As I arrived, and I'm stranded in this land
On a cliffside nearby, a village with rock-solid walls stands
Villagers pointed at the waves with their hands
As I saw it, my fears devoured my benevolent feelings.
I felt frozen with the wind striking

Hisses they heard, "Here comes the bitch," they yelled
For an alien in this territory, all I can think of is to be scared
The only hiding place is the field where I'm standing
And here comes the 'monster' I'll be encountering

The villagers never knew me; only my presence was what they felt
In shivers and tears, as I fear, is what I've dealt
A sea serpent leaped into the dark gray sky
With a fish-like face, sharp fins, and disastrous eyes

I thought it'd attack; once I breathed, it dived back
They said it was a guard defending them from the warpath
Which brought me to thinking about how people should act
Should I trust the angelic-looking or the monstrously-appealing?
