(It had been a week, or at least they thought it was a week...neither Popgoes or Candy could really figure out how much time had passed. But every single day, they would try one or three universes, hoping to somehow find their way back home. But the feeling of hopelessness was starting to settle in.)

Popgoes: Candy, what was the first universe we visited?

Candy: (sigh) Those Freddy's locations...

Popgoes: Right! Thanks!

Candy: What are you doing anyway?

Popgoes: Oh! I picked up a journal from that Steampunk Universe! Figured I could start taking notes about all the universes we've visited! It could help!

Candy: ...how?

Popgoes: Could tell us where we've been already! And who before us can say they've explored The Multiverse?

Candy: Pop...how are you still so positive...?

Popgoes: What...do you mean?

(Candy sits up, looking incredibly cross. He then throws his hands up in the air.)

Candy: Look around us! We've been going from world to world for God knows how long!!! And we don't even know if we're any closer to getting home! Let alone how to fuckin' tell that stupid gun where to go!

Popgoes: Candy-

Candy: Seriously!!! I feel like I'm slowly being driven crazy!!!

(He sighs as he sits down, looking defeated.)

Candy: ...I just wanna go home...

(Popgoes' heart clenches as he sits beside Candy.)

Popgoes: ...me too. I can't lie to you, I'm only trying to stay positive. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm succeeding...I miss my restaurant. I miss my friends. I miss my girlfriend...and I miss bringing smiles to people. Even if it's just one person. I'm sure you miss your home just as much. Maybe even more.

(Candy slowly looks at him, the look of defeat still evident on his face.)

Popgoes: But if they could see us right now...would they want us to give up? Just admit we've lost?

Candy: ...no...heh. My sister would probably kick me in the tail and say: 'Get up, you lazy bum!'

(He laughs at his terrible impression and Popgoes just smiles.)

Popgoes: Exactly. They're worth fighting for.

Candy: ...okay...okay, okay. One more try then?

Popgoes: I'm ready if you are.

(The two stand up and grab the portal gun, with Popgoes looking over it.)

Popgoes: Come to think of it, maybe we could find someone in one of these universes that is smart enough to help us get back home!

Candy: Hey...that's not a bad plan! There's gotta be someone super smart out there!

Popgoes: That's the spirit!!!

(Candy grins before Popgoes fires another portal and the two run through it, even diving through the brief fall and striking another superhero landing when they arrived on the other side.)

Candy: I will never not love doing that.

Popgoes: My mechanical knees...!

(Candy looks around and the universe they're in resembles the strange Freddy mall they were in last time, but it was abandoned and in ruins. Walls had caved in, almost all color was lost or faded, and various toys were either coated in dust, broken, or found in piles of trash.)

Candy: ...annnd disabling smelling sensors...

Popgoes: Ditto. What the bloody hell happened to this place?

Candy: I'm gonna assume that someone finally realized Freddy Fazbear is a piece of shit and then schemed an elaborate plan to take out his business once and for all-!

Popgoes: Or instead of terrorism, there was an earthquake.

(Popgoes holds up a newspaper revealing that there was indeed a large earthquake at 'Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex'.)

Candy: ...t-that's definitely a theory.

Popgoes: But this isn't our universe, so I guess we should move on-

(Candy suddenly holds up a hand.)

Candy: ...wait. I hear something. Someone.

Popgoes: Describe it.

Candy: I think it's...a kid.

Popgoes: What!? What on Earth is a kid doing in a place like this!?

Candy: I dunno, but we're getting 'em out.

Popgoes: Lead the way!

(Popgoes and Candy start traversing through the ruined Pizzaplex before they eventually arrive at a broken down place called 'Roxy Raceway' and are face to face with a little girl kneeling beside a broken down animatronic trapped under a forklift.)

???: Cassie...

Candy: ...hey! Kid!

('Cassie' gasps and suddenly puts on some kind of creepy rabbit mask and...disappears?)

Popgoes: What the!? Where'd she go!?

Candy: Can kids just go invisible here?!

???: W...who's there!? Where's Cassie?!

Popgoes: Oh my god!!!

(Popgoes rushes over, kneeling down beside the broken wolf.)

Popgoes: Are you okay!?

???: Does it look like I'm okay!?! Who are you!?! Where's Cassie!?!

Candy: 'Cassie' just disappeared...hang on, we'll get you out from under there!

