The Pit
Ever been in a Pit?
One with walls and stuff? Yes? No? Maybe?
Oh right, you're on top of it, and I'm at the bottom.
Looking to the sky, with the little sky I can see, it looks beautiful.
Wonderful in fact.
But I'm in a pit, one that has no way out.
Or so I thought...

With the world, and the people of the world just looking to their cell phones. The people who look around to help are getting fewer and fewer...
To the people who cannot help themselves, they rely on these people who look, and help.
But with fewer looking, fewer get what they need.
And that's where I am, at the bottom of this Pit.
They throw trash down like it's some kind of trash can.
But I sit at the bottom, hoping for something, someone to stop and look.
Someone to give a home, a smile, anything!
I would sometimes have to eat the trash, for food, the rain would fall in, always catching in a bucket I found once.
If you're thinking "Hey! Why haven't you climbed out yet?" well it's kind of hard, the walls are always wet, and last time I checked I can't climb up a strait wall, that's in fact two stories tall.
But I sat there...
Quiet and alone.
Day in, day out...
But then one day, I heard something; "Hey!" I looked up to see a little girl popping her head over the side of the opening of the pit.
"Daddy! Look!" she pointed down to me. Soon an older man came running over, and looked down as well.
"Oh my God" he muttered seeing me.
"Daddy! You have to save him!" the little girl yelled to her father. The man turned away, pulling his large phone out of his pocket, and calling someone.
"Yes, hello! My daughter and I found a puppy at the bottom of this well on the edge of town! Five Minutes? Alright! Thank you!" the man stuttered at the end.
They stayed the entire time, even when a man in strange clothes put a latter down to the bottom of my pit.
He climbed down and picked me up easily, he brought me to the sky. It was so bright, and warm.
The small girl smiled at me, and reached for me. The man in the strange clothes wrapped me in a soft blanket, then handed me to the girl.
She held me, only to turn to her father, "Can we keep him?" she shinned.
Her father sighed. "Sure, but you have to give him a name."
"I'm going to name him Timmy!" She laughed; her father gave a laugh as well.
"Because Timmy fell into the well"
