|CHAPTER 21|

***NOT EDITED***

[RECAP]:

I pressed the button to go to the 7th floor.

It was quiet, too quiet, I could tell something was wrong.

I watched the numbers on the elevator climb until it stopped on the 5th floor.

"Oh no. Not again."

And the lights went out.

*

It was pitch dark except for the red lights saying ERROR. Terrified I reached out for my phone and hurriedly put my flashlight on.

"Mr.Collins? Are you there?"

I waved the flashlight around some more and finally it landed directly on him. And he wasn't smiling.

"Get that out of my face now!" he said angrily, taking off his shades to set his angry eyes on me.

"Sorry." I said sheepishly and slid my phone on the floor so it could illuminate our surroundings.

After a few moments of silence I asked, "So what do we do now?"

"We wait." he simply replied.

Confused I asked, "Can't we just press the emergency button?"

"It won't work. This happened to me before," he stared at me and then muttered, "and will certainty never will happen again"

"What was that?" I asked innocently.

"Nothing." he said.

We fell into silence again, the only sound heard was a brief humming noise and then it stopped.

"They cut the AC off." he said.

"Oh."

With a sigh, Mr. Collins stepped forward and removed his suit, revealing a white long sleeve muscle shirt.

"W-What are you doing?" I asked hesitantly.

"Stripping. Do you have a problem with that?" He smirked at me defiantly and then put his suit jacket over the railing.

I didn't respond and simply tapped my foot, anxiously wanting to touch my phone, but couldn't because of fear of the dark.

And yes, I am still afraid of the dark.

"So, I'm bored, want to play a game?"

I glanced over and saw his face scrunch up in thought and then blankly stared at me.

"No." He said.

"B-But, why?" I asked.

"No." He stated finally.

2 hours later.

"Pleaseeeeeee!" I wailed out.

"Nooooo." he said.

We were still in the elevator, no one had come to rescue us, and my phone was about to die.

"You are so annoying!" I yelled, my frustration getting the best of me.

"What did you say?"

I glared angrily at Mr.Collins only to see him fuming at me. I quickly averted my eyes and stared at the floor.

"Fine. I'll play your silly game." he said after a few moments.

"Really?! Thank you Mr.Co—"

"Ah, but I'm not finished, I'll play your game, if you go by my rules." He smiled wickedly and waited for my answer.

Confused, I asked, "What are your rules?"

"You have to agree first."

I thought over this for a moment. Should I play a game or should we sit in silence and wait for our body to shrivel up and die because no one is going to save us? The answer to this was easy...

"Yes."

Mr. Collins stalked towards me with an evil smile illuminating his face, "Great, now let's begin."

"Ok? Do you want to play truth or dare?" I asked him, reaching for my phone.

"No, use mine." He pulled his phone out, typed in something and handed it to me, "Wouldn't want you to cheat would I?"

"Of course not." I looked at his phone and then at him, "You want me to download an app?"

He shrugged, "You wanted to play a game..."

I nodded and clicked the install button, "So....the rules?" I reminded him.

"Yes, simply put, if you do not do any of the truth or dares, you are fired, and I won't pay you reimbursement for the trip back to the States."

This man is delusional, crazy, a sociopath, and everything rotten. I just had to get stuck in the same elevator as him. But, the pros outweigh the cons, I'll just have to do it, not only for myself....but for my mom too.

"Deal."

A ping sounded from his phone, signaling the app is installed. I sighed, sending a last prayer to God before saying, "Let's begin shall we?"

*

"Truth or Dare?"

"Truth." He said.

"What is the worst thing you ever done?" I asked.

"Fanculo a una ragazza che non mi piace" he said lowly.

"Ummm, English please." I asked.

"Sorry, you didn't specify." He grinned wickedly and took his phone from me.

"Truth or Dare?"

He was sitting on the floor, just a few feet in front of me. I don't know why I just got a sudden flow of emotion as I looked at him. His hair was flopping in front of his face, and a slung arm across his forehead. And his body, he looked like a whole snack, while I probably looked like a hot mess.

"Hey, did you hear me?" Mr. Collins snapped his fingers in my face, "Answer the question."

"Oh! Sorry, truth."

"What is a secret that you have never told anybody?"

Oh no. I definitely couldn't say it, I can't tell him about my mom....

"Um...I went into a boy's bathroom stall on accident."

He looked at me curiously and then said, "Oh."

"Yeah." I sat there wringing my fingers as he looked at me oddly and then he asked, "Do you happen to be lying to me?"

"N-no. What do you mean?" I asked carefully.

Mr.Collins sat nearly one inch away from me now, his eyes peering deeply into my own, and then he blinked and moved back.

"Your turn."

I calmed my beating heart before taking the phone from Mr.Collins.

"Truth or Dare?" I asked.

"Truth." he said.

"Who was your first kiss?" I asked.

"Some girl in middle school, it was at a dance party, and it was her birthday, and her wish was to kiss me, so I did."

"Cute." I smiled, watching his reaction.

He smirked, "What can I say? People like me."

Immediately, my smile dropped, "I should have not said anything, your turn."

He sighed, "Truth or Dare."

"Dare."

"Hmmm, I like this one." He smirked at me.

"What?" I tried to grab for the cell phone but he wouldn't give it to me.

"I dare you..."

I gulped anxiously.

"What?! What's the dare?"

He said nothing and simply gave me the phone.

"I dare you to kiss another person playing this game, while sitting in their lap, and give them a lap dance... for thirty seconds." I read aloud.

"Nooooo!" I wailed.

"A dare is a dare, and remember the rules." He smirked at me and patted his lap.

I shuddered crossing my arms, "That's not even fair! That's like three dares in one!"

"I'm waiting." he said smugly.

"You're despicable!" I remained unmoving in my place.

"Rules are rules, unless you would like to get fired?" He asked tauntingly.

"No! But you've been so mean to me," I started to sniffle, covering my face so he wouldn't see I was faking it. "I'm your personal assistant, not some stranger you scumbag!"

I pretended to fake cry, using my shirt now to cover my face, the next thing I knew I felt Mr. Collins wrap his arm around me comfortingly.

"OK. I'm sorry. Is that better now?" He patted my shoulder.

"No! From now on you have to be nice to me!" I added in a few fake sniffles to cover up my laughter.

"OK fine fine, I promise to be nice to you. Can you stop crying now, this is getting weird.

I ignored him and continued to sniffle.

"Um, Tiara?" he asked.

I sighed, looks like I got to stop acting, I pretended to wipe my eyes, thankfully I wasn't wearing make up, and reached for the phone while he was distracted.

Mr. Collins snorted and removed his arm from my shoulder, "You still have to do the dare."

"Do I really have to?" I asked.

"Yes."

I sighed again, taking a look at the screen again only to see that it turned off, I handed the phone back to him and started to climb on his lap.

Mr. Collins, pulled me closer to him and then set the timer for thirty seconds.

"Ready?" he said.

"Yeah sure." I brang my legs to wrap around him so I could be more comfortable.

But just as I leaned in...my phone died.