(Popgoes and Candy then get on both sides of the forklift and with their mechanical strength, are able to slowly lift it up long enough for the wolf to crawl out and free herself. Popgoes and Candy then drop the forklift and look over her.)

Candy: The hell happened to you...?

???: I wanna know who you two are first!

Popgoes: C-calm down, we aren't bad guys! We're not even from here...my name is Popgoes. This is my friend, Candy.

???: And where's Cassie?!

Candy: She put on some weird rabbit mask and suddenly disappeared! We're as concerned as you.

(But then, suddenly, Cassie appears beside the three, taking off her mask.)

Cassie: You two...aren't trying to hurt me?

(Popgoes jumps into Candy's arms with a yelp.)

Candy: ...that answer your question, kid?

???: Cassie!!!

(The wolf, despite stumbling a bit in an attempt to find Cassie, suddenly pulls her into a gentle hug. Cassie hugs back, but tries to be careful due to all the sharp and exposed parts of the wolf's broken body.)

Cassie: Roxy!

Popgoes: Roxy? Is that your name?

Candy: Oh, so you're a genderbent Foxy?

Roxy: NO, I'M NOT-

Cassie: No, she's not!!! She's way cooler than him!!!

(Roxy, despite having no eyes or many facial features to show it, seems proud of Cassie and nods.)

Candy: Alright, jeez!

Popgoes: You can let go of me now-

(Candy immediately drops Popgoes onto the floor, and the weasel gets up after dusting himself off.)

Cassie: You said your names are...Popgoes and Candy? I've...never heard of you.

Popgoes: That...makes sense. We aren't from this dimension.

Cassie: ...huh?

Roxy: Cassie, get behind me, these two are insane.

Candy: We ain't lying! Look, Pop, gimme the gun!

(Popgoes hands Candy the portal gun and he fires a portal behind him. Cassie's eyes widen and her jaw drops, while Roxy just looks confused.)

Roxy: ...what's going on?

Candy: ...right...you can't see anything.

Cassie: R-Roxy, just take my word for it...they aren't lying...o-okay, this is a lot to process...

(The portal closes and Popgoes kneels down to Cassie's height.)

Popgoes: It's alright. Take it all in.

(After a brief moment of silence, Cassie slowly nods as she has taken everything in. Mostly.)

Cassie: Okay...I mean...I guess other dimensions don't sound too crazy anymore after the day I've been having.

Candy: Seems like we have a story.

Roxy: I think I need an explanation too. Cassie, what are you doing here? I can't see it, but this place is a wreck. It's not safe here.

Cassie: I...I came here for my friend. Gregory. He's trapped under Roxy Raceway.

(Popgoes and Candy's eyes widen while Roxy suddenly growls.)

Roxy: That brat?! He took my eyes!! He wrecked everything!

Cassie: W-what?!

Popgoes: Okay, how about we each explain one at a time? Maybe we can piece the story together! Cassie? You first.

Cassie: I...okay. Gregory and I met at my birthday party...he was the only one who showed up and he became my best- my only friend. One day, he went missing and I only just got a letter from him. Telling me to meet him here...and then, I started hearing his voice through this, telling me he's trapped under Roxy Raceway!

(She holds up her Roxy Talkie.)

Cassie: Along the way, I found this weird mask that gave me some kind of digital version of Helpy- he says 'hi' by the way.

Candy: ...wait, you have an A.I in your brain-

Cassie: And not only has everyone except Roxy been trying to kill me, but there's this weird glitchy rabbit chasing me throughout this place!!!

Popgoes: Glitchy...rabbit?

Candy: That...sounds kinda familiar...

Cassie: I've been having to shut off a bunch of security nodes and...and according to the mask and Helpi...R-Roxy's the final one...

(Popgoes and Candy slowly turns towards Roxy, who doesn't even look that hurt by it. Almost...understanding. As if she couldn't bring herself to be mad.)

Roxy: I...see...

(Cassie bites back a few tears before snapping out of it.)

Cassie: B-but...what do you mean Gregory did this?

Roxy: ...the little bra- I-I mean...your friend broke in here a while ago. Officer Vanessa alerted us he was an intruder and then, one by one, he started breaking us apart for our parts. My eyes, Monty's legs, and Chica's voice box...

Cassie: ...Gregory did that?

Candy: I...am kinda impressed that a 12 year old's able to do all that by himself.

Roxy: He had help...I think Freddy was on his side. Freddy's gone too, so I can only guess he left with him.

Cassie: N-no, he's...definitely still here. He's missing his head.

