I open my eyes, and sigh with the force and energy of someone woken up too early on a day they don't have to do anything because it's a weekend.

"Cana!" I roll over to look at my roommate, who's working hard at her desk.

"Sorry, guess I forgot to turn off my alarm clock." She smiles apologetically.

"Still working on your portfolio?" I get out of bed, stretch, and walk over to where she's working. Leaning a little bit over her shoulder, I see the multiple works Cana made of myself, and many others. I blush a little when I see the one of me in that black cat outfit. "These are beautiful!"

"Thanks. And Reedus has been a huge help. He's the best in class, you know."

"I know, I've seen his works. But it's Saturday, Cana. Did you get any sleep last night?"

"Uhh, possibly. Maybe." She laughs, stifling a yawn.

"It's seven thirty! Cana, you get some sleep, and I'll go get us breakfast. Sound good?"

"Sounds like a dream. I owe you, neko-Lucy."

"Can we forget that!" I exclaim, hiding my face.

"Never." She yawns. "I would kill for a coffee and muffin."

"Chocolate chip?"

"You know it," Cana winks, then collapses into her bed. Still in my comfy pajamas, I put on a pair of shoes and grab my bag. I exit the room and dorm building, and immediately cover my eyes from the sun. It may have rained all week, but the sun decided to make an appearance today. I look around the area between the dorms and smile. This place really has become my home.

"Shh, don't you know what time it is?" I hear a female voice squeal.

"I know it's early," a masculine voice replies.

"Yeah, too early for this!" She squeals, enjoying herself.

"Shut up, it's not like I'm doing anything," he growls.

"You're not?" I can feel her automatic pout. I turn around to leave the campus, when I hear shuffling behind some tree. A girl stumbles backwards from behind the tree, a girl I don't recognize. She falls on her butt, her face extremely flushed, and looks up at me with a wild grin. Stepping around her, I come face to face with who else, but Natsu himself!

"Oi, hi Luce." He brushes his hands against his pants and gives me a troublemaker grin.

"Yeah, sorry for... Interrupting you two." I scrunch my eyebrows together.

"Oh it's alright. It's not like we were doing anything." He shrugs.

The girl stands up and clings to Natsu's side, "we weren't?" Her voice drips with an awkward attempt at a sultry tone. He brushes her off again, and I clear my throat.

"I was just leaving, anyways." I shuffle away to leave Natsu with his... Problem.

"Where're you going?" I sigh when I hear Natsu jogging after me. I turn around to see that he left the girl behind, looking very confused, slightly hurt, and a little envious.

"Just to get breakfast. I need to get back to Cana anyways..."

"I'll come with." He interrupts me with a friendly smile, but I just continue walking.

"So where are we going?

"Nice pajamas.

"What are you hungry for?

"You need a car? Cause I got a car."

Natsu just won't shut up.

"I'm fine, Natsu. I just need to go to a small cafe to grab a sandwich, and a coffee and muffin for Cana."

"I'm sure Love and Lucky has that. They're not just a restaurant, you know."

"I know," I mutter under my breath.

"Ok. So let's go." He almost throws an arm around my shoulders, but I step away.

"I don't exactly remember inviting you." My voice is low and balanced. Natsu stops walking. "I- I'm sorry. That was cold..."

"I was going to say harsh," he brushes it off with a childish grin and tilts his head.

"Y- you can come along. But I'm going straight back to my dorm after."

"Alright!" He just looks happy at being officially invited. __________________________________________________________

"G- gomen, I am the manager. May I seat you two?" The woman at the front asks us, her nervous face hidden behind the menus. Her pink hair sticks out just above the papers.

"Uh no, we're just here to get something from the bakery. Thank you, though." Natsu gives a friendly bow, and the woman smiles at him. Then she looks up at me, and drops what she's holding in shock.

"Miss Lucy- San!"

I quickly bend down to help her pick up the fallen menus. Putting a finger to my lips, I stand up with the papers in hand.

"Oh, right. Gomenesai. You two know what you're doing." Natsu heads towards to the bakery, but not without shooting me a confused glance first. The woman grabs my arm before I can follow him, "you know I will have to tell your father about this, right Lucy- San?"

"What!? Why?" I try to keep my voice down, but I don't know if I succeeded.

"Well, if you're going to go on dates with your new friends..."

"DATES?" I explode a little bit, then calm down, blushing like Erza's hair.

"GOMEN! I won't tell your father, miss Lucy- San!"

"You don't have to, Aries- chan. You're not in trouble, because I'm not dating him. We're just friends."

"O- ok. Gomen. Have a nice day."

"Thank you, Aries- chan. I'll see you later." I grasp her hands, then join Natsu on line at the bakery area.

"What was that about?" He leans over and whispers to me.

"N- nothing. Don't worry about it."

"Ok..." He drags out. Soon it's his turn to order. "I'll have the spiciest breakfast food you're allowed to serve, thanks!"

"Can you even do that?" I ask with wide eyes.

"Of course." He nods his head and throws me a wicked glance.

"Hot-head," I laugh, shaking my head.

"Well what are you getting?" He turns to me. I lean over the display and order.

"Toasted bagel with cream cheese please! Oh, and a chocolate chip muffin, and a medium coffee, black."

"Damn, Luce. I didn't know you take your coffee that way!"

"I don't!" I reply, laughing at Natsu's face. "It's for Cana."

"Right. That girl can handle her drinks, lemme tell you that."

"Oh, I know." Natsu gets his food and pays. "So what exactly did they give you? Spicy food in the morning?" I shake my head again.

"It looks like a normal egg sandwich with... Tabasco sauce! Yes!" Natsu grins and takes a huge bite.

"You're going to get a stomach ache!" I laugh at him.

"I- own- air!" He replies between bites.

"I'm going to assume you said 'I don't care'. Just don't ask me to take care of you when that tabasco sauce hits your-" I'm interrupted by a very loud growling sound coming from where else, but Natsu's stomach. I look at him pointedly.

"Nah, I'm alright, Luce. It's just settling. I LIVE on spicy foods."

"I don't doubt that." I grab my order from over the counter, pay, and walk out, a steaming Natsu following.

"So we're headed back to the dorms?"

"I'm headed back to the dorms. You can't come in, remember?"

"Who said I can't?" Natsu raises one eyebrow.

"Uh, the master? School rules?"

"Oh come on, it's early and nobody cares. It's not like anyone's going to see me." At this point, we've already reached the campus, and Natsu walks me to the girls' dorm entrance. I slide my ID card against the keypad for the front door, and Natsu holds it open for me.

"Thanks," I breathe, juggling my key and our breakfast orders in my hands. I hand over the paper bag, while I pull out my room key. Suddenly, I remember something, "don't you dare eat any of that!" Natsu had just peeked into the bag when I said that, and I glare at him.

"Ok, ok!" He laughs. I roll my eyes, and we go up to my room. Quietly pushing the door open, I see that Cana's still sound asleep in her bed. I pull out her muffin and coffee, and leave them on her desk for her to find.

"Shh!" I whisper to Natsu, as I pull the door closed behind me.

"Is she still asleep?"

"Yeah. I don't want to bother her."

"Great! So you can spend the day with me!"

"Oh great..." I roll my eyes. I don't think I'll be able to get myself out of this one.

"Yeah, it will be great. You'll have fun, I promise." He looks at me with puppy dog eyes, and I think about the first time, last time, and only time he wanted to show me fun. He seemed really genuine and kind, but turned out to be disappointing. But I also have to admit, I did have fun.

"Alright, Natsu. I'll spend the day with you." I'll give you one last chance. Don't mess it up.
