Chapter Nineteen
*Kenny's P.O.V.*
I was pissed, so fucking pissed. I disappear for a week or so, and she hooks back up with him. Now, look at the mess she's fucking in. I just-
My thoughts were interrupted by a phone call. It was Vic.
"Hello?" I picked up.
"Kenny, thank God you are okay. I need help. I'm so scared right now-"
I quickly hung up.
Not today. Not ever again.
I arrived to the house in around three minutes. Helps that all law enforcement was too occupied with the war to worry about small laws at the moment.
I ran in, "(Y/N)?"
*Your P.O.V.*
I heard his voice from upstair, and I started crying as I rushed to see him.
"Kenny!" I cried, collapsing in his arms.
He didn't hesitate to hold me either. Everything that had gone wrong was finally better. Vic- Matthew- neither of them mattered anymore. It was me and him again.
It felt like time stopped, but it didn't. We stayed like that as if we were frozen, but we weren't. Time went on and so did the life around us.
"What the fuck?" a voice growled, bringing everything back into reality.
I knew it was Matthew, and I couldn't look. I refused to. My face stayed nuzzled in his shoulder, as I continued to sob.
This was all a bad dream. Every bit of it. It had to be. I didn't go for the summer. I never got jealous beforehand. Vic never came here. Kenny didn't kiss her. Matthew never came back- none it happened. It couldn't have been.
"Just let it go," Kenny said.
"Let it go?" Matthew laughed. "That is my girl. We are in love. You left and cheated-"
"Something you also did. The difference between me and you was that you never came back. I risked everything, brought a war here, to see her."
He smirked, "You mean the war that I arranged to get you out of (Y/N)'s life for a while?"
Again, it felt as if time had stopped.