(Popgoes hums as he tries to work out the story, as if he was a detective in a murder mystery.)

Popgoes: We can assume Gregory left this place and that's why he went missing for Cassie. Then, the earthquake happened...but if you were really just trying to help him leave, it's either a misunderstanding or...something else is going on.

(Candy then suddenly starts snapping his fingers as an idea hits him like a truck.)

Candy: Pop...remember that one universe with the red-eyed rabbit?

Popgoes: Umm...yes?

Candy: Didn't one of them look like Roxy?

Popgoes: Wait...that's right!!!

Cassie: Red eyes? Roxy's are yellow.

Popgoes: Exactly! Roxy, did anything feel off that day? Anything at all?

Roxy: ...I guess I was feeling more...angry for some reason. Even before I lost my eyes. I-I don't know what, but...something was making me absolutely lose it. Like some kind of-

Candy: Virus.

Cassie: You're saying...Roxy was hacked?

Popgoes: It would certainly explain the unexplained aggression. And why Gregory even attacked you...perhaps it was less out of some sadistic plan and more out of self defense.

Candy: Especially if you were attacking him instead of trying to escort him.

Roxy: ...I...guess that makes sense...I still don't forgive him for what he did-

Popgoes: Ma'am. It's a child. Are you really going to hold a grudge against a 12 year old boy for defending himself?

Roxy: ...okay, fine.

Popgoes: But if he's trapped under this place, then we need to get him out-

(Suddenly, Popgoes freezes up as his eyes glow green and he begins staring at what appears to be nothing.)

Candy: ...Pop? Pop, what's wrong?

Popgoes: Y-you aren't seeing what I'm seeing, right?

(Cassie curiously puts on her VANNI mask, hoping she would possibly see the same thing, only for her to immediately take it off seconds later.)

Cassie: It's that glitchy rabbit thing!!!

(Roxy suddenly holds Cassie like a mother would her child, growling protectively. Candy quickly raises his fist.)

Candy: Oh, you think you're tough because you think you're invisible?! WELL, BRING IT ON-!

Popgoes: WAIT, WAIT! It's...it's speaking!

(Candy, Cassie, and Roxy look at each other before facing Popgoes again. Meanwhile, Popgoes is face to face with a dark blue rabbit with a glitchy and almost ghost-like appearance.)

Cassie: ...what's it saying? It...never spoke to me before.

Popgoes: They...have a Russian accent.

Candy: Weird detail.

Popgoes: They're saying their name is MXES? And that they're the security program for this place?

Cassie: That...explains why the nodes are rabbit-shaped.

Popgoes: They were activated a few months ago to keep people out for their own safety...and to guard a monster?

Roxy: ...a monster?

Candy: What kind of monster?

Popgoes: A monster that is very dangerous...it's called 'The Mimic'. It can mimic whatever it sees and...it's been trying to lure Cassie to free it?

Cassie: Huh!? But, that's-

Popgoes: Gregory isn't even here. He was here along with 'Officer Vanessa' from Roxy's story, but only to activate MXES and keep 'Mimic' from escaping...because if it does escape-

Candy: A lot of people are gonna die. Yeah...

Cassie: That...explains why Gregory sounds so...robotic sometimes. Or just refuses to explain...so, where's the real Gregory!?

Popgoes: MXES says they don't know. But...apparently our suspicions were correct. There was a virus here and it came from Mimic.

Candy: Jeez...so, this rabbit's a good guy?

(Popgoes nods.)

Cassie: Then why have you been sending killer robots after me?!

Popgoes: They say that the virus was destroyed, and they just assumed that they would properly escort you out of the Pizzaplex...but they hypothesize that there's still some after effects.

Candy: Never assume, bud.

(Cassie looks defeated and she even throws her mask onto the ground as she clenches her fist.)

Cassie: I came all this way to find my friend...only to realize he's not even here?! A-and that Roxy and her friends were hacked by some monster?!? This...this isn't fair!!!

Roxy: Cassie...

(Cassie starts to sniffle as tears slip down her face.)

Cassie: I-I just want my friend back...he's all I have...

(Candy, knowing all too well how she feels, kneels down to her height and sets a hand on her shoulder.)

Candy: ...I'm really sorry, kid. Really. I...can kinda relate. Where I come from? I have friends who mean absolutely everything to me. If they went missing and I had a chance to find them, I'd be tricked by this Mimic guy too if it said I could get them back...but think about it this way. If Gregory really is your friend, then maybe he's only missing so he can keep you safe. I know I would do the same for my friends.

