"Who is Megara Evans and what does 'Dr.' mean?" wondered Sierra as she opened the book. She flipped through it and found an entry at the end of the book that made her gasp

"The plague is spreading. More people are dying by the moment. The cure is so close, yet so far. Everything is there but one element that is not on the periodic table. If I can't identify this element, we may never survive." Sierra looked at the bottom of the page and there was a molecular structure diagram of the unknown element.

"Hey! That's catalinium! We use that all the time in chem." Sierra then realized, " Oh. My. GOD! This book is from before the plague!" She then ran home to hide the book. Once she got there she decided that she would keep the book secret from everyone but one person, her best friend Caitlyn. Caitlyn was very good at keeping secrets from others.

Later that night, Sierra went to Caitlyn's house. And she brought the book with her.

When Caitlyn saw the book, she gasped.

"What's wrong?" asked Sierra.

"The name in this book, Megara Evans? I've seen it before, in a box I found. It's full of pre-plague stuff, maybe it has more on this."

"Let's find out." responded Sierra and they went into the basement.
