Hello, all!!

If you don't know me, my name is Stage (or some form of Bree, or Sweets, or Crackers—literally whatever you chose to call me lol). My pronouns are she/her, and I'm probably not straight, but we're ignoring that because I don't need to figure that stuff out yet (:

I write a lot (A LOT) of stuff on Wattpad, and just started editing my one-shots to make them good enough for AO3 and putting them on there lol. (This book will also probably go on AO3.)

A lot of my stuff is unfinished, which is why I decided to finish this story before I started posting it (thank you, iwantaferret_ ). A lot of my older stuff is also really bad, so please don't judge me for that stuff (like "A Delancey Sister" *shudders*).

Also, random thing: I found an italics generator and I'm having far too much fun with it on this story lol.

Anyway, here is the plot line of the story in case it was unclear or there was any confusion:

While running from the police/Snyder, David and Les ran into a group of boys. The forgotten boys. They live in a lodge in a secluded part of Manhattan. These boys were all found by Jack and taken in so they didn't have to go to the refuge or their bad home lives. Over the story, we see the papers written about these boys when they were in accidents or ran away from the police or their families, and we watch David (and Les, technically) start to join the family.

Anyways, I hope you all liked the story! If you had a favorite chapter or any feedback/constructive criticism, I always love hearing stuff like that! (Or reading technically... we don't rely on my ears haha.)

I did a lot of research for this book, so that's a thing. I know two people who may appreciate my little fun fact history things at the end of some of the chapters, but I won't tag them lol. I think they may know who they are? Idk. Anyways, I did my research. (Reminder: this story is set around the mid-1950s, maybe earlier, but idk.)

I know this was one of my "shorter" stories lol. I mean, it's no "It's Delovely" which is literally two chapters, but granted, those are longer chapters haha. In this one, I kinda let myself off of the hook with the whole "you must have over 1,000 words, preferably over 1,400 words" thing. But it is shorter than "In Between" and "Behind the Story" and "Soulmates".

(Btw, I don't recommend reading some of my older stories, but hey, some of my newer ones are okay—including my newer one-shots lol—like "Behind the Story", but that's also not everyone's cup of tea haha.)
