror and headed out the room, grabbing my purse and phone on the way.

Stopping by the kitchen I grabbed a breakfast bar and headed out the door. I took a quick glance at the time.

6:45 a.m.

Perfect, I had enough time.

I got there in record time, 5 minutes, with barely any traffic.

I nodded to the receptionist lady and went straight into the elevator, pressing 54.

The door closed and I was left with my own thoughts.

I reached the 54th floor and almost immediately got bombarded by a lady.

"Are you Tiara Diamonds?" she snobbily asked.

"Yes."

"Follow me." she turned and started walking showing me the rooms, which one is which.

"This is the boss room, and you're right across from his office."

Opening the door with a key she pushed it open, handing me the key and was off with a quick, "Good luck."

I stepped inside the room in awe.

In the middle of the room lay the my desk, along with a computer, chair, telephone. I turned around and saw a multitude of cabinets, some already labeled, and my own bathroom.

I loved my job already.

I made my way straight to the chair and sat down looking around the room once more. How much money does this guy have?

"Ms.Diamond. Please report to my office, now."

Where did that come from? Snapping out of my thoughts, I jumped out of the chair and immediately headed straight to his office.

I knocked on the door before entering, hearing a 'come in' I twisted the doorknob and entered his office.

He looked up at me before saying, "I need these files done before you leave the office today."

I took the files from his hand, staring at it curiously.

"What am I supposed to do with the files?" I asked.

"Fax and scan them to the company listed on the files. It should be fairly easy or is it not?" His voice had a hard edge in it and as I looked into his eyes, they seemed to be void of any emotion.

Who pissed in his cereal?

"Well? Go!" he shouted.

"Y-Yes Sir." I left the room as fast as my legs could carry me.

Shutting the door behind me I went into my office.

I leaned against the door behind me, resting my head on it for a moment.

What was wrong with him?

Pushing away from the door, after a few seconds, I sat back in my chair typing away on the laptop, my mind drifting away from reality...

*

My eyes were drooping as I faxed the 56th file and sent it to the company. Mr.Collins had never bothered to check up on me, not that I wanted him too, and that snobby girl I had met had never even fully explained my job!

I leaned back in my chair, stretching my hands and rubbing my tired eyes.

My stomach growled loudly.

I guess I need to take a lunch break. I grabbed my purse, locking my computer and heading out the door.

Closing the door behind me, I came face to face with Mr.Collins.

He raised an eyebrow at me, "Going somewhere?"

"Yes, I was heading out for lunch."

Nodding his head he brushed past me to the elevator.

Rude much?

I stalled for some time so I wouldn't be in the same elevator as him. I leisurely walked at a slow pace, grabbing my phone out of my purse, and pretending to be on it.

As soon as the elevator door closed, I pressed the elevator button and got in.

A few minutes later I had exited the elevator and went to my car, starting it, and drove away.

Wingstop or Wingstop?

Wingstop it is.

Pulling up to the drive thru I ordered boneless wings, fries, and sprite for my drink. Getting the order I almost died when the heavenly scent reached my nose.

Controlling the urge to eat right now, I quickly drove away, of course after I paid, and went back to work.

With the Wingstop box in my hand I rushed to get back in my office so I could devour my meal in peace.

Pushing the button to the elevator, I went inside, the doors closing behind me.

"Hold the door!" Someone said frantically.

I hurriedly pressed the 'hold door' button, the person stepped inside muttering 'thanks'.

It was Mr.Collins.

And in his hand was a Wingstop box.

AYYYYY WHAT'S UP SQUADDDD!

BACK WITH ANOTHER UPDATE!

I hope I didn't make you guys hungry with the pic I added. 😀

I was originally going to update on Valentine's day... but a very sad tragedy happened.

17 people were killed and among the youngest were 14 year old teenagers.

Please pray for the kids and parents involved in the Florida school shooting. We all need to unite but we must unite from the bottom not from the top. We start from our neighbors, to our communities, to schools, to colleges, and even workplaces. We have so many opportunities but many people are not willing to take the risk.

"To survive in peace and harmony, united and strong, we must have one people, one nation, one flag." -Pauline Hanson

But the real question is, 'How do we get there?'
