Third Person POV

The World Newspaper
Refuge Escapee Seen Stealing, Be On the Lookout

By: J.B. Barrington

Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, eleven-year-old Nicholas Meyers escaped the refuge.

Nicholas Meyers was first taken to the Refuge when he was found stealing from a store.

"Nicholas was abandoned by his parents when he was a baby and has lived on the streets for most of his life," Warden Snyder informed the paper when he was interviewed about the incident. "He was taken in by another family to try and help him become less troubled, but they abandoned him when they found out he was too far past help."

Nicholas was sentenced to a year in the Refuge, and had only been in the Refuge for about five months when he escaped on Tuesday.

Nicholas was seen Friday morning trying to steal from a shop in central Manhattan. He left behind the items he tried to steal when the police spotted him and took off.

The police lost him after chasing him for almost twenty minutes. He had lead them to a series of back-allies and abandoned buildings, which he eventually lost them in.

Nicholas Meyers was last seen wearing black pants, a black and white undershirt that was extremely dirty, and an orange and brown flannel that has multiple tears in it. He's short for his age and has brown, fluffy hair.

Warden Snyder asks that if you see Nicholas Meyers, you alert the police immediately so that they can get him back in the Refuge as soon as possible.
