Chapter 5: The Runway Towards Paradise

Saber the Bunny's P.O.V

Date: June 17th, 2017

Time: 2:31 a.m.

Six Days Before Protocol Afton

"I still can't believe you were just activated today," said Charlie as the train shook a little from going under the tunnel. "Yeah. It's my first time seeing the world for sure. I'm surprised in the amount of a couple hours I've met you and the other guy the left a while ago. I kinda thought he was a cool person," I said. "Well, I'm sure he'll remember you, along with the video after that event occurred. Glad that guy that attacked you and him got off as well a while go," responded Charlie. "It's a shame you still don't have a full understanding about everything." "Well, remember what I told you; I wasn't programmed with everything about the world, everything else I have to learn on my own," I responded. "So why not be programmed with every bit of knowledge into you?" asked Charlie. "I don't know? Maybe because my creator, William, wanted me to experience the world rather than having every bit of knowledge already," I guessed. "And I guess in that sense there would be no experience. Not really a point other than to be a regular robot." "It sure does look your creator intended you to be that purpose that way," responded Charlie. "So? About you. What goes on in your life?" I asked. "Can you explain more?" asked Charlie. "Sorry. I guess how I'm trying to put it is: What do you do for your everyday life?" I responded. Charlie stared blankly at me for a moment, almost not being able to responded, as she turned away to stare ahead. "Uh. Nobody's really asked me that before," responded Charlie with a slight chuckle as she was still facing towards her. "Uh, well. I live in West Valley City in an apartment. And I work at Amazon in a position for delivering packages and things ordered by people to them. I'm not married and I don't have children, which is why I live alone. Not to forget I graduated from college a year ago." What's a Amazon?" I asked. "Um. You see. To put it short, it's a company that has a website where you can order anything online, which is then delivered to your house within the amount of days promised to you," she explained. "Speaking of companies. I didn't want to bring this up earlier, just so I didn't alarm you or make you think I'm leaving a bad impression on you. But the company that created the pizzeria's, and your creator, William, have a not so pleasant history." "What do you mean by that?" I asked. "Around the time of the eighty's, there were multiple fatalities that occurred at those establishments that involved multiple disappearances of children and deaths," she answered. "Wow... I didn't know my birthplace housed a bad history," I responded surprised from what she had told me. "And their memories don't leave us alone as well. Recently, there was another establishment; which was maybe opened I say about a while back this year, that burned down due to faltered wiring. But there's a rumor from the night guard who worked there that explained how an animatronic was the one who burnt down the building," she explained. "Maybe it was just a rumor," I responded. "Considering this guy worked at the establishment and the franchise's reputation, I think this rumor is a fact," responded Charlie. "You definitely are a nice... thing. To be around. But I would take a considerable look at the history of this Fazbear Entertainment and what else that Star Cluster isn't telling you." You think she's lying or hiding something from me?" I asked. "I'm just trying to say you need to look into the evidence, but not assume right away from what you're limited with. You don't know everything about the franchise. Not even I," she said as the train slowed down at our next pit stop. "This is my stop sadly. I doubt we'll see each other again, but I do hope you make it in life; it can be a real pain to deal with sometimes." "Maybe someone can teach me then," I responded. "I hope so. Just make sure that person isn't a jerk and that they know the full extent and hardship of life. That's what we're all prepared for," responded Charlie. "Good luck to you in your life," I responded. She got up and walked towards the doors, though not before stopping to look at me before smiling. And not without one set of advice I planned to remember her by. "Good luck to you as well. Do yourself one favor though: Set yourself a goal to give your life further meaning. Otherwise it will be dictated by others." She walked out the doors as others followed behind her to leave, leaving behind the knowledge I would remember for a long time and that would be my path to life. And the only other road that was available to take.

The bright lights above on the sign that read "Salt Lake City" had my full attention as I waited patiently for the train to halt its journey, for I had arrived at a place I could call home. Just the sound of wheels hitting the tracks and seeing the tiny sparks flying out below the bottom of the train only made my excitement raise even further. And I didn't need to be one to feel the rush of joy that they always seemed to have. Even with the doors barely having enough time to fully open I had already jumped up from the seat and had walked towards the doors, not even bothering to wait. Just the slow motion of the doors opening that seemed to try and stop me from reaching what was considered paradise couldn't prevent me from waiting forever, as I slipped through the tiny space that was there for a moment. The sound of someone shouting something from behind me because of my actions also didn't seem to bother me; I was off to paradise. Though even I should know a paradise is no different from a society. Right when I had made my way out of the doors, I bumped into someone while I did my best to shake off the accident. "Sorry," I responded immediately while looking at the person in front of me. Only I seemed to be practically begging for mercy from the law. I had bumped into a police officer, and his reaction was aggression now. "What the? Stay back!" exclaimed the officer pulling out a gun and pointing it at me. " Whoa what? I'm not here to c-" I tried to say before getting cut off. "Back away from the doors and move towards me!" exclaimed the officer while still pointing the gun at me. "I'm friendly I-" "I said back away now!" exclaimed the officer while cutting me off again. He was starting to act more aggressive now and I wasn't sure how I could explain I was friendly to him without leaving with a few broken wires and holes. "Hey!" Both me and the officer turned to see two guards walking over, most likely checking out the disturbance we had created. Both of the guards had a tan uniform, similar to a police officer uniform. However, one the security guards was black toned and was the one who called to us with a deep voice, while the other guy was more white toned. "What's the problem? What even is that thing?" asked the black security guard. "Just doing my job by finding this knockoff C-3PO who'd apparently caught a ride here," answered the officer who didn't take his eyes off me. "I tried to tell him I was friendly but he wouldn't listen! I was sent here and authorized by Fazbear Entertainment!" I pleaded. "Fazbear Entertainment? I thought that company died out?" asked the white security guard. "You don't see Chucky Cheese gone, do you?" asked the black security guard to the other one. "Anyways, we'll need to check and call your company to confirm this is legal," said the other security guard to me. "I'm going to have to stop the both of you right there. This responsibility is of the authorities and you two are in no position to hinder the law," said the officer. "Officer what is your name?" asked the white security guard. "Since you wish to know, it's Officer Miles," responded the officer. "Well Officer Miles, I regret to inform you we both have the jurisdiction to perform our duties, in which they must be done together now. Unless you wish for us to contact your superiors about the situation and inform them about your mishandled use of it," stated the white security guard thoroughly. Officer Miles was silent for a moment, not being able to respond until a moment later. "I understand." "Both you follow us. Unless you wish for our boss to be the one to haul you both in court," said the black security guard as he and the other guard stepped aside for me and Officer Miles to walk through. Me and Officer Miles both gave each other a look, both showing what we had both gotten ourselves into. The both of us walked ahead, while the guards trailed behind us, almost like they could strike us from behind when they had the chance. 'So much for trying to run towards paradise,' I thought. 'I only got caught by the things people try to stray from when they plan on heading towards paradise. Trouble.'
