Chapter 33

TITUS REYES

The past week had been nothing short of magical. An absolute dream.

Just like every other morning these past few days, and since our first night together, I woke up in Salvadora's bed with her wrapped around me like I was her own personal blanket or cuddly toy. Her face was pressed into the crook of my neck, her arm thrown over my naked waist as she held me closer, and her legs tangled with mine underneath the sheets.

If I had been the first one to wake up after our first night together all those years ago, I would have never been able to leave the bed.

I would have never been able to leave her.

A blissful sigh escaped me as I gave her bare hip a firm squeeze before raising it to rest on her hair, gently smoothing it away from her face.

Salvadora De Leon was absolutely beautiful. Her outer beauty was the thing that drew me to her in the first place, but it was her inner beauty that made me want to stay. It was the way her eyes lit up when she laughed, and the way her nose scrunched up at the bridge in the most adorable of ways when she didn't quite like something.

And now, it was her heart that made me want to stay. That forced me to stay.

Not just the way she cared and loved Arturo, and brought him up by herself all these years, but the way she loved fiercely. She spoke so highly of her family and friends, and I eagerly awaited the day she would be comfortable for me to meet them. It was also the way she looked at me that kept me grounded. Kept me needing to stay because she looked at me just the way I looked at her. The way that I would not look at anyone else ever again. Or ever had, for that matter.

Even though it had only been a few short days, I couldn't imagine my life without Salvadora and Arturo. They were my life, and nothing would ever change that. Not my brother, and not anyone else.

"The way you're staring at me is creepy." Salvadora murmured, stirring in my arms.

I watched

"I was just thinking how beautiful you look in your sleep." I murmured, unable to resist the urge to angle my head down and rub the tip of my nose against hers.

"As opposed to when I'm awake?"

"You always look so beautiful."

"That's cheesy." Salvadora rolled her eyes, but she couldn't keep the smile from her face.

"It's also the truth."

She grinned, her eyes lighting up in that way I loved so much. When she lifted her head from my chest, slowing closing the distance between us, I groaned and tangled my hands in her hair, pulling her the rest of the way because I couldn't wait a moment longer.

Salvadora moaned in my mouth, only succeeding in making my morning wood grow even harder. I circled both my arms around her waist and pulled her closer until she was straddling me with my thick cock pressed up against her slick pussy in the most delicious of ways.

"Good morning." Salvadora murmured, playfully raking her teeth over my bottom lip as she drew arbitrary patterns on my chest with the tip of her index finger. It did very little to serve as a distraction from the way she rocked her hips against mine, purposely brushing her pretty pink pussy against my cock each time.

"Good morning." I groaned back, lifting my head off the pillow for another kiss because one just simply wasn't enough. Especially not when she awoke in the morning looking like a literal Goddess. "Come back here." I growled and fisted my hand in her hair, forcefully pulling her down to me one again.

She giggled but obliged, slanting her mouth against mine as she folded over on top of me, pressing her arms against my chest.

"I have to get to work." She whispered against my mouth, moaning between each hard, wet kiss. "We don't have time for anything this morning."

I pinched her plump ass and groaned. She was right and I hated it.

"You also have a big game this evening." Salvadora reminded me with one last kiss before she pulled away and rolled out of bed, almost as if for good measure. "And Arturo is going to be up soon, and I'd rather him not walking in on us having sex."

Salvadora was right. Today was the big day. It was the day of my very first football game with Mountbatten High. And the last, but I didn't want to think about. Not when there was still time until I had to leave for the season.

"Well, that'd be one way of us telling him that we're together." I chuckled, turning on my side as I watched her move around the room while she pulled her outfit together for work today. Naked and all.

"I think he already knows."

"Really?" I asked, quirking a surprised brow at her.

"He's a smart kid." She shrugged. "After you snuck out yesterday morning, he asked if you would return early enough to play ball with him in the yard."

"We don't give enough credit to that kid." I chuckled. "He has us all figured out, doesn't he?"

"It's kind of scary how much she does." She agreed, turning around to face me with an outfit in hand which kind of sucked because I was really enjoying staring at her naked body – voluptuous curves and all. "What time do you want us ready for today?"

"The bus is leaving at three." I told her, throwing back the sheets to finally get up and ready for the day. "But you don't need to leave that early. The game doesn't start till five."

"I think Arturo and I will drive up." She said. "You better play well because we'll be cheering you on from the stands."

A large grin graced my lips, and I couldn't resist pulling her into my arms, caging her in against my chest.

"Titus." Salvadora groaned, but she leaned into me, angling her head for another kiss. "We really don't have time for this right now."

"I hate how right you are sometimes." I complained but couldn't bring myself to move away as she sucked on my tongue, teasing me even though she was trying to put a pause on this.

"How about I make you a deal?" She whispered against my mouth, her hands slowly moving down my chest until the skimmed my pelvic bone.

"What kind of deal?" I groaned out the question, my cock practically weeping at this point as she brushed her hand against the thick, mushroom head.

"If your team wins tonight, after Arty goes to bed, you and I can have a celebration of our own." She kissed me on the mouth once more before pulling away.

I could do nothing but palm my cock as I watched her walk away from me.

"I'm going to hold you to that." I called after that.

