By the time Madeline had came home, I had dressed up in some skinny jeans and a black t-shirt, and was lounging on the couch.

"Hey bestie! Oh-oh wow-um, are you mentally ill?" she asked giving me a once-over.

"Um, no why would you think so? I frowned.

"Honey, no no no! Come let me show you." Maddy said exasperatedly reaching her hand out.

I grabbed her hand and she pulled me into the bathroom to stand in front of the mirror.

"Look! This is a FASHION FAILURE, I repeat a FASHION FAILURE!"

"Ok, ok I get it, but what else am I supposed to wear?" I whined.

"Be right back." she said.

"Ok..."

I looked at myself in the mirror, I was fine right? I mean who actually dresses up at a party, definitely not me.

"Here, this is what you need to wear." Throwing the clothes at me, she smiled satisfactorily, before leaving the bathroom.

She had brought a yellow top, along with a yellow skirt. This may actually look good. Removing the clothes, I placed it on the counter, I put on the clothes Maddy had gave me.

Wow.

This was beautiful.

"Are you done yet! I want to see it!" Maddy shouted.

I winced involuntarily, I struck a quick pose before exiting the bathroom.

"OHHH MYYY GODDD!" Maddy screamed.

"Mad, I'm right in front of you, calm down."

"You look gorgeous, honey! Gosh, I would turn gay for you." she exclaimed.

"Ok I get it, it's almost 5 can we go now?"

"There's this thing called being fashionably late, come, let me do your hair and makeup"

"Fine." I muttered.

I sat out on the bed and Maddy scooted in behind me. She grabbed my hair pulling it up in the air. She looped my air around in a circle, making it into a bun.

"What about my shoes?" I asked.

"I'll get those for you, I just need to your make up."

"Ok."

Sitting up straight, Maddy came to stand in front of me tilting my head back to get better access to my face.

"Close your eyes."

She dabbed some makeup on my cheeks, forehead, and chin. Then she put on mascara and eyeliner.

"Open"

She carefully put mascara on the remaining part of my eyelashes thats she missed.

"Smile."

I smiled, keeping my lips closed as she put on chapstick, along with nude lipstick.

"I think I'm done. Here are the shoes." she handed some zaffre blue shoes.

"Thanks"

I put them on, and stood up, grabbing Maddy's arm for support for a second then walking to the bathroom. She trailed after me.

"Oh my god!" I said, shocked.

"I know! Now shoo! I need to go change!"

"Thanks Mad, and hurry up it's past 5!"

"I hear you."

Closing the door the door behind me I resumed my spot on the couch waiting for her to finish.

My eyes snapped to the clock for the ninth time.

"MADDY! ARE YOU FINISHED?!" I shouted exasperatedly.

"I'm coming, I'm coming gosh people these days"

"You look nice." Giving her a approving look. She usually goes way over the top when it comes to parties.

"I know I do." Maddy replied with a small smirk.

I let out a snort already walking out the door.

"You could have at least waited for me ya know."

"I waited for you for at least 10 minutes now." I muttered.

"There's no harm in waiting a bit more."

"Just start driving." I turned my head, looking out the window.

A few minutes later we arrived.

"We're here! Come on Tia!"

I let out a groan, I could practically smell the alcohol from inside the car. I hesitantly got out the car, following Maddy.

There was barely any line as we waited our turn for the bouncer to check us in.

"Are you on the guest list?" The bouncer grumbled, looking between the two of us.

"Who took a piss-" Maddy started but the bouncer cut her off.

"Well, are you?"

"No," she said giving the bouncer a glare, "we are on the VIP list."

"We are?" I asked in shock.

"We are." she stated.

"You're on the list. Have fun."

Maddy snorted and grabbed my hand to drag me inside.

I was met by a deafening roar of music as the door swung open. Lights bounced off the ceiling and the wall as people were dancing to the music.

"This is crazy." I muttered. I should have just stayed home.

"What?" Maddy shouted.

"Nothing."

"I'll go get some drinks, you stay at the bar over there" she pointed to the right of me.

"Hurry back." I replied.

"Will do." She hurried off, and I made my way to the bar and took a seat.

Spreading my skirt over my legs I placed my purse on my lap and crossed my legs.

I stared at the people dancing at having to what seems like fun. Maddy had yet to come back so I had turned my attention to my cell phone.

Scrolling through it absentmindedly I kept my attention on my cell phone a few moments later before letting my eyes sweep across the room.

"Miss do you need a drink?" The bartender asked.

"No thank you."

"Let me know if you need anything miss." he said.

"I will thank you."

Giving me a short smile he left going to serve another person.

He was fairly handsome, but he didn't look like a person I would go for.

I continued to look around and my eyes landed on a familiar pair of bluish green eyes.

Before I could get a good look he disappeared out of sight.

Where was Madeline? I thought she had went to go get drinks. It shouldn't be long to get drinks.

The deafening roar of music was becoming too overbearing for my ears. I sent a quick text to Madeline telling her I had went outside for some fresh air.

Standing up from the stool I made my way past people, muttering an 'excuse me'. I headed for the patio doors I had saw earlier upon our arrival.

Sliding open the door I had found that not many people were outside. Most of them were of course drunk half of them laying on the grass. The other half were playing in the swimming pool.

I found a seat near the opposite end of the patio door.

Sitting down, I let out a bored sigh.

I can't complain though I didn't really come to this party to have fun.

I grabbed my phone once again, playing a random game.

I was getting bored of this quickly. I was going to send another text to Madeline that I was going to go home when someone crossed my line of view.

"Hello Ms.Diamond."
