- Chapter 2 - Spencer Willis -
Warnings: mentions of death, illness, the Refuge, Snyder, and running away
Third Person POV

The World Newspaper
Nurse Passes Away, Leaving Son Behind

By: J.B. Barrington

Sarah Willis was a nurse at Lower East Side hospital. She was said to be a beloved nurse; loved by her patients and co-workers and son.

Willis worked at the hospital for close to twenty years, before she passed away from an unknown illness overnight Monday into Tuesday.

The doctors tried to figure out what the illness was, but all they know is that it spread from her heart to her brain and killed her.

Sarah Willis had a eleven-year-old son, Spencer Willis, who woke up to find his mother dead in her bed.

Willis was constantly seen teaching her son about how to be a doctor and people who saw them said they had a great relationship.

Spencer was supposed to be taken to the Refuge as he had no other living relatives, but he ran away before they could take him to the Refuge.

Spencer Willis is a darker skinned boy, who is just over average height for his age. He has short, brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white button down shirt and black pants.

If you find eleven-year-old Spencer Willis, bring him to the police or to the Refuge.

I know this chapter isn't great, but the chapters that are the Newsies in the paper will be short. Sorry if it doesn't sound or look like a newspaper.

Also, Specs's age in the book (for all of the current-day chapters and not the newspaper chapter) is 16.
