SEAN'S P.O.V
Chapter Pic: Damian and Steelix

I woke up, my eyes blurry, and my vision distorted. I could only make out Snivey and Jason. Aww, Jason. Ever since that day I met Jason, I've been questioning myself. I mean, it was strange, and all like:

I walked up to the door, excited and eager, ready to meet the person who'd be my best friend for life. Or at least that's what my dad said. Jason fell out house face first, landing right in front of me. I peered inside and saw the most terrifying Pikachu I'd ever seen. It smirked wildly. Jason looked up at me, and something broke in me. A bone? A nerve? Wait, nerves don't break, do they? He had me messed up. But, I had to look cool, "Are you, Jason?" I said. He didn't answer at first, but when I heard his voice, all my systems stopped working.

His voice, the perfect roughness of masculinity, in the perfect tone of femininity. It made my insides quiver with Beautiflies and made my spine lose its solidity. It wasn't sexy, but it was something that got me heated just by hearing it. Damn, I just said a guy's voice was attractive. Stop it SEAN. See, what I mean?

Jason turned over in his bed, facing away from me, bringing Snivey all the way over. The sheet pulled away and I realized something. He sleeps in his underwearThis was not going to help. It didn't bother me, it bugged the fuck out of me! I'm trying to avoid these feelings. His black ass was so tempting, like a chocolate cake ready to be eaten up. I'd rub and smack and- no! I am not gay!

Torchic squirmed from under my sheets and looked up at me innocently. I patted his orange head. We were going to challenge Damian of the WiseRock Gym. After we visited the WiseRock, that is. My dad told me that getting to know the area, the people and the distinguishing aspects of a town really helps with becoming a more competent trainer. He never became a trainer himself, he said he was far too busy getting to know the Pokemon. I take his advice all the time, he always has something useful to say. I heard the WiseRock was the main attraction before the five other towns in the region were built, so it should at least be something interesting to check out. I got out of bed and made my way to the shower. I tried to wash all the unclean thoughts away.  But even more came. Maybe I was trying the easy way out by using warm water.

When I got out, Jason was awake, trying to talk to Snivey. The Pokemon didn't seem to appreciate the conversation. It puzzled me how when I had taken a shower, he woke up all of a sudden. But then there's that laugh that made my insides turn to jelly. No, you are not gay, Sean,  no. I wrapped a towel around my waist and exited, heading for my backpack. As soon as I stepped out, I heard a faint gasp. I looked over to Jason, but his hands were covering his face, "Dude, put on some clothes!" He yelled, waving his hands in front of him frantically. I kinda like the way he gets skittish. It's not like it's a dirty thought to appreciate your friend's likeable behaviour. Heck, boys will be boys. "What're you gonna do if I don't?" I said, shooting him my straightest face. He finally dropped his hands and looked at me, then grunted. "Snivey, vine whip!" Jason said, and immediately after the command, I felt my towel yanked off of me. Crap. The cool morning air surrounded my exposed body, and I stood there, frozen. Jason must've seen it. Oh shit.

But he didn't seem to see anything, so I covered up real good and rushed over to my bed. "That was mean Mr Shores, very mean," I said rushing to put on my underpants. I sighed with relief when Jason only had a split second to see my privates. Damn, I'm in deep.

After everyone got ready and we were packed, we began our quest... journey... However, you choose to put it. "So first thing's the WiseRock?" Jason asked me, his dark, chocolatey skin shining with under the sun. What? Eww! No Sean, don't think like that. Ugh.

"Yeah, that's the-" but my words were cut short by a scream somewhere near where we were. All I saw was the smoke and then heard terrified screams from the same place. The sigh and sound mixed together and spelt T R O U B L E in bright and bold. The smoke spiralled over the buildings, bobbing orange hue in its opaque form. It was like the screams had been trapped in the very fume itself, rising with it.

"Sean, don't just stand there, The WiseRock, it's burning!" Jason yelled at me, all at once my senses chipped in, and I saw what was happening. The town's most profitable attraction was burning! I ran over to the scene, and observed it's severity, wondering what we could do to help. But there was just no way. "Is there anyone here with a water-typed pokemon?!" Jason yelled out into the crowd. But I knew better than to ask that, this town only harboured ground types. Wait! I thought, Jason had Poliwag.

"Jason, your Poliwag!" I said, he looked at me confused. "It's a water type dude!" as if sense was knocked into him, he threw out the tiny armless creature, and shouted its commands. It wasn't enough though, the small jets of water could only hold the flames at bay. I had to think, what more could be done? Diglet! I released the ground type and it looked up at me from its burrowed position on the ground. "Hey Diglet. Listen, the WiseRock is burning and we need to help Jason and Poliwag, okay?" I took another glance at the situation and realized that people were still on the stairs that spiralled the WiseRock, flinching from the fire. That's why Jason isn't having Poliwag jet the rock at full power. That's it then, I need to prioritize saving the trapped people. "Diglet, avoid the flames and rescue as many people as you can, you too Torchic, get the kids," my two Pokemon swiftly carried out their commands, Diglet carried people on its head through the fires, while Torchic led the frightened children out as well. Soon, all the people were in the clear.

Jason noticed their absence and turned to Poliwag. "Poliwag, water gun, and don't hold back anymore!" In no time the fire was quenched by Poliwag's repetitive water gun attacks. After the flames and smoke had receded into the air, the people of the town stared at the remains of the burnt rock. It was still there, eroded, burnt, defaced maybe, but it was still there. They stood dazed for a good while until they looked over at us and gave us weird smiles. Not smiles you were used to every day, smiles that stretched from ear to ear. Yeah, they were that wide. They burst into cheers and rants and ran over to us, lifted us high on their shoulders and parading us all over town.

"They saved the WiseRock, they saved it!" they yelled. The exuberant cheers continued until they let us down at the WiseRock again. My body felt weird and light, as I tried to stand. "How, how can we repay you for your good deeds?" A man said, holding his hand out to us. Jason looked so shocked, I'd believe that a Pikachu had electrocuted him. I grabbed the man's hand and shook it, taking the attention from Jason.

"We're okay, we were just doing what anyone would've done," I said with the warmest smile I could give.

"No no, we must repay you," A tall, lanky bodied boy with grey hair and grey attire said, emerging out of the crowd. He looked at me with a comfy smile, and his big grey eyes invited me into his presence. "I'm Damian, the GymLeader for WiseRock." He held his hand out to me, and I took it quite readily. This wasn't a normal feeling, it wasn't like how I felt towards Jason, but it was weird how he made me feel like I was his friend without holding a decent conversation yet.

"I'm Sean Caeser and this is my-" I bit back on my words as the wrong ones chose to force their way out. "This is my friend, Jason Shores." Damian looked at Jason and gave him a smile. Jason returned the gesture in a blushy-kind-of-way. Wait, Hold up. What? Did Jason just blush?  "So, Damian, we were planning on fighting you today, I guess the reward you could give us is letting us be your first challengers." Damian looked away from Jason and back at me with a faint smile.

"Sure why not?" He said, turning on the spot. "Steelix, we got new victims!" Am enormous rock-steel Pokemon sprouted out of the smokey backdrop and growled its acknowledgement.
