The next morning, Lilah gets up at the same time as Ginny and Hermione and heads down to breakfast with them, instead of staying in her room like she normally does. Ginny and Hermione are talking about how excited they are to go back to school. Lilah sits down at the table towards the end and starts to fill up her plate a bit. Liam sits in the seat opposite of her and places a mug of tea down for her.

"Hey Uncle Liam." Lilah says, sipping at the tea.

"Hey little Lilah," Liam smiles, "how are you doing?"

"Better," Lilah says, "how are my parents?"

"Doing alright, missing you greatly," Liam looks like he is thinking something over, "how would you like to see them?"

"I would love to see them but I thought, I wasn't allowed to leave here as it's the safest place for me right now?"

"I know but your aunt has been giving me some trouble about wanting to see Lee and I thought you would like to see your parents." Liam watches his niece's expression very carefully. Before Lilah can say anything to that, Lee slides into the empty seat beside her.

"Morning, Dad and Lil." Lee greets them before swiping a piece of bacon off Lilah's plate, causing Lilah to scowl at him.

"Lee, don't take your cousin's food and how would you like to see your mum today?" Lee's eyes light up really fast.

"I get to see Mum?!" Lee sounds more excited about anything than Lilah has ever heard him. The two cousins get ready to leave to go see their family. Lilah jogs down the stairs and waits for Lee with Liam when Sirius walks down the stairs and in the morning light, a welt is clear on his forehead.

"Sirius, what happened to your head?" Liam asks, confused and concerned.

"I scared your niece and she hit me in the head with a lamp." Liam looks over at his niece with a raised eyebrow.

"At least you know that I can defend myself if I need to." Lilah shrugs and Sirius nods his head in agreement.

"Quite well with a lamp. Again sorry for scaring you."

"All good, sorry for hitting you in the head with a lamp," Lilah says, "Mrs. Weasley made breakfast if you're hungry." Sirius heads into the kitchen leaving two out of three of the Jordans standing there.

"A lamp?" Liam asks, looking more amused than upset.

"It was the first thing I saw." Lilah defends her choice of late night weapon.

"Wait, what were you doing up?" Liam asks with a concerned look. Before Lilah can respond, Lee walks down the stairs with George in tow and the two boys are deep in conversation and don't notice Liam and Lilah.

"..I know I said I would tell them soon, but it's complicated, George." Lee was saying.

"How? Just tell them that we're dating. It's not that complicated, Lee." Lilah clears her throat which causes both boys to look over and Lee pales.

"Uncle Liam, you owe me five galleons. Right before seventh year." Lilah says, holding her hand out. Liam chuckles and hands her the money.

"Lee, as long as you are happy, your mum and I will not care who you are with." Lee looks calmer but looks towards Lilah.

"I don't care, date George, don't date George. It makes no difference to me. Now you ready to go Lee?" Lee nods his head and tells George he'll be back later and George nods his head and gives Lee a quick kiss on the cheek. The Jordans leave and head to Liam and Sophia's house where Sophia, Thomas, and Andrea are waiting.

"Lee! My baby!" Sophia squeals when she sees Lee. Lee rolls his eyes but indulges his mum with a tight hug.

"Hi, darling." Andrea says, hugging Lilah who lightly hugs her mum back. Thomas hugs his daughter next.

"Lilac!" Sophia reacts in the same way she did when she saw Lee, hugging Lilah just as tightly. Lilah hugs her back and rests her head on Sophia's shoulder.

"How have you been, aunty?" Lilah asks, pulling back from the hug and smiling at her aunt.

"Good, sweetheart. I've missed yours and Lee's presence," Sophia smiles at her niece, "and I'm glad both of you are safe."

"Why does Sophia get a better greeting from you than we do?" Andrea asks, sounding hurt. The anger that Lilah has been holding in for most of her life starts to boil in her.

"Yeah, we are your parents." Thomas points out and Lilah finds herself unable to hold back her anger any longer.

"Because Aunt Sophie has been there for me when you weren't. So has Uncle Liam. I have spent more of my childhood here than at our house. You two missed dropping me off at the train station for my first year and every year since! I have to wait at least a month before I get a letter from the two of you while they immediately respond to me! You two didn't even put up a fight when Uncle Liam told you that it would be safer for me elsewhere! YOUR JOBS ARE MORE IMPORTANT TO YOU THAN I AM!" Lilah breathes heavily, glaring at her parents. Thomas and Andrea exchange a confused glance while Liam, Lee, and Sophia don't look surprised by Lilah's words.

"Why didn't yo-" Andrea starts to ask her daughter.

"What was the point? Would you two have listened to me?" Lilah feels the tears prickling at the corners of her eyes and she turns and runs up the stairs to her room.

Although Lilah didn't know it at the time, Lee went off on her parents, scolding them for always making her feel like she wasn't enough and that they didn't love her before jogging up the stairs to check on Lilah.

Lilah feels the bed dip and feels someone start to run their hand through her hair.

"I'm sorry Lil." Lee whispers and Lilah sits up and sobs into Lee's shoulder. The two cousins sit there in semi-silence, the only sound being Lilah's crying.

"Is it weird that I am now starving?" Lilah asks as she pulls away from the hug. Lee chuckles and the two cousins head downstairs. Liam and Sophia are standing there quietly talking amongst themselves.

"Hey you two." Liam says when he notices the cousins.

"Mum, is it possible for you to make some food?" Lee asks and Sophia makes food and the four Jordans sit at the table eating and talking before Liam has to take the kids back. Lilah hugs Sophia extra tightly and Sophia reassures her that she will always love her.

Of course when they get back, all hell breaks loose because Harry Potter is in danger.
