Child's Grandparents are Murdered

On Thursday, a little boy ran to the police station. He was covered in blood and sobbing.

This little boy was six-year-old Liam Moreno. Liam had lived with his grandparents, Matteo and Loretta Moreno, since he was born.

When police finally managed to calm Liam down, they were told that his grandparents were bleeding a lot and were asleep on the floor of the apartment they lived in. Liam said he'd been trying to wake them up, but they wouldn't wake up.

Police had Liam show them the way to his apartment, and when they entered, they found a terrible sight.

Loretta and Matteo Moreno were dead on the floor of their apartment. They each had multiple stab wounds on their stomaches and Mr. Moreno even had one on his head.

Police investigated the crime scene, declaring it a murder. However, they have no leads as to who could've done something like this.

Neighbors and friends say that the Morenos lead great lives and that they loved their grandson. The three were seen laughing together and always seem happy to be with each other.

Liam was taken to an orphanage on the south side of Manhattan while the investigation went on, where he will stay until he either ages out of the system or gets adopted.

Police ask that if anyone knows anything about what happened to Mr. and Mrs. Moreno to please step forward so they can give some closure to their loved ones and friends.

Lucky's age in the book (for all of the current-day chapters and not the newspaper chapter) is 10.

As a general thing, I don't really have a face-claim for Lucky. If my characters (mainly the Jacobs siblings) are based on the Broadway, tour, or Livesies version, I'll usually use 1992sies Les as Lucky's face-claim, or even 1992sies Snipeshooter because if I'm going to have Sniper in my story, it's girlsie Snipes from the tour lol.