(Popgoes kneels down as well.)

Popgoes: A girl like you shouldn't have to go through this at your age...it hurts when you can't find someone who means so much to you. Because you don't know if they're okay or if they're ever going to come back...and maybe Gregory feels the same way.

Roxy: Yeah...you aren't alone in this, Cassie. Not on my watch.

(Cassie starts to sob as the stress of the entire day finally starts getting to her. Roxy, Popgoes, and Candy all hug the poor girl. Even MXES looks at them softly from the AR World.

Roxy: It's going to be okay...it's all going to be okay...

(After a while, Cassie stops crying and wipes her eyes.)

Cassie: ...what do we do now?

Candy: I dunno about you, but I think we should find this Mimic thing and teach it a lesson!

(Popgoes' eyes glow green as he hears MXES immediately denying the idea.)

Popgoes: No, Candy has a point! If it somehow reached Cassie, it's going to try again! And eventually, it's going to get out. With the four of us? We can stop it for good.

Cassie: You mean five.

Roxy: What?! No! No, you are not going down there!

Cassie: Yes! I am! I've survived this long! I am not letting some stupid monster trick someone else! I can't fight, but I can be bait!

Popgoes: Absolutely not-

Candy: Fine.

Roxy: WHAT!?

Candy: Even if we tell her 'no', she's just going to follow us anyway. Kids just naturally don't follow rules. It's their thing. Plus? She's got that mask thing. She can just go invisible.

Popgoes: I- Oh, fine. MXES agrees...and they also have something to help out Roxy.

Roxy: Wha-

(Suddenly, the various missing pieces on Roxy's body are covered up by some kind of green hologram. Even her face and eyes are back in the same hologram.)

Roxy: I...I can see!!!

Cassie: BOOYAH!!!

Popgoes: Then who's ready to take out a murderous robot?

(The group makes their way under Roxy Raceway, past some kind of cave, and then into some kind of labyrinth filled with vents and various pieces of machinery. Until finally, they arrived at a large room with a forklift, a large and dusty machine labeled 'M.X.E.S' and a metal door.)

Popgoes: MXES says this is it.

Candy: (deep breath) Okay. Open it.

(Suddenly, the metal door opens to reveal some concrete behind it. Popgoes takes a deep breath, Candy raises his fists, Cassie prepares her mask, and Roxy gets ready to pounce.)

Popgoes: Get ready...

(Then, the concrete suddenly begins to crack as something behind it begins punching it. A large hole forms and an old rusty and burnt Endoskeleton with glowing orange eyes steps out.)

Mimic: (Gregory's voice) You saved me!

Candy: Yeah? And now we're about to end you!!!

(Candy charges at The Mimic, only for his fist to suddenly be caught. Mimic lets out a robotic roar as he tosses Candy across the room.)

Popgoes: CANDY!!!

(Roxy roars and lunges forward at Mimic, only to be swatted away like a fly. Cassie yelps and quickly puts on her mask as Popgoes charges and manages to get in a punch. Mimic's eyes just glow orange as he slashes the weasel in the stomach and then grabs his neck.)

Mimic: SDAEH DNA SBMIL FFO KAERB...

(Before Popgoes could even realize the backwards speech, Mimic suddenly grips onto Popgoes' heads and begins pulling. Popgoes shrieks in pain before Candy tackles Mimic to the floor and begins punching the robot over and over.)

Candy: CLAWS OFF MY FRIEND-!

(Mimic then catches both of Candy's fists and shoves him off with a robotic hiss. But then, Popgoes suddenly wraps his arms around Mimic, quickly sliding against the floor as he struggled to hold him down.)

Popgoes: ROXY, NOW!!!

(Roxy leaps forward, with Popgoes letting go just in time as Roxy and Mimic slam against the wall. Mimic is about to push back before Popgoes and Candy quickly take hold of his arms.)

Candy: O-OKAY, THIS GUY IS STRONG...!

(Roxy growls and tries to claw into Mimic's stomach, but Mimic's arms suddenly retract into his body, freeing himself from Popgoes and Candy. His arms pop back out as he grabs Roxy by her neck and throws her as if she weighed like nothing. Candy quickly tries punching at Mimic, only for Mimic to suddenly start blocking the punches with his own. He was mimicking him.)

Candy: POP, COME IN ANY TIME!!!

(Popgoes is desperately trying to think of a plan before his eyes glow green as he sees MXES gesturing for them to follow.)