"Then you better not lose, player." Salvadora shot me a sensual grin, and I had to work hard to save myself the embarrassment of cumming then and there in my hand.

"I never lose."

Salvadora's beautiful laugh sounded from the hallway as she went to wake up Arturo, and even though I knew I needed to leave before he saw me to avoid confusing him more than he probably already was, I couldn't bring myself to move.

I needed a moment, and not just for my morning cock.

My heart was so full and heavy, and I had to wait a moment for it to calm down before I could move. I had just been so happy this past week. Happier than I ever remembered being, and I had two people to thank for that.

I love you, I wanted to say but instead, I settled for the promise of tonight because my team was going to win.

I always won.

Coaching football was nearly as exciting as playing football. Nearly.

The second half had just started, and we were up by five points. It was nothing to brag about, but if we kept this up, then we would go home as winners. Though all of these boys were already winners in my eyes.

Every single one of them had improved so much in the two months that I had taken over as their coach. They had made me proud, and I was truly going to miss each and every one of them when I had to leave. We all knew this was only a temporary job from the very beginning, but it didn't make it feel any less bittersweet.

The fact that Salvadora and Arturo were sat in the stands, cheering me on just made this whole experience all that more special. They both surprised me by turning up wearing my jersey even though I wasn't playing, and I hadn't been able to stop grinning since.

I truly couldn't remember a time when I was happier than when I was now.

The crowd erupted into another round of cheers when Mountbatten High scored another touchdown, increasing the gap between our opponents. If we kept this up, this game would be a sure win.

My team only proved me right when the claxon finally went off and we easily won the game by fifteen points. It certainly wasn't the most challenging football game I had ever seen, but it was good by high school standards, and I was so damn proud of every one of my players.

"You guys smashed it!" I grinned, clapping as many of them on the back as I possibly could when they surrounded me. "You played so well. You've made me proud! All of you!"

The home team weren't particularly happy about their loss, but they were good sports as they lined up to congratulate us.

"I'm going to deny this if anyone asks me about it, but I was scared shitless when I found out that the infamous Titus Reyes was coaching at Mountbatten High. I honestly thought we wouldn't stand a chance and you only served to prove me right." Coach Harrington – the coach of the opposing team – chuckled, shaking my hand in congratulations.

"Don't worry about it, coach. This was and is the only game I'll be coaching."

"You're not sticking around?"

"No." I shook my head. "I'll be heading back to New York for the next season."

"Well, I look forward to seeing you play on TV. I've been an Eagles fan forever."

"I'm glad to hear that." I grinned, but our conversation came to a swift end when my phone rang. "Sorry." I murmured as I glanced at the caller ID. "I have to take this."

The crowd was still cheering on the winners when I picked up the phone.

"What's with all the noise in the background, Reyes?"

"My team just won, Coach!" I yelled into the phone so he could hear me over all the noise. "They've just won their first game of the year."

"That's great to hear! Especially since that means it's time for you to come back now. You haven't forgotten, have you, Reyes?"

"Of course, not." I denied but then swore under my breath.

While I hadn't forgotten about the contract or the verbal agreement with Coach, I had been doing everything I possibly could to not think about having to leave Mountbatten.

My life had completely changed in the past two weeks. I no longer wanted the same things I wanted two weeks ago, but I was contractually bound.

"Great. I expect to see you at practice tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" I sounded in surprise. "That's so soon."

"It's what we agreed, remember?"

"Right, yes." I groaned and ran a hand down my face. "Is there any way we can push it back a week or two?"

"No way, Reyes. We need to get you back in practice and in good shape. With less than two months until the season starts, we're already short on time. So, I expect to see you on the field tomorrow morning, Reyes. Bright and early." Coach said, leaving no room for argument.

"Okay, coach." I murmured. "I'll see on the field tomorrow."

"Remember to bring you're A-game!"

If I wasn't so suddenly depressed that I would have laughed but instead, I said my goodbyes and hung up the phone. I didn't have much time to dwell on the fact that I needed to book a flight as soon as possible if I was going to be on the field for training tomorrow morning because I heard Arturo calling for me.

"Did you see the game, buddy?" I chuckled, immediately lifting Arturo into my arms when he came running toward me with his beautiful mama not far behind.

"Yes!" He grinned, looking so much like me that it took my breath away.

How was I supposed to leave him behind?

"You did really well with the team, player. They played amazing." Salvadora chuckled, wrapping one arm around my waist and one around Arturo as she joined us.

There two were really going to give me a heart attack one day with how happy they made me.

"I can't take all the credit for it." I grinned, wrapping an arm around her waist as I stole a kiss. Arturo pulled a face, and we both laughed.

"Maybe not, but you have held up your end of the deal."

My eyes lit up at her words. "I can't wait for my reward."

"Me neither." She grinned and reached to take Arturo from my arms. "Go get your boys ready because the sooner we get back home, the sooner you get your reward."

Her words were enough motivation I needed to usher all the boys into the changing room, desperate to get back home. Not just because for the dirty reward she promised me this morning, but because I feared this would be our last night together for a while.

Of course, Mountbatten High won the game, and I won my first game as a coach, but a win had never tasted so bittersweet before.