Popgoes: ...HEY, MIMIC!!!

(Mimic finally punches Candy onto the ground and then stares at Popgoes with cold and dead eyes.)

Popgoes: COME AND GET ME!!!

Mimic: (Roxy's voice) YOU ARE NOTHING!

(Popgoes quickly starts running as Mimic chases him, and unfortunately for the weasel, the robotic monster was much faster. Mimic quickly caught up with him and slashed him in the back, causing him to scream in pain and fall onto the floor.)

Mimic: (Moon's voice) Nighty-night...

(Mimic slowly reaches for Popgoes to finish him off before a rock suddenly hits him in the face. Mimic isn't affected, but it grabs his attention as he looks ahead.)

Cassie: COME AND GET ME, YOU DUMB ROBOT!!!

Popgoes: C...Cassie!!!

(Mimic kicks Popgoes aside and begins running after Cassie, with Cassie luring him deeper and deeper into the strange cave-like corridors. Popgoes, despite being hurt, quickly gets back up as two people run behind him.)

Candy: Pop!!! You good?!

Popgoes: C-Cassie's luring that thing somewhere!!! MXES has a plan!!!

Roxy: Cassie!

(Once again, like a mother would her child, Roxy quickly dashes after them, with Popgoes and Candy not far behind as MXES continues leading Popgoes on where to go through what felt like an endless cave. Eventually, they saw Mimic chase Cassie into some kind of room.)

Roxy: LEAVE HER ALONE!!!

(Roxy howls as she lunges at Mimic again, only for him to catch her right by her face. His eyes glow orange as he begins to squeeze, only for Candy to suddenly slice the robot in the leg with his claws, forcing him to stumble before Popgoes finally tackles him.)

Candy: MXES, IF YOU GOT A PLAN, NOW WOULD BE A GREAT TIME TO USE IT!!!

(Mimic shoves Popgoes off as he begins fighting all three of them at once and while he clearly struggles with their numbers, he doesn't look at all overwhelmed as he tosses them aside one by one.)

Cassie: GUYS, DUCK!!!

(Mimic turns and sees Cassie in some kind of room. Popgoes looks and sees MXES in the room with her. Trusting the two, Popgoes, Roxy, and Candy all remain on the floor as Mimic walks closer towards the room, beginning to break the window.)

Mimic: (Multiple voices) C A S S I E ! ! !

(Suddenly, a gigantic claw comes out from the foggy areas of the room and grabs Mimic. The monster's eyes widen as he's taken into the air, with the claw starting to crush him. Everyone has no words as Mimic thrashes around desperately to escape, but to no avail.)

Mimic: (Springtrap's voice) I...A-ALWAYS...COME BA-!

(The claw fully crushes Mimic as his body splits apart into several pieces. The glow in Mimic's eyes disappears as his head crashes onto the floor, lifeless like the rest of him.)

Candy: ...holy shit...

Roxy: ...is...is he dead...?

(Popgoes very slowly goes over to the head and lightly kicks it, waiting for the eyes to suddenly start glowing. But nothing happens.)

Popgoes: ...I think we did it!

Candy: BOOYAH!!! But also...OW...

(Cassie quickly runs out as Popgoes and Candy cover their injuries and look at their now tattered clothes.)

Cassie: Are you guys okay!?

Candy: Y-yeah, kid. We'll be good.

Popgoes: ...you're a very brave girl, Cassie. I hope you know that.

(Roxy pulls Cassie into another hug, taking a breath of relief.)

Roxy: ...the weasel's right...but don't scare me like that again...

(Cassie just smiles softly as she hugs back.)

Cassie: Trust me...I'm not doing that again...

Candy: N'aww...

Popgoes: MXES says they can detect that Vanessa is coming alongside...Gregory and Freddy.

Cassie: W...wait...really?!

Candy: We coulda used their help a lot sooner.

Popgoes: Regardless, I think that's our sign to leave. MXES says once they get here, it should all be alright. Will you two be okay?

Cassie: After that? Nothing can stop us, haha!

Roxy: ...thanks, you two. Good luck in whatever you're doing.

Popgoes: Heh, we're just trying to get back home.

(Cassie gives an encouraging smile.)

Cassie: I'm sure you'll find it...but really. Thank you.

Candy: You're welcome. Have fun growing up for us, eh?

(Popgoes then takes out the portal gun and fires yet another portal. The duo look at each other before quickly running inside as it closes behind them.)
